    Exploring Financial Performance Disparities: An In-Depth Analysis of Companies Led by Foreign-Born CEOs Versus Non-Foreign-Born CEOs Within the S&P 500

    There is an increasing trend for companies to have foreign-born Chief Executive Officers. It was found that 101 companies in the S&P 500 had foreign-born CEOs. The purpose of this paper was to investigate whether companies with foreign-born CEOs exhibited better financial performance. The study adopted a quantitative approach. We gathered two datasets: one detailing the performance of companies with CEOs born in the United States, and the other delineating the performance of companies with CEOs born outside the United States. We utilized the T-test for the difference of means on these two sets of data. This statistical method allowed us to assess the variations in financial performance metrics between the two groups over a six-year period. The findings indicate that foreign CEOs consistently outperformed their domestic counterparts across all three studied KPI performance measures from 2018 to 2023. T-tests for the difference of means indicated that these results were statistically significant

    Improvement in Accounting Students’ Perception and Judgment on Ethical Issues as They Progress Through the Accounting Curriculum

    The present study used a series of questions to test students on their ethical awareness and judgment. The test was given to three groups of undergraduate accounting students at different levels of the accounting curriculum at a large state university in California. The test results from each group were tabulated based on correct or wrong answers for each question. Significant differences in the comparative percentage of correct answers among the three groups indicated that certain groups of students have better ethical perception and judgment compared to the other groups of students in the study

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakterisasi asam lemak hasil hidrolisis pada biji kelor (Moringa oleifera) dengan metode kromatografi gas-spektroskopi massa. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah biji kelor kering dan basah. Sampel biji kelor diekstraksi menggunakan n-heksan untuk memperoleh minyak. Ditentukan bilangan asam dan bilangan penyabunan. Menghidrolisis minyak hasil ekstraksi dengan larutan KOH dan katalis H2SO4 menjadi asam lemak bebas, analisis asam lemak kemudian dikonversi menjadi metil ester dengan menggunakan pelarut CH3OH dan H2SO4 sebagai katalis. Penelitian ini menggunakan Kromatografi Gas-Spektroskopi Massa untuk mengidentifikasi asam lemak dalam sampel. Dari analisa Kromatografi Gas-Spektroskopi Massa yang telah dilakukan, asam lemak minyak biji kelor kering yang dihasilkan adalah asam laurat, asam palmitoleat, asam palmitat, asam oleat, asam stearat, dan asam arakidat. Sedangkan untuk asam lemak minyak biji kelor basah yang dihasilkan adalah asam palmitoleat, asam palmitat, asam oleat, asam stearat, asam eikosenat, asam arakidat, asam behenat, dan asam lignoserat. Dimana komponen terbesar metil ester pada biji kelor kering dan biji kelor basah adalah metil oleat dengan persentasi masing-masing 38,08% dan 38,84%

    Asymptotic entanglement in 1D quantum walks with a time-dependent coined

    Discrete-time quantum walk evolve by a unitary operator which involves two operators a conditional shift in position space and a coin operator. This operator entangles the coin and position degrees of freedom of the walker. In this paper, we investigate the asymptotic behavior of the coin position entanglement (CPE) for an inhomogeneous quantum walk which determined by two orthogonal matrices in one-dimensional lattice. Free parameters of coin operator together provide many conditions under which a measurement perform on the coin state yield the value of entanglement on the resulting position quantum state. This study aims to determine the increase in the activity of learners using the method of inquiry . The method used is descriptive method of research is a form of action research . The results show there is an increase in physical activity from baseline 28 % kesiklus III 71 % increase 43 % category " Medium " , there is an increase in mental activity from baseline 25 % kesiklus III 50 % increase 25 % category of " Low " , the emotional activity there is an increase of kesiklus III baseline 23.67 % 40.33 % 64 % increase category " Medium " . Based on these data , shows that there is increased activity of learners in the learning of Natural Sciences by using inquiry method in class IV Elementary School 04 Bakul Kapuas Hulu in the high category

    Identifikasi Kemampuan Siswa dalam Menyelesaikan Soal Konsep Mol di Kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Wonosari

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal konsep mol dikelas X SMA Negeri 1 Wonosari. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelasX SMA Negeri 1 Wonosari tahun pelajaran 2014/2015. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 29 orang. Instrumen penelitian ini berupa tes uraian essay sebanyak 10 nomor. Dari hasil uji coba instrumen tes diperoleh 10 nomor soal yang validasi rhitung lebih besar dari rtabel dan koefisien reliabilitas tesnya, yaitu 0,57. Data yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini diteliti secara deskriptif.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, untuk indikator yang 1.) yaitu menerapkan konsep mol dalam perhitungan kimia ada sebanyak 72% siswa dapat menyelesaikan soal dengan baik, 2.) yaitu membedakan konsep mol pada gas dan larutan ada sebanyak 69 % siswa dapat menyelesaikan soal, 3.) yaitu menentukann rumus empiris dan rumus molekul serta senyawa hidrat ada sebanyak 41% siswa dapat menjawab soal, 4.) yaitu menganalisis konsep mol untuk menyelesaikan perhitungan kimia ( hubungan antara jumlah mol, partikel, massa dan volume gas dalam persamaan reaksi serta reaksi pembatas ada sebanyak 24,75% siswa dapat menjawab soal, 5.) yaitu menyetarakan persamaan reaksi ada sebanyak 8,5 % siswa dapat menjawab soal, 6.) yaitu menentukan massa Atom relatif (Ar) dan massa molekul relatif (Mr) ada sebanyak 3% siswa dapat menjawab soal
