A group of 24 children abandoned at birth and brought up under very unsuitable circumstances is being studied in a long-term perspective. The preliminary results cover a period of two years. The initial and serious lack of mother-care and the resulting consequences are studied in connection with their intensity and lenghth, as well as the caracteristics of the institutional environment. The progression of the cases under study two years after the first assessment indicates a diversity of evolutions and shows serious mental and emotional disturbances in many of them.Un groupe de 24 enfants abandonnés à la naissance et élevés dans des conditions très défavorables est suivi dans une pesrpective longitudinale. Les premiers bilans couvrent une période de deux ans. Les effets de la grave carence initiale de soins maternels sont étudiés en fonction de son intensité et de sa durée, en référence aux données institutionnelles. Note presenting an investigation conducted to determine the effects of an aging treatment on the life of a small cast Vitallium gas-turbine blades operated at a blade temperature of approximately 1500 degrees Fahrenheit and a stress of 20,000 pounds per square inch at the blade-failure plane. Twenty blades that were aged for 48 hours at 1500 degrees Fahrenheit were compared with 33 unaged blades. Results regarding turbine evaluation and metallurgical examination are provided

Effects of some solution treatments followed by an aging treatment on the life of small cast gas-turbine blades of a cobalt-chromium-base alloy.

The experimental results indicated that all treatments lengthened the time to initial failure and improved the mean life of the blades.
