Triple Products and Yang-Baxter Equation (II): Orthogonal and Symplectic Ternary Systems
We generalize the result of the preceeding paper and solve the Yang-Baxter
equation in terms of triple systems called orthogonal and symplectic ternary
systems. In this way, we found several other new solutions.Comment: 38 page
Monolithic cascade-type solar cells
Solar cells consist of a semiconductor base, a bottom cell with a band-gap energy of E1, and a top cell with a band-gap energy of E2, and 0.96 E1 1.36 eV and (0.80 E + 0.77) eV E2 (0.80 E1 + 0.92) eV. A monolithic cascade-type solar cell was prepared with an n(+)-type GaAs base, a GaInAs bottom solar cell, and a GaAiInAs top solar cell. The surface of the cell is coated with a SiO antireflection film. The efficiency of the cell is 32%
Hierarchical Mass Structure of Fermions in Warped Extra Dimension
The warped bulk standard model has been studied in the Randall-Sundrum
background on interval with the bulk gauge symmetry
. With the assumption of no
large cancellation between the fermion flavor mixing matrices, we present a
simple analytic method to determine the bulk masses of standard model fermions
in the almost universal bulk Yukawa coupling model. We also predict
element of MNS matrix to be near the experimental upper bound when the neutrino
masses are of Dirac type.Comment: 16 page
Inflation by non-minimal coupling
Inflationary scenarios based on simple non-minimal coupling and its
generalizations are studied. Generalizing the form of non-minimal coupling to
"K(phi)R" with an arbitrary function K(phi), we show that the flat potential
still is obtainable when V(phi)/K^2(phi) is asymptotically constant. Very
interestingly, if the ratio of the dimensionless self-coupling constant of the
inflaton field and the non-minimal coupling constant is small the cosmological
observables for general monomial cases are in good agreement with recent
observational data.Comment: 9 pages, 1 figur
Intersecting D-brane states derived from the KP theory
A general scheme to find tachyon boundary states is developed within the
framework of the theory of KP hierarchy. The method is applied to calculate
correlation function of intersecting D-branes and rederived the results of our
previous works as special examples. A matrix generalization of this scheme
provides a method to study dynamics of coincident multi D-branes.Comment: 10 page
Separability of a Low-Momentum Effective Nucleon-Nucleon Potential
A realistic nucleon-nucleon potential is transformed into a low-momentum
effective one (LMNN) using the Okubo theory. The separable potentials are
converted from the LMNN with a universal separable expansion method and a
simple Legendre expansion. Through the calculation of the triton binding
energies, the separability for the convergence of these ranks is evaluated. It
is found that there is a tendency for the lower momentum cutoff parameter
of LMNN to gain good separability.Comment: 6 pages, 1 tabl
