Can hyperbolic phase of Brans-Dicke field account for Dark Matter?

We show that the introduction of a hyperbolic phase for Brans-Dicke (BD) field results in a flat vacuum cosmological solution of Hubble parameter H and fractional rate of change of BD scalar field, F which asymptotically approach constant values. At late stages, hyperbolic phase of BD field behaves like dark matter

This research aims to explain the performance of HR function through the implementation of management audit at the human resource department of PT. XYZ Indonesia – Medan which include the functions of recruitment-selection-orientation, learning and development, job performance appraisal, and employee termination. The research method used is descriptive research with qualitative approach. Data collection method that is used are interview and documentation. The approach used in auditing is compliance audit and risk-based audit. Research result showed that the overall HR functions have been run in accordance to the SOP, however there are some points in SOP that are not implemented in each of the functions studied. Based on the audit findings, the recommendations that can be given are cooperation procurement by the company with educational institution or employee provider for recruitment at the remote area, providing socialization for the objective of filling the Performance Appraisal (PA) to increase the employee\u27s awareness in filling the PA at mid-year, and doing tracking to the supervisor of the employee who is about to have retirement in proposing the extension of the employment\u27s contract

Special Deformed Exponential Functions Leading to More Consistent Klauder's Coherent States

We give a general approach for the construction of deformed oscillators. These ones could be seen as describing deformed bosons. Basing on new definitions of certain quantum series, we demonstrate that they are nothing but the ordinary exponential functions in the limit when the deformation parameters goes to one. We also prove that these series converge to a complex function, in a given convergence radius that we calculate. Klauder's Coherent States are explicitly found through these functions that we design by deformed exponential functionsComment: 10 page

    Multi-Lagrangians for Integrable Systems

    Get PDF
We propose a general scheme to construct multiple Lagrangians for completely integrable non-linear evolution equations that admit multi- Hamiltonian structure. The recursion operator plays a fundamental role in this construction. We use a conserved quantity higher/lower than the Hamiltonian in the potential part of the new Lagrangian and determine the corresponding kinetic terms by generating the appropriate momentum map. This leads to some remarkable new developments. We show that nonlinear evolutionary systems that admit NN-fold first order local Hamiltonian structure can be cast into variational form with 2N12N-1 Lagrangians which will be local functionals of Clebsch potentials. This number increases to 3N23N-2 when the Miura transformation is invertible. Furthermore we construct a new Lagrangian for polytropic gas dynamics in 1+11+1 dimensions which is a {\it local} functional of the physical field variables, namely density and velocity, thus dispensing with the necessity of introducing Clebsch potentials entirely. This is a consequence of bi-Hamiltonian structure with a compatible pair of first and third order Hamiltonian operators derived from Sheftel's recursion operator.Comment: typos corrected and a reference adde

This research was conducted on the basis of the phenomenon of tourist's needs with regard to travel information. One way to provide the information needs is to establish Tourist Information Centre (TIC). The method used is descriptive with qualitative approach and supported by quantitative approach. The purpose of this study is to analyze the role of TIC Malioboro, knowing the great influence of the TIC Malioboro's role with tourist's decision, and parse supporting and inhibiting factors in TIC Malioboro's role for influencing tourist's decision. TIC Malioboro's role which has a major role as a transmitter of travel information. There is also another role are to assist and facilitate tourist travel, increasing the number of visits, extension of the stakeholders, promotion, and collecting tourist's data. This role has an influence on decision-rating of 39.8%, while 60.2% are influenced by other factors. The supporting factors in TIC Malioboro's role are staff's performance, position, and recommandation. The inhibiting factors are staff's communication skill, budget, and new regulation

On the construction of generalized Grassmann representatives of state vectors

Generalized ZkZ_k-graded Grassmann variables are used to label coherent states related to the nilpotent representation of the q-oscillator of Biedenharn and Macfarlane when the deformation parameter is a root of unity. These states are then used to construct generalized Grassmann representatives of state vectors.Comment: 8 page

State estimation for discrete-time neural networks with Markov-mode-dependent lower and upper bounds on the distributed delays

Copyright @ 2012 Springer VerlagThis paper is concerned with the state estimation problem for a new class of discrete-time neural networks with Markovian jumping parameters and mixed time-delays. The parameters of the neural networks under consideration switch over time subject to a Markov chain. The networks involve both the discrete-time-varying delay and the mode-dependent distributed time-delay characterized by the upper and lower boundaries dependent on the Markov chain. By constructing novel Lyapunov-Krasovskii functionals, sufficient conditions are firstly established to guarantee the exponential stability in mean square for the addressed discrete-time neural networks with Markovian jumping parameters and mixed time-delays. Then, the state estimation problem is coped with for the same neural network where the goal is to design a desired state estimator such that the estimation error approaches zero exponentially in mean square. The derived conditions for both the stability and the existence of desired estimators are expressed in the form of matrix inequalities that can be solved by the semi-definite programme method. A numerical simulation example is exploited to demonstrate the usefulness of the main results obtained. This work was supported in part by the Royal Society of the U.K., the National Natural Science Foundation of China under Grants 60774073 and 61074129, and the Natural Science Foundation of Jiangsu Province of China under Grant BK2010313
