In the framework of chiral quark model, the mass spectrum of ηc(ns)(n=1,...,6)\eta_c(ns) (n=1,...,6) is studied with Gaussian expansion method. With the wave functions obtained in the study of mass spectrum, the open flavor two-body strong decay widths are calculated by using 3P0^3P_0 model. The results show that the masses of ηc(1S)\eta_c(1S) and ηc(2S)\eta_c(2S) are consistent with the experimental data. The explanation of X(3940) as ηc(3S)\eta_c(3S) is disfavored for X(3940) is a narrow state, Γ=37−15+26±8\Gamma=37^{+26}_{-15} \pm 8 MeV, while the open flavor two-body strong decay width of ηc(3S)\eta_c(3S) is about 200 MeV in our calculation. Although the mass of X(4160) is about 100 MeV less than that of ηc(4S)\eta_c(4S), the assignment of X(4160) as ηc(4S)\eta_c(4S) can not be excluded because the open flavor two-body strong decay width of ηc(4S)\eta_c(4S) is consistent with the experimental value of X(4160) and the branching ratios of ηc(4S)\eta_c(4S) are compatible with that of X(4160), and the mass of ηc(4S)\eta_c(4S) can be shifted downwards by taking into account the coupling effect of the open charm channels. There are still no good candidates to ηc(5S)\eta_c(5S) and ηc(6S)\eta_c(6S).Comment: 5 page

BACKGROUND: Ageing is a major risk factor for Alzheimer's disease (AD), which is accompanied by cellular senescence and thousands of transcriptional changes in the brain. OBJECTIVES: To identify the biomarkers in the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) that could help differentiate healthy ageing from neurodegenerative processes. METHODS: Cellular senescence and ageing-related biomarkers were assessed in primary astrocytes and postmortem brains by immunoblotting and immunohistochemistry. The biomarkers were measured in CSF samples from the China Ageing and Neurodegenerative Disorder Initiative cohort using Elisa and the multiplex Luminex platform. RESULTS: The cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitors p16/p21-positive senescent cells in human postmortem brains were predominantly astrocytes and oligodendrocyte lineage cells, which accumulated in AD brains. CCL2, YKL-40, HGF, MIF, S100B, TSP2, LCN2 and serpinA3 are biomarkers closely related to human glial senescence. Moreover, we discovered that most of these molecules, which were upregulated in senescent glial cells, were significantly elevated in the AD brain. Notably, CSF YKL-40 (β=0.5412, p<0.0001) levels were markedly elevated with age in healthy older individuals, whereas HGF (β=0.2732, p=0.0001), MIF (β=0.33714, p=0.0017) and TSP2 (β=0.1996, p=0.0297) levels were more susceptible to age in older individuals with AD pathology. We revealed that YKL-40, TSP2 and serpinA3 were useful biomarkers for discriminating patients with AD from CN individuals and non-AD patients. DISCUSSION: Our findings demonstrated the different patterns of CSF biomarkers related to senescent glial cells between normal ageing and AD, implicating these biomarkers could identify the road node in healthy path off to neurodegeneration and improve the accuracy of clinical AD diagnosis, which would help promote healthy ageing

S6K-STING interaction regulates cytosolic DNA-mediated activation of the transcription factor IRF3

Cytosolic DNA-mediated activation of the transcription factor IRF3 is a key event in host antiviral responses. Here we found that infection with DNA viruses induced interaction of the metabolic checkpoint kinase mTOR downstream effector and kinase S6K1 and the signaling adaptor STING in a manner dependent on the DNA sensor cGAS. We further demonstrated that the kinase domain, but not the kinase function, of S6K1 was required for the S6K1-STING interaction and that the TBK1 critically promoted this process. The formation of a tripartite S6K1-STING-TBK1 complex was necessary for the activation of IRF3, and disruption of this signaling axis impaired the early-phase expression of IRF3 target genes and the induction of T cell responses and mucosal antiviral immunity. Thus, our results have uncovered a fundamental regulatory mechanism for the activation of IRF3 in the cytosolic DNA pathway

We measure the branching fractions for seven Ds+D_{s}^{+} two-body decays to pseudo-scalar mesons, by analyzing data collected at s=4.178∼4.226\sqrt{s}=4.178\sim4.226 GeV with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider. The branching fractions are determined to be B(Ds+→K+η′)=(2.68±0.17±0.17±0.08)×10−3\mathcal{B}(D_s^+\to K^+\eta^{\prime})=(2.68\pm0.17\pm0.17\pm0.08)\times10^{-3}, B(Ds+→η′π+)=(37.8±0.4±2.1±1.2)×10−3\mathcal{B}(D_s^+\to\eta^{\prime}\pi^+)=(37.8\pm0.4\pm2.1\pm1.2)\times10^{-3}, B(Ds+→K+η)=(1.62±0.10±0.03±0.05)×10−3\mathcal{B}(D_s^+\to K^+\eta)=(1.62\pm0.10\pm0.03\pm0.05)\times10^{-3}, B(Ds+→ηπ+)=(17.41±0.18±0.27±0.54)×10−3\mathcal{B}(D_s^+\to\eta\pi^+)=(17.41\pm0.18\pm0.27\pm0.54)\times10^{-3}, B(Ds+→K+KS0)=(15.02±0.10±0.27±0.47)×10−3\mathcal{B}(D_s^+\to K^+K_S^0)=(15.02\pm0.10\pm0.27\pm0.47)\times10^{-3}, B(Ds+→KS0π+)=(1.109±0.034±0.023±0.035)×10−3\mathcal{B}(D_s^+\to K_S^0\pi^+)=(1.109\pm0.034\pm0.023\pm0.035)\times10^{-3}, B(Ds+→K+π0)=(0.748±0.049±0.018±0.023)×10−3\mathcal{B}(D_s^+\to K^+\pi^0)=(0.748\pm0.049\pm0.018\pm0.023)\times10^{-3}, where the first uncertainties are statistical, the second are systematic, and the third are from external input branching fraction of the normalization mode Ds+→K+K−π+D_s^+\to K^+K^-\pi^+. Precision of our measurements is significantly improved compared with that of the current world average values

Electrothermal characteristics play a crucial role in ladle furnaces that utilize electric energy for heating purposes. In this paper, a three-dimensional electrothermal power calculation model of ladle furnace is established based on electromagnetism, the influence of thickness and relative foaming height of refining slag on electrothermal characteristics was studied, and the electrical conductivity of refining slag was measured using AC impedance method. The study revealed that the electrical conductivity of the primary slag and final slag is 101 S/m and 92 S/m respectively at 1575 °C. During energization and heating, the current is mainly conducted through electrodes, arcs, and molten steel, the three-phase current is finally connected in the molten steel near the interface between slag and molten steel, and a small amount of current is connected through refining slag. The electrothermal power of the arc accounts for the largest proportion of the total electrothermal power, reaching 96.8%, while the electrothermal power of the molten steel is the smallest. When the thickness of the refining slag increases from 0 mm to 150 mm, the electrothermal power of the refining slag increases from 0 kW to 759.7 kW, while the electrothermal power of the molten steel and arc decrease from 60.9 kW, 18783.5 kW to 44.3 kW and 17440.2 kW, respectively. When the relative foaming height increases from 0 to 150%, the electrothermal power of refining slag increases from 412.4 kW to 449.6 kW, and the electrothermal power of molten steel and arc decreases from 54.1 kW, 18172.1 kW to 51.1 kW and 17194.3 kW, respectively

AIE-YOLO: Auxiliary Information Enhanced YOLO for Small Object Detection

    No full text
Small object detection is one of the key challenges in the current computer vision field due to the low amount of information carried and the information loss caused by feature extraction. You Only Look Once v5 (YOLOv5) adopts the Path Aggregation Network to alleviate the problem of information loss, but it cannot restore the information that has been lost. To this end, an auxiliary information-enhanced YOLO is proposed to improve the sensitivity and detection performance of YOLOv5 to small objects. Firstly, a context enhancement module containing a receptive field size of 21×21 is proposed, which captures the global and local information of the image by fusing multi-scale receptive fields, and introduces an attention branch to enhance the expressive ability of key features and suppress background noise. To further enhance the feature expression ability of small objects, we introduce the high- and low-frequency information decomposed by wavelet transform into PANet to participate in multi-scale feature fusion, so as to solve the problem that the features of small objects gradually disappear after multiple downsampling and pooling operations. Experiments on the challenging dataset Tsinghua–Tencent 100 K show that the mean average precision of the proposed model is 9.5% higher than that of the original YOLOv5 while maintaining the real-time speed, which is better than the mainstream object detection models

    No full text
Background: SQSTM1/p62 is an autophagy-related receptor protein that participates in regulating tumorigenesis and multiple signaling pathways. Gastric cancer (GC) is a common tumor in the digestive tract and continues to pose a significant threat to human health. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the impact of p62 on gastric cancer. Methods: Immunohistochemistry and Western blotting were employed to assess the expression level of the p62 protein in gastric cancer tissues and its correlation with prognosis. Subsequently, in vitro cell experiments were conducted to determine the role of p62 in gastric cancer cell proliferation, migration, and metastasis. Result: The expression of p62 in gastric cancer tissues was significantly higher than in normal tissues. The expression of p62 was positively correlated with poor prognosis in gastric cancer patients. In vitro cell experiments indicated that p62 promotes gastric cancer cell proliferation and migration. Mechanistically, elevated p62 expression induced epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT), leading to upregulation of E-cadherin and downregulation of N-cadherin and vimentin. Conclusion: This study provides novel and robust evidence for the mechanism by which elevated p62 expression promotes the progression of gastric cancer. It offers promising therapeutic targets for anti-tumor treatment strategies in gastric cancer patients

Melatonin promotes gut anti-oxidative status in perinatal rat by remodeling the gut microbiome

    No full text
Gut health is important for nutrition absorption, reproduction, and lactation in perinatal and early weaned mammals. Although melatonin functions in maintaining circadian rhythms and preventing obesity, neurodegenerative diseases, and viral infections, its impact on the gut microbiome and its function in mediating gut health through gut microbiota remain largely unexplored. In the present study, the microbiome of rats was monitoring after fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) and foster care (FC). The results showed that FMT and FC increased intestinal villus height/crypt depth in perinatal rats. Mechanistically, the melatonin-mediated remodeling of gut microbiota inhibited oxidative stress, which led to attenuation of autophagy and inflammation. In addition, FMT and FC encouraged the growth of more beneficial intestinal bacteria, such as Allobaculum, Bifidobacterium, and Faecalibaculum, which produce more short-chain fatty acids to strengthen intestinal anti-oxidation. These findings suggest that melatonin-treated gut microbiota increase the production of SCFAs, which improve gut health by reducing oxidative stress, autophagy and inflammation. The transfer of melatonin-treated gut microbiota may be a new and effective method by which to ameliorate gut health in perinatal and weaned mammals
