    Quantum Tunneling, Blackbody Spectrum and Non-Logarithmic Entropy Correction for Lovelock Black Holes

    We show, using the tunneling method, that Lovelock black holes Hawking radiate with a perfect blackbody spectrum. This is a new result. Within the semiclassical (WKB) approximation the temperature of the spectrum is given by the semiclassical Hawking temperature. Beyond the semiclassical approximation the thermal nature of the spectrum does not change but the temperature undergoes some higher order corrections. This is true for both black hole (event) and cosmological horizons. Using the first law of thermodynamics the black hole entropy is calculated. Specifically the DD-dimensional static, chargeless black hole solutions which are spherically symmetric and asymptotically flat, AdS or dS are considered. The interesting property of these black holes is that their semiclassical entropy does not obey the Bekenstein-Hawking area law. It is found that the leading correction to the semiclassical entropy for these black holes is not logarithmic and next to leading correction is also not inverse of horizon area. This is in contrast to the black holes in Einstein gravity. The modified result is due to the presence of Gauss-Bonnet term in the Lovelock Lagrangian. For the limit where the coupling constant of the Gauss-Bonnet term vanishes one recovers the known correctional terms as expected in Einstein gravity. Finally we relate the coefficient of the leading (non-logarithmic) correction with the trace anomaly of the stress tensor.Comment: minor modifications, two new references added, LaTeX, JHEP style, 34 pages, no figures, to appear in JHE

    Analisis Implikasi UU 35/2009 dan UU 36/2009 dalam Pengembangan Strategi Kebijakan Pencegahan dan Terapi Penyalahgunaan Narkotika Psikotropika dan Zat Adiktif (Napza) di Indonesia

    Background: Substance use disorder is serious problem nationally and globally, although its controlling effort is more considered as criminal rather than health matters. This probably due to the tight regulation of the substance which make illegal use of it is considered as law violation. Commitment of Indonesian government is very strong by setting up aNational Narcotics Bureau (BNN as coordinating and implementing body on narcotics related activities, including therapy and rehabilitation. There are at least five ministries involved in narcotics related activities. However there is different level of the narcotics office in each ministries, reflected their prioirty. Narcotics laws No. 35/2009 provides MOH the right to receive report from therapy and rehabilitation institutions. However it is not clearly stated that MOH is the only resposible body for such report, which meant that Narcotics bureau could also receive the report from its district branches in provinces which previously under the Provincial office. This article reviews the implementation of Narcotics Law No. 35/2009 and Health Law No. 36/2009 for narcotic patients ini DKI, DIY, Jabar, Jatim dan Bali. Methods: The objective is to provide inputs for prevention and treatment policy development to stirr more sinergism and coordinated among related institution. Results: The review identified that narcotic Law UU 35/2009 stated Provincial Narcotic Bureau (BNP) as part of BNN, not part of provincial institution as it used to be. This imply that BNP could have power to regulate treatment and rehabilitation. Provinces need law regulation for coordination between BNP and other provincial institutions, such as health office. social affair office, primary health care and district/provincial hospitals. Health financing is the most important issue whtch need clear regulation because involving several stakeholders, such as ministry of health, BNN, governor and ministry of human affairs

    Exact Differential and Corrected Area Law for Stationary Black Holes in Tunneling Method

    We give a new and conceptually simple approach to obtain the first law of black hole thermodynamics from a basic thermodynamical property that entropy (S) for any stationary black hole is a state function implying that dS must be an exact differential. Using this property we obtain some conditions which are analogous to Maxwell's relations in ordinary thermodynamics. From these conditions we are able to explicitly calculate the semiclassical Bekenstein-Hawking entropy, considering the most general metric represented by the Kerr-Newman spacetime. We extend our method to find the corrected entropy of stationary black holes in (3+1) dimensions. For that we first calculate the corrected Hawking temperature considering both scalar particle and fermion tunneling beyond the semiclassical approximation. Using this corrected Hawking temperature we compute the corrected entropy, based on properties of exact differentials. The connection of the coefficient of the leading (logarithmic) correction with the trace anomaly of the stress tensor is established . We explicitly calculate this coefficient for stationary black holes with various metrics, emphasising the role of Komar integrals.Comment: references added, typos corrected, LaTeX, 28 pages, no figures, to appear in JHE

    Response of Soil and Peanut (Arachis Hypogaea L.) on the Application of Several Local Microorganism and Manures

    Introduction: This research was conducted to determine the effect of several types of local microorganism solutions and manures on the growth and yield of peanut and their impact on the physical properties of ultisols. Materials and Methods: The researches was conducted in Simalingkar B, Medan using Factorial Randomized Block Design within three replications. The first factor was types of microbe sources of local microbial solutions, include un-treated waste (M0), pineapple (M1), orange (M2), and tamarillo (M3) wastes. The second factor was manure types, inluce un-treated manure (P0), chicken (P1), cow (P2), and goat (P3) manures. The parameters were: soil physical characteristics (bulk density, water content and total of pore space), plant height, stem diameter, number of pods, and dry seeds yield. Results: The types of local microorganism solutions only affect to plant height of peanut, but has insignificant effect on the physical properties of ultisols, and stem diameter, the number of filled pods.plant-1, and the dry seeds yield.ha-1 of peanut. The types of manure had significantly effected on plant height and number of filled pods.plant-1, but had insignificant effect on stem diameter, dry seeds yield.ha-1 and the physical properties of ultisols. The interaction of MOL sources and manure did not significantly affect the growth and yield of peanut as well as the physical properties of ultisols. Orange MOL and chicken manure could be increase the plant height of peanut by 18.61% and 6.75%, respectively, compared to un-treated. Goat manure showed the highest number of pods.plant-1 by 6.32% compared to un-treated

    Carving the body at its joints: Does the way we speak about the body shape the way we think about it?

    Looking at the way different linguistic communities speak about a universally shared domain of experience raises questions that are central to the language sciences. How can we compare meaning across languages? What is the interaction between language, thought, and perception? Does linguistic diversity entail linguistic relativism? The literature on the naming systems of the body across languages have addressed these questions with little consensus. In the present study, we contribute to this debate with a comparison of body part terms in French, Indonesian, and Japanese. Using an updated version of the body coloring task, we observed both diversity and cross-linguistically shared patterns. Importantly, we also observed that speakers of languages which violate the wrist/ankle joint boundary rule do not collapse the distinction in thought. This key finding goes against the conflation of language and thought and leads us to conclude that linguistic diversity does not entail linguistic relativism. Methodologically, we advocate for the use of a culturally neutral etic space as a necessary tool in semantic typology. Theoretically, we propose that language is a multilevel phenomenon, which results from the interaction of non-linguistic and cross-culturally shared embodied motivations, context-specific situated language use, and culturally specific sedimented linguistic conventions
