    Get PDF
This study, using 3D measurements, aims to develop a neck model for a particular market segment in China- male professionals age 25-30, whose work and lifestyles make them vulnerable to neck morphological tensions and changes (Fox news., 2014). Therefore, there are two objectives for this study: 1) to investigate the characterization of Chinese male professionals’ neck by using 3D neck measurements; and 2) to build a 3D neck model that can provide a theoretical reference for an optimal neckline design from an ergonomic point of view

PurposeTo identify the clinicopathological features, treatment, and prognosis of patients with breast cancer, who were diagnosed during and after pregnancy.MethodsWe searched for patients with pregnancy-associated breast cancer (PABC) using the big data query and analysis system of Peking Union Medical College Hospital from between January 1, 2013, and December 31, 2021, and matched each patient with two non-PABC patients by age at diagnosis, year at diagnosis, and tumor stage. The clinicopathologic features, treatment, and outcomes of breast cancer during pregnancy (BC-P) and breast cancer during the first-year post-partum (BC-PP) were examined retrospectively in two case-control studies.ResultsEighteen BC-P cases, 36 controls for BC-P cases, 62 BC-PP cases, and 124 controls for BC-PP cases were enrolled in our study. The expression of HER-2 and Ki-67 was higher in BC-PP cases than in its controls (P=0.01, 0.018, respectively). Patients with BC-PP were more likely to choose mastectomy than breast-conserving surgery (P=0.001). There were no significant differences in event-free survival (EFS) between patients with BC-P and BC-PP and their controls.ConclusionBC-P and BC-PP patients displayed adverse clinicopathological features in our population. However, when matched by age at diagnosis, year of diagnosis, and tumor stage, BC-P and BC-PP patients did not show inferior outcomes to controls, probably due to aggressive multimodality therapy

IntroductionHarmful algal blooms (HABs) have been increasing in frequency and expanding their ranges on coastlines worldwide in recent decades. Algicidal bacteria play a pivotal role in eliminating HABs, yet the characteristics of bacterial communities and their algicidal activity during a Karenia longicanalis bloom remain poorly understood.MethodsIn this study, we investigated bacterial communities using 16S rRNA sequencing during a K. longicanalis bloom to identify bacteria with high algicidal activity that could be isolated. Five sampling sites in Tongxin Bay, located in Lianjiang County, China, including TX1 to TX5, were selected based on the concentration of K. longicanalis cells.ResultsOur 16S rRNA sequencing results revealed that the TX4 site was enriched with genera known to contain algicidal bacteria, such as Pseudoalteromonas and Alteromonas, which are members of the Gammaproteobacteria class, while Sulfitobacter, a member of the Alphaproteobacteria class, was enriched in the TX5 site. Among the 100 cultivable bacteria isolated from the 5 sampling sites, 6 exhibited an algicidal rate of over 80%, with FDHY-MQ5, isolated from the TX4 site, exhibiting an algicidal rate of approximately 100% against Karenia mikimotoi after 48 hours of challenge with 2% (v/v) bacterial volume (OD600=4.5) concentration. Our 16S rRNA sequencing result showed FDHY-MQ5 was a member of the Pseudoalteromonas genus, and this bacterium also demonstrated high algicidal activity against Heterosigma akashiwo and Alexandrium tamarense.DiscussionOur findings shed light on the changes in bacterial community structure and the algicidal behavior of bacteria towards algae during a K. longicanalis bloom, providing a research basis for a better understanding of HAB management

IntroductionBreast cancer is the most prevalent malignancy in patients with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). However, vaccination data of this population are limited.MethodsA cross-sectional study of COVID-19 vaccination was conducted in China. Multivariate logistic regression models were used to assess factors associated with COVID-19 vaccination status.ResultsOf 2,904 participants, 50.2% were vaccinated with acceptable side effects. Most of the participants received inactivated virus vaccines. The most common reason for vaccination was “fear of infection” (56.2%) and “workplace/government requirement” (33.1%). While the most common reason for nonvaccination was “worry that vaccines cause breast cancer progression or interfere with treatment” (72.9%) and “have concerns about side effects or safety” (39.6%). Patients who were employed (odds ratio, OR = 1.783, p = 0.015), had stage I disease at diagnosis (OR = 2.008, p = 0.019), thought vaccines could provide protection (OR = 1.774, p = 0.007), thought COVID-19 vaccines were safe, very safe, not safe, and very unsafe (OR = 2.074, p < 0.001; OR = 4.251, p < 0.001; OR = 2.075, p = 0.011; OR = 5.609, p = 0.003, respectively) were more likely to receive vaccination. Patients who were 1–3 years, 3–5 years, and more than 5 years after surgery (OR = 0.277, p < 0.001; OR = 0.277, p < 0.001, OR = 0.282, p < 0.001, respectively), had a history of food or drug allergies (OR = 0.579, p = 0.001), had recently undergone endocrine therapy (OR = 0.531, p < 0.001) were less likely to receive vaccination.ConclusionCOVID-19 vaccination gap exists in breast cancer survivors, which could be filled by raising awareness and increasing confidence in vaccine safety during cancer treatment, particularly for the unemployed individuals

Human language is the most important way to exchange the ideas, important means to express human feelings. Singing can be considered a special language of expression. The art of vocal music only use language and music combined together in order to express thoughts and feelings, to shape the artistic image in a form of vocal sounds and music. From the perspective of music, it is a mean to convey thoughts and feelings by combining language in songs, it is a comprehensive form of an art image. The singing voice is probably the most versatile musical instrument of all and the oldest musical instrument of our species. The \"vocal\" is sound and music. In addition to the science of singing, singing is also full of emotions, and of course, the person's voice is indispensable to sing a song. Operating the oral cavity is the cause of the changes of sounds, the resonance, and the singing language. Good singing habits are the foundation of a perfect singing. Long, uninterrupted training, long-term development of singing skills is the way to productive learning. Good speech habits, including correct pronunciation, controllable speed, rich feelings, bright sounds, ability to impress the audience, and the good habit of breathing correctly are also very important. Developing the habit of singing is a gradual, continuous accumulation process. Research questions: what problems of solo singing are identified by professional singers in making vocal adjustments? What skills of solo singing Lithuanian and Chinese students have, and how those solo singing skills can be improved? The object of the research - the development of solo singing skills. The aim of the research - to reveal the features of the solo singing skills’ development of Lithuanian and Chinese students at university. The objectives of the research: 1. To reveal the theoretical analysis of solo singing skills in scientific literature and educational documentation. 2. To describe students’ attitudes to the development of singing skills. 3. To investigate music teachers’ attitudes to development of singing skills. The method of the research: analysis of scientific and methodological literature; students’ survey, using the focus group, the written questionnaire method; music teachers’ survey, using the written questionnaire method; quantitative and qualitative analysis of the data (content analysis). CONCLUSIONS 1. Through the access to the scientific and educational literature it can be clearly seen that first of all it is important to establish the correct concept of singing, instead of simply imitate others. Breathing, biting, mobilizing various parts of the respiratory system within the body and controlling the body itself can give the way to a quality singing. The process of singing requires to feel the changes of the body, the changes in breathing, the changes in the mouth’s shape, throat muscles relaxation and tension. Understanding the structure of the song itself and understanding its rhythm are also crucial. Another principal key of successful performance is to always adjust the breathing, not to be nervous and clearly sing the lyrics. The process of singing also demands singers to adjust their mental state in order to preserve confidence, to believe they can convey the contents of a song to the audience. 2. During the research about the development of individual singing skills, every student had a different view when it came to vocal music. Statistical data show that some students think they need to focus only on one language (usually their native language) when singing, to ensure that practicing a lot is good enough to clearly pronounce the lyrics of a song. Of course, some students feel differently and believe they should sing in many different languages as possible in order to make their singing richer, I personally agree with this point of view. That is why I chose to come here and learn bel canto. When it comes to developing individual singing skills, most of the exchange students share the same or similar point of view. The only thing that students need is to put more effort in practising, also if possible they should spend more time organizing activities related to vocal music, so that every student could have a chance to get exercise in their free time. 3. By investigating the development of skills of future music teachers I found that a lot of things need to be prepared in order for the future teachers to be able to successfully teach students. Teachers are like students, they both really enjoy singing. Even if they are learning to sing, to improve skills without planning to pursue a career in singing. Students must understand the different musical styles, and as much as possible try singing different styles and songs of different countries. During the development of singing skills, accompaniment is essential, and it is crucial to learn the piano accompaniment, in order to improve singing. Learning does not have to be limited only to the teaching in a classroom. Practicing singing skills is the most important task; however, it is also important to participate in more musical activities. Students should not blindly imitate other singers, teachers or students, instead they should try to be different and original. While singing any song of any language, a singer should strive to express it clearly, regardless of the length of the song. According to various students when developing a teaching plan, they find it important to offer the students more communication, and try to understand their ideas, and to pass on their high quality singing skills. As a teacher, it is important to have confidence, that way the students can be confident as well. In addition, confidence is a very important part of successful singing.Žmogaus balsas yra turbūt pats visapusiškiausias ir seniausias muzikinis instrumentas.

    Get PDF
Long-distance running is an advantage of Chinese sports, but compared with the world level, there is still a big gap. Therefore, an advanced long-distance running training system is urgently needed to scientifically train our long-distance runners to change this situation. The purpose of this article is to study the long-distance running training system under inertial sensor network. According to the actual situation at home and abroad, a human gait analysis system based on inertial sensors is designed. Gait parameters are transformed into clinical medicine through related algorithms and software platforms. Experimental results show that although the step length calculated by the gait analysis system is different from the actual step length, the error value is small, kept below 3 cm, and the error percentage is less than 2%, which meets the accuracy requirements of gait analysis. This fully proves the feasibility of the zero-speed correction method in gait analysis
