    Mediating Role of Trust Brief in SMEs’ Strategic Choice of Cloud Service

    This study draws on organizational-environmental framework and trust research to investigate SMEs’ transformation toward cloud service. This study regards cloud service transformation as a strategic choice of SMEs and highlights organizations’ trust based rationality. This study develops a research model in which SMEs’ trust belief on cloud service mediates the effects of the organizational-environmental determinants on SMEs’ strategic choice. A survey involving 107 Chinese SMEs was conducted to validate the research model. The results from empirical data provide strong supports on the hypotheses. Theoretical and practical implications are discussed

    Determinants of SMEs’ Transformation Toward Cloud Services: Perspectives of Economic and Social Rationalities

    Cloud services represent a new paradigm that changes how organizations obtain advanced information technology capability. Cloud services have especially important implications for small and medium enterprises (SMEs). However, not all SMEs choose to transform toward cloud-based solutions. Accounting for both technical-economic rationality and trust-based rationality, we explore the determinants of cloud service transformation in the SME context. We conduct a survey involving 107 SMEs operating in China to examine the research model. The findings illustrate that 1) both trust and benefit have significant influences on SMEs’ transformation toward cloud services; 2) information security and social influence have positive influences, whereas vendor scarcity has a negative influence on SMEs’ trust in cloud services; and 3) uncertainty of service demands and information asymmetry between service clients and vendors significantly affect SMEs’ perception of cloud service benefits.     Wind Tunnel Tests on Aerodynamic Characteristics of Ice-Coated 4-Bundled Conductors

    Wind tunnel tests were carried out to obtain the static aerodynamic characteristics of crescent iced 4-bundled conductors with different ice thicknesses, initial ice accretion angles, bundle spaces, and wind attack angles. The test models were made of the actual conductors and have a real rough surface. Test results show that the influence of wake interference on the drag coefficients of leeward subconductors is obvious. The interference angle range is larger than 20° and the drag coefficient curves of leeward subconductors have a sudden decrease phenomenon at some certain wind attack angles. The absolute value of the lift and moment coefficient increases with the increase of the ice thickness. In addition, the galloping of the iced subconductor may occur at the angle of wind attack near ±20° and the wake increases the moment coefficient. The variation of initial ice accretion angle has a significant influence on the aerodynamic coefficients. The aerodynamic coefficient curves exhibit a “moving” phenomenon at different initial ice accretion angles. The bundle spaces have a great influence on the moment coefficient of leeward thin ice-coated conductors. With the increase of ice thickness, the bundle spaces generally have little influence on the aerodynamic coefficients

    Delisheng, a Chinese medicinal compound, exerts anti-proliferative and pro-apoptotic effects on HepG2 cells through extrinsic and intrinsic pathways

    The anti-proliferative, cytotoxic and apoptogenic activities of delisheng, a Chinese medicinal compound, has been investigated. In this study, the hepatocarcinoma cell line (HepG2) and the liver cell line (L-02) were exposed to delisheng (6.25, 50 and 100 Όl/ml). Delisheng suppressed the proliferation and viability of normal liver L-02 cells slightly, but strongly inhibited the proliferation and viability of hepatocarcinoma HepG2 cells. The flow cytometric analysis of HepG2 cells demonstrated that delisheng primarily arrested the HepG2 cells at the G1 phase of the cell cycle. Annexin V-FITC/PI staining corroborates the apoptogenic nature of delisheng on HepG2 cells. The anti-proliferative and pro-apoptotic effect of delisheng in HepG2 cells was associated with changes in the Bcl-2/Bax ratio and the induction of caspase-mediated apoptosis. Upregulation of DR5 expression was observed in HepG2 cells after treatment with delisheng. The findings from the present study suggest that delisheng has selective cytotoxic activities against HepG2 cells. Delisheng triggered time- and dose-dependent apoptosis in HepG2 cells by activating the mitochondria-mediated and death receptor-mediated apoptotic pathways

    The vessel wall is an intricate structure composed of three layers: the intima (consisting of endothelial cells), media (consisting of smooth muscle cells and elastic fibers), and externa (consisting of the extracellular matrix scaffold). The homeostasis of the vasculature depends on the consistent function of each layer. In the vascular system, potassium channels are well known to regulate vascular function. The interactions between vascular conditions and membrane potential are complicated. In this chapter, we will focus on the functional regulation of KCa channel, KATP channel, and KV channel in the vascular system. Researchers may continuously obtain insights into the functions of these channels and identify new therapeutic targets for vascular diseases

    Data Processing Pipeline for Pointing Observations of Lunar-based Ultraviolet Telescope

    We describe the data processing pipeline developed to reduce the pointing observation data of Lunar-based Ultraviolet Telescope (LUT), which belongs to the Chang'e-3 mission of the Chinese Lunar Exploration Program. The pointing observation program of LUT is dedicated to monitor variable objects in a near-ultraviolet (245-345 nm) band. LUT works in lunar daytime for sufficient power supply, so some special data processing strategies have been developed for the pipeline. The procedures of the pipeline include stray light removing, astrometry, flat fielding employing superflat technique, source extraction and cosmic rays rejection, aperture and PSF photometry, aperture correction, and catalogues archiving, etc. It has been intensively tested and works smoothly with observation data. The photometric accuracy is typically ~0.02 mag for LUT 10 mag stars (30 s exposure), with errors come from background noises, residuals of stray light removing, and flat fielding related errors. The accuracy degrades to be ~0.2 mag for stars of 13.5 mag which is the 5{\sigma} detection limit of LUT.Comment: 10 pages, 7 figures, 4 tables. Minor changes and some expounding words added.
