Assimilation, Dissimilation: An inclusive, participant based installation to express Toronto's collective memory
This thesis paper documents the process from ideation to materialization of making this inclusive, and participatory interactive installation at Union Station. This new social media installation intends to encourage participants to reflect and discuss collective memory of this multicultural nation by asking immigrants and/or their descendants “what has changed in you, living in Toronto?” Union Station, as a gateway and starting point for many immigrants arriving here, could entice them to reflect on their transition of moving form their home country to coming to this new environment. People from different
cultural backgrounds could express their experiences on being an insider or outsider of the mainstream society, by which people could raise self-awareness, understand each other and get connected

Autonomous Drone Racing: Time-Optimal Spatial Iterative Learning Control within a Virtual Tube
It is often necessary for drones to complete delivery, photography, and
rescue in the shortest time to increase efficiency. Many autonomous drone races
provide platforms to pursue algorithms to finish races as quickly as possible
for the above purpose. Unfortunately, existing methods often fail to keep
training and racing time short in drone racing competitions. This motivates us
to develop a high-efficient learning method by imitating the training
experience of top racing drivers. Unlike traditional iterative learning control
methods for accurate tracking, the proposed approach iteratively learns a
trajectory online to finish the race as quickly as possible. Simulations and
experiments using different models show that the proposed approach is
model-free and is able to achieve the optimal result with low computation
requirements. Furthermore, this approach surpasses some state-of-the-art
methods in racing time on a benchmark drone racing platform. An experiment on a
real quadcopter is also performed to demonstrate its effectiveness

In the title compound, [CdCl2(C18H14N4)2]·0.5H2O, the Cd atom assumes a distorted octahedral trans-CdCl2N4 geometry arising from its coordination by two N,N′-bidentate 10,11,12,13-tetrahydro-4,5,9,14-tetraazabenzo[b]triphenylene (TBBT) molecules and two chloride ions. In the crystal, π–π aromatic stacking interactions between adjacent TTBT rings are seen, with a centroid–centroid distance of 3.604 (3) Å. An O—H⋯Cl hydrogen bond between the half-occupied water molecule and one chloride ion also occurs
