    The fact that is found sometimes still far from expectations, such as those foundin SMAN 10 Pekanbaru, there are many teachers who teach sociology using the lecture method,as I observed, it turns out the lecture method is less attractive and less arouse students' interestand activity. One method that can be used to increase student activity is a discussion group.Seeing realities encountered in the classroom, then I found the student activity in SMAN 10Pekanbaru in Sociology learning is still lacking. Desired activity is activity as expressed by PaulD.Dierich in Oemar Hamalik (2001: 173), which suggests that this type of activity in oral or oralactivity is put forward a fact or principle, linking an event, ask questions, give advice, expressopinions , interviews, and discussions.For it is necessary to change the model of learning to the learning objectives can be achievedand the attitudes and interests of students also changed as indicated by increasing student learningactivities with creative thinking in the learning process. Seeing the students' abilities andcircumstances of the class, so I tried to use a learning model with jigsaw cooperative learningmodel.In the discussion section can disimpulkann that students' motivation through the use ofcooperative learning model increased to 77.57%, while answering and responding to be 95.68%.Indicators of the presence of the third cycle changes are more interested and enthusiastic studentsto attend the lessons. It can be concluded that, participation from students who performed in thethird cycle has increased in all indicators

    Abstrack: This study aims to determine the percentage of the national exam physics category Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) and know the high-level thinking skills of students in completing the national exam Physics. The method used in this research is descriptive with the type of content or document analysis. The subject of this research is a class XII student with the number 129. The data obtained in this study a matter of Physics 2016 percentage categorized HOTS are analyzed using indicators about by A. Thomas and G. Thorne as well as data analysis of high-level thinking skills of students in the national exam physics obtained through answer students' work on the problems. Based on data analysis can be concluded that the national exam physics is capable of measuring high-level thinking skills of students on average are less well categorized

    This research aimed to know difference of the students motivation science learning by application of learning by science integration and religion approach to increase students motivation physics learning on force and acceleration lesson. This type of research is quasi experimental, with the nonequivalent control group design. The subject of this ini research is students class VIII at SMPN 5 Pekanbaru, total of 60 students as divide into two class, experimental class and control class. The instrument of data in this research is questionare motivation ARCS, consist of Attention, Relevance, Confidance dan Satisfaction. The data in this research is a score of motivation before and after learning physics by implementation science integration approach and religion and analysis of the data uses descriptive analysis. Then, measured the improvement of the students motivation by Independent Sampel T Test. Score motivation of students at experimental class in high category with average score motivation changing is 13,66%, and the control class in the high category with average score motivation changing is 4,22%. Therefore, it can be concluded that by using science integration and religion approach able to improve students motivation physics learning

    Study of Prediction Simulation Life Storage to Determine the Quality of Mangosteen (Garcinia Mangostana L.)

    Demand for mangosteen fruits (Garciana mangostana L) is currently increasing both for local and export markets. Quality of mangosteen fruit has been kept until now, even increased by efforts of post-harvest handling. The problem on postharvest of mangosteen is mainly on storage process. The quality of mangosteen is affected by the temperature condition during storage period. Waxing is usually used for fruits to extend their shelf life. In this study, combination of waxing and low temperature storage were studied to obtain the optimum storage condition for mangosteen. The objectives of this study were to determine the effect of combination of waxing and low temperature storage on the quality changes of mangosteen. It was shown that storage of mangosteen with waxing treatment of 5% and temperature storage of 8oC resulted the longest period of storage, i.e., 39 days. At this condition, the firmness was 2.00 kgf, total soluble solid was 16.10oBrix, and respiration rate of CO2 was 1.67ml/kg hr. In this study, prediction of storage life of mangosteen was carried out based on the firmness which accepted by panelist from organoleptic test. It is shown that waxing concentration 0% and temperature storage 8oC effectiveness to storage life until 16 days

    Implementasi Pembelajaran Hands on Activities Untuk Meningkatkan Sikap Terhadap Sains Pada Siswa SMP

    Abstrack : This research aims to determine the increase attitudes toward science of students in physic learning by the implementation of hands on activities in class VIII SMPN 20 Pekanbaru. The subjects are students of class VIII3. This class has fewer than 39 students. The data collection instrument in this study is questionnaire of attitudes towards science which consists of 37 statements. Analysis of the data in this study is a descriptive analysis using the gain (increase). If G > 0.3, so the attitude towards science of student is increase by the implementation of hands on activities. The results of all indicators showed: Gain student's attitudes toward science for indicator fun science is 0.09 with a low category, classroom or teacher is 0.08 with a lower category, self directed efforts is 0.14 with a low category, anxiety toward science is 0.16 with a lower category, family model is 0.15 with a low category. So that the average gain attitudes toward science of students in the amount is 0.12 to a low category. Application of hands on activities of material pressure have a low gain to improve attitude science of students in class VIII3 SMPN 20 Pekanbaru

    This study aims to determine the effect of learning inquiry trainingmodel on simple harmonic motion lessons to the students' science process skills ingrade X SMA Negeri 1 Tualang. The type of this study was quasi experiment with IntactGroup Comparison design and involved 1 control class and 1 experimental classconsisting of 68 students. The instrument used in this research is a science skill testconsisting of 18 validated description questions. The result of the analysis shows thatthe six aspects of science process skill consist of observation skills, collecting andprocessing the data, planning the experiment / research, formulating and testing thehypothesis, formulating the explanation and drawing conclusions in the experimentalclass with the treatment using inquiry training model higher than the control classUsing conventional models. Based on the data analysis and discussion it can beconcluded that the inquiry training model positively influences the science process skillson simple harmonic motion lessons

    Pengembangan Perangkat Eksperimen Modulus Puntir untuk Pembelajaran Fisika SMA

    The purpose of this research was to develop are equipment of modulus twist experiment as physics teaching and learning media, resulting in a reliable and valid device used as a media of instruction. The subject of this research was an experiment equipment consist of experiment tool and guided. Data was collected by using assessment sheets of validation that has been given to validators, in which 3 validators were lecturers as expert and 2 validators were physics teachers. The data was analyzed descriptively to find index of validity of experiment equipment. Based on the data analysis we have been concluded that an experiment equipment of modulus twist as the media in learning physics at SMA can be said valid with the very high category and feasible to be done trial at school

    Analisis Miskonsepsi Siswa Dalam Pembelajaran Fisika Materi Fluida Statis Menggunakan Metode Certain of Response Index (Cri) Di Sman 7 Pekanbaru

    This study aims to determine the misconception experienced by students in physics learning on static fluid material using Certain of Response Index (CRI) method at SMAN 7 Pekanbaru. This research was conducted from March to July 2017 with the subject of research is all students of class X in SMAN 7 Pekanbaru as many as 106 students. The type of research conducted is survey research. In this study, the data obtained were primary data and the instruments used to measure student misconceptions on static fluid materials were misconception tests. This misconception test consists of 20 items of multiple choice and is accompanied by CRI columns for each answer. CRI value shows the level of confidence of students in answering questions. The data have been analyzed descriptively. Based on the data analysis, it was found that the mean misconception of students on static fluid material was 42%, with misconceptions on each of the static fluid submissions such as hydrostatic pressure, Pascal\u27s law, Archimedes law and surface tension, respectively: 41% 42%, 46% and 38%. Thus it can be concluded that the misconception experienced by the students of class X of SMAN 7 Pekanbaru on static fluid material is still quite high and the highest percentage of student misconception is found in the submateri Archimedes law

    Abstrack: This research aims to determine the national exam HOTS science physics and HOTS students of SMP N 1 Salo in completing the national exam science physics. This type of research is descriptive research, content analysis or document type. The research subjects are students of class IX SMP N 1 Salo, namely class IXA - IXF amount of 139 students. The data in this study a matter of HOTS percentage in the national exam in 2014, 2015 and 2016, subsequently measured absorption students work on the problems that have category HOTS in the national examinations in 2016 were analyzed descriptively. Based on data analysis were categorized HOTS matter in the national exam in 2016, 2015 and 2014 respectively 8.7%, 11.7%, and 0%. Absorptive capacity of students in work on the problems that have category HOTS on the national exam in 2016 with a percentage of 20.1%. It can be concluded that the category HOTS matter on the national exam science physics is still very low and HOTS students in completing the national exam science physics in 2016 is still low

    Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Teams Game Tournament (Tgt) Menggunakan Media Physics Circuit Untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Siswa Di SMPN 34 Pekanbaru

    This research is aimed to describe and find out the improvement of the learning outcomes of students by applying cooperative learning model type TGT using media physics circuit in the main optical subject. The design of this research was a pre-experimental with intact-group comparison design. This research subjects were students of VIII class at SMPN 34 Pekanbaru it consists of 80 students, divided into class is experimental and control class. Data collection instruments in this research was test cognitif of learning outcomes to be evaluation in the end of meeting with consists of 20 cognitif questions. The analysis of the data uses descriptive analysis using criteria average of absorption students after applying cooperative learning model type TGT using media physics circuit in the main optical subject. The finding of the analysis of the data indicated that average of absorption students in the experimental class is 82,75% with good category and in the control class is 75,13% with good category. Therefore, it can be concluded that the application of cooperative learning model type TGT using media physics circuit can improve learning outcomes students in the optical subject at VIII4 class of SMPN 34 Pekanbaru
