Late-Onset Screw Migration into Iliac Vessels 21 years after Hip Arthrodesis
Iatrogenic injuries to the vascular system are a rare but serious complication of hip surgery. We report a case of an 83-year-old man who presented with intrapelvic migration of a screw into the space between the external iliac artery and vein 21 years after hip arthrodesis. The patient was treated with laparotomy, and the damaged artery was excised and sutured. This is the first case of a late vascular complication secondary to screw migration after hip arthrodesis

Arthroscopic Management for Acetabular Rim Stress Fracture and Osteochondritis Dissecans in the Athlete With Hip Dysplasia
Intra-articular lesions are common in patients with acetabular hip dysplasia. Rim stress fractures (RSFs) have also been described in patients with acetabular hip dysplasia. This lesion is believed to be a result of an unfused secondary ossification center or a stress fracture that could be caused by repetitive impingement of an abnormal-shaped femoral head-neck junction. In addition, osteochondritis dissecans of the acetabulum is a rare condition that can also result from impingement and has been described in patients with hip dysplasia. Arthroscopic Shoelace Capsular Closure Technique in the Hip Using Ultratape
Hip arthroscopy is promising tool for assessing and treating intra-articular pathologies including labral tears, cartilage injuries, and ligamentum teres tears of the hip. Interportal capsulotomy allows for better visualization and accessibility of the arthroscope and working instruments. The hip capsule has been defined as a crucial stabilizer of the hip joint. Thus, capsular closure is recognized as an important procedure to prevent postoperative instability after hip arthroscopic surgery. Despite the routine capsular closure during hip arthroscopy, there is a small subset of patients who complain of hip pain and dysfunction after surgery most likely because of disruption of hip closure site after routine complete capsular closure with strong suture for treating hip instability.This technical note describes the arthroscopic shoelace capsular suture technique using Ultratape for treating femoroacetabular impingement with capsular laxity and borderline hip dysplasia
