Top quark spin and HtbHtb interaction in charged Higgs and top quark associated production at LHC

We study the charged Higgs production at LHC via its associated production with top quark. The kinematic cuts are optimized to suppress the background processes so that the reconstruction of the charged Higgs and top quark is possible. The angular distributions with respect to top quark spin are explored to study the HtbHtb interaction at LHC.Comment: 10 pages,5 figures, to appear in PR

Pose-Guided Multi-Granularity Attention Network for Text-Based Person Search

Text-based person search aims to retrieve the corresponding person images in an image database by virtue of a describing sentence about the person, which poses great potential for various applications such as video surveillance. Extracting visual contents corresponding to the human description is the key to this cross-modal matching problem. Moreover, correlated images and descriptions involve different granularities of semantic relevance, which is usually ignored in previous methods. To exploit the multilevel corresponding visual contents, we propose a pose-guided multi-granularity attention network (PMA). Firstly, we propose a coarse alignment network (CA) to select the related image regions to the global description by a similarity-based attention. To further capture the phrase-related visual body part, a fine-grained alignment network (FA) is proposed, which employs pose information to learn latent semantic alignment between visual body part and textual noun phrase. To verify the effectiveness of our model, we perform extensive experiments on the CUHK Person Description Dataset (CUHK-PEDES) which is currently the only available dataset for text-based person search. Experimental results show that our approach outperforms the state-of-the-art methods by 15 \% in terms of the top-1 metric.Comment: published in AAAI2020(oral

Lifshitz effects on holographic pp-wave superfluid

In the probe limit, we numerically build a holographic pp-wave superfluid model in the four-dimensional Lifshitz black hole coupled to a Maxwell-complex vector field. We observe the rich phase structure and find that the Lifshitz dynamical exponent zz contributes evidently to the effective mass of the matter field and dimension of the gravitational background. Concretely, we obtain the Cave of Winds appeared only in the five-dimensional anti-de Sitter~(AdS) spacetime, and the increasing zz hinders not only the condensate but also the appearance of the first-order phase transition. Furthermore, our results agree with the Ginzburg-Landau results near the critical temperature. In addition, the previous AdS superfluid model is generalized to the Lifshitz spacetime.Comment: 14 pages,5 figures, and 1 table, accepted by Phys. Lett.

Further developing activities of striving to be advanced and creating excellence are the need of strengthening party organization of basic level and establishing harmonious society of the socialism. In this paper, we explore the concrete methods of carrying out activities of striving to be advanced and creating excellence in emergency department, and their effects on improving relationship between medical care providers and patients, it has certain theoretical and real significance.

A Case Study of Nonresponse Bias Analysis

Nonresponse bias is a widely prevalent problem for data collections. We develop a ten-step exemplar to guide nonresponse bias analysis (NRBA) in cross-sectional studies, and apply these steps to the Early Childhood Longitudinal Study, Kindergarten Class of 2010-11. A key step is the construction of indices of nonresponse bias based on proxy pattern-mixture models for survey variables of interest. A novel feature is to characterize the strength of evidence about nonresponse bias contained in these indices, based on the strength of relationship of the characteristics in the nonresponse adjustment with the key survey variables. Our NRBA incorporates missing at random and missing not at random mechanisms, and all analyses can be done straightforwardly with standard statistical software
