QCD corrections to single slepton production at hadron colliders
We evaluate the cross section for single slepton production at hadron
colliders in supersymmetric theories with R-parity violating interactions to
the next-to-leading order in QCD. We obtain fully differential cross section by
using the phase space slicing method. We also perform soft-gluon resummation to
all order in of leading logarithm to obtain a complete transverse
momentum spectrum of the slepton. We find that the full transverse momentum
spectrum is peaked at a few GeV, consistent with the early results for
Drell-Yan production of lepton pairs. We also consider the contribution from
gluon fusion via quark-triangle loop diagrams dominated by the -quark loop.
The cross section of this process is significantly smaller than that of the
tree-level process induced by the initial annihilation.Comment: one new reference is adde
Semileptonic Decays of Meson to a P-Wave Charmonium State or
The semileptonic decays of meson to a P-wave charmonium state
or are computed. The results show that the decays
are sizable so they are accessible in Tevatron and in LHC, especially, with the
detectors LHCB and BTeV in the foreseeable future, and of them, the one to the
charmonium state potentially offers us a novel window to see the
unconfirmed particle. In addition, it is pointed out that since the two
charmonium radiative decays have sizable
branching ratios, the cascade decays of the concerned decays and the charmonium
radiative decays may affect the result of the observing the meson through

Multidisciplinary studies in environmental archaeology with particular reference to China: an introduction to the special issue
An important focus in research over the past decade is the relationship between climatic/environmental change and human cultural evolution during the Holocene. This decade saw an increasing number of natural scientists involved in this research, which led to debates and collaborations between natural scientists and archaeologists/anthropologists. This decade also witnessed an increase in multidisciplinary research across these subjects, which has improved significantly the understanding of the human-environment relationship. As part of this research drive, this Special Issue highlights the importance of multidisciplinary studies, mainly from China, on early rice agriculture, impacts of environmental change in Neolithic communities, and new approaches for environmental reconstruction. © The Author(s) 2012.published_or_final_versio
CUSTOMER READINESS, MARKET ORIENTATION AND TRANSACTION FREQUENCY IN MOBILE BANKING SERVICE RECOVERY
This study investigates the effect of internet banking service recovery satisfaction on future intention toward using mobile banking, and examines transaction frequency as a moderator of this relationship. Moreover, this study applies customer participation in service recovery and service recovery experience as the influential factors of service recovery satisfaction. Questionnaires were obtained 419 respondents with internet banking and service recovery experience. The results of SEM analysis illustrate that both role clarity and ability of service recovery can affect the level of service recovery participation. Additionally, the internet banking service provider’s responsive and proactive customer orientation can influence customer service recovery experience, which further increases service recovery satisfaction. Recovery satisfaction can thus affect future intention toward using mobile banking. The moderating effect of transaction frequency was also confirmed. Theoretical and managerial implications are discussed
THE INFLUENCE OF ARCH SUPPORT INSOLE ON BASKETBALL JUMP SHOT
The purpose of this investigation was to examine the effects of arch support insole on jump shot scored percentage and kinetics. Eleven females Division I basketball participated in this study. They performed the jump shots until 5 shots were scored in arch support insoles and flat insoles. Kinematic data were collected with a motion analysis system (Motion Analysis Corporation, Santa Rosa, CA, USA) at 200-Hz sampling rate. Kinetic data were collected with two AMTl force platforms (AMTI Inc., Watertown, MA, USA) at 2000-Hz sampling rate. Non-parametric Wilcoxon signed-rank test was used to compare differences between arch support insole and flat insole on variables. No difference was found on jump shot scored percentage, jump height, peak ground reaction force, time to peak force and rate of force development. Wearing arch supporting insole did not influence the jump shot scored percentage and kinetics during jump shot
EFFECT OF ARCH SUPPORT FOOT ORTHOSIS ON LOWER WTREMIN LOADING AND KINEMATICS DURING THE REBOUND
The purpose of this study was to determine whether arch support foot orthosis was capable of altering lower extremity loading and kinematics during the rebound. Nineteen female Division I basketball players participated in this study. Utilizing a repeated measures design, participants completed two rebound tasks with and without the arch support foot orthosis. Results showed that the selected arch support foot orthosis significantly decreased the peak impact force, knee internal rotation and foot inversion angle at the initial contact of the ground compared to those of the flat insole. It suggested that the use of the arch support foot orthosis can decrease the lower extremity loading and further decrease the risk of ACL injury in female basketball players
Domain-Generalized Face Anti-Spoofing with Unknown Attacks
Although face anti-spoofing (FAS) methods have achieved remarkable
performance on specific domains or attack types, few studies have focused on
the simultaneous presence of domain changes and unknown attacks, which is
closer to real application scenarios. To handle domain-generalized unknown
attacks, we introduce a new method, DGUA-FAS, which consists of a
Transformer-based feature extractor and a synthetic unknown attack sample
generator (SUASG). The SUASG network simulates unknown attack samples to assist
the training of the feature extractor. Experimental results show that our
method achieves superior performance on domain generalization FAS with known or

Dyson-Schwinger Equation and Quantum Phase Transitions in Massless QCD
We study the stability of the highest symmetric solution (Wigner-solution) of
Dyson-Schwinger equations in chiral limit and at zero temperature. Our results
confirm that if the chemical potential is not very large, the QCD vacuum is in
the chiral symmetry breaking phase and the quantum phase-transition of the
chiral symmetry restoration is in first order. Meanwhile it seems that there is
not competition between chiral symmetry breaking phase and color
superconductivity phase since the color superconductivity phase appears only if
the chemical potential is very large. Moreover, we propose that chiral symmetry
breaking arises from the positive feedback with respect to the mass
