Absolute continuity of symmetric Markov processes
We study Girsanov's theorem in the context of symmetric Markov processes,
extending earlier work of Fukushima-Takeda and Fitzsimmons on Girsanov
transformations of ``gradient type.'' We investigate the most general Girsanov
transformation leading to another symmetric Markov process. This investigation
requires an extension of the forward-backward martingale method of Lyons-Zheng,

The effects of ocular and lens parameters on the postlens tear thickness.
PURPOSE:To assess the effects of soft contact lens base curve radius (BCR), sex, ethnicity, central corneal curvatures, and vertical palpebral aperture size (PAS) on the postlens tear thickness (PLTT). METHODS:The PLTT was measured using optical pachometry on 114 experienced lens wearers who were fitted with lathe-cut soft lenses (Alden 47, polymacon, 35.5% H2O, -2.00 diopter, and 14.0 mm). Each subject was randomly allocated to one lens group receiving a BCR of 7.9, 8.3, or 8.7 mm. Pachometry measurements were taken at 30 min after lens insertion. Vertical PAS and keratometry readings were measured for 94 of the 114 subjects. RESULTS:The mean (95% confidence interval) PLTT was 15.7 microm (13.2-18.0 microm), 12.8 microm (10.9-14.7 microm), and 12.1 microm (10.2-14.0 microm) for the 7.9-mm, 8.3-mm, and 8.7-mm BCR groups, respectively. The differences in PLTT among the three BCR groups was significant (analysis of variance F-test; P=0.039). Post hoc testing using the Tukey honestly significant difference statistic showed that only the two extreme BCR groups (7.9 mm and 8.7 mm) were significantly different. Sex had no effect on the PLTT; however, the PLTT was significantly thinner for the Asian compared with non-Asian eyes (P=0.0001). The Asian PLTT did not vary with different soft lens BCRs. The non-Asian PLTT was thicker with lenses of the steep BCR compared with the flat BCR. CONCLUSION:These results show that the base curve radius of a soft contact lens and several ocular characteristics can affect the thickness of the postlens tear film
Quantum transport through a double Aharonov-Bohm-interferometer in the presence of Andreev reflection
Quantum transport through a double Aharonov-Bohm-interferometer in the
presence of Andreev reflection is investigated in terms of the nonequilibrium
Green function method with which the reflection current is obtained. Tunable
Andreev reflection probabilities depending on the interdot coupling strength
and magnetic flux as well are analysised in detail. It is found that the
oscillation period of the reflection probability with respect to the magnetic
flux for the double interferometer depends linearly on the ratio of two parts
magnetic fluxes n, i.e. 2(n+1)pi, while that of a single interferometer is 2pi.
The coupling strength not only affects the height and the linewidth of Andreev
reflection current peaks vs gate votage but also shifts the peak positions. It
is furthermore demonstrated that the Andreev reflection current peaks can be
tuned by the magnetic fluxes.Comment: 13 pages, 12 figur
In Situ Structure Characterization in Slot-Die-Printed All-Polymer Solar Cells with Efficiency Over 9%
Herein, high-performance printed all-polymer solar cells (all-PSCs) based on a bulk-heterojunction (BHJ) blend film are demonstrated using PTzBI as the donor and N2200 as the acceptor. A slot-die process is used to prepare the BHJ blend, which is a cost-effective, high-throughput approach to achieve large-area photovoltaic devices. The real-time crystallization of polymers in the film drying process is investigated by in situ grazing incidence wide-angle X-ray scattering characterization. Printing is found to significantly improve the crystallinity of the polymer blend in comparison with spin coating. Moreover, printing with 1,8-diiodooctane as the solvent additive enhances the polymer aggregation and crystallization during solvent evaporation, eventually leading to multi-length-scale phase separation, with PTzBI-rich domains in-between the N2200 crystalline fibers. This unique morphology achieved by printing fabrication results in an impressively high power conversion efficiency of 9.10%, which is the highest efficiency reported for printed all-PSCs. These findings provide important guidelines for controlling film drying dynamics for processing all-PSCs
