Light Front Approach for Strong and Weak Decays of Pentaquarks
Strong and weak decays of pentaquarks are studied in the framework of the
light-front approach.Comment: 3 pages, talk given at the 2004 DPF Meeting, Riverside, CA. Aug

Noise suppressor for turbo fan jet engines
A noise suppressor is disclosed for installation on the discharge or aft end of a turbo fan engine. Within the suppressor are fixed annular airfoils which are positioned to reduce the relative velocity between the high temperature fast moving jet exhaust and the low temperature slow moving air surrounding it. Within the suppressor nacelle is an exhaust jet nozzle which constrains the shape of the jet exhaust to a substantially uniform elongate shape irrespective of the power setting of the engine. Fixed ring airfoils within the suppressor nacelle therefore have the same salutary effects irrespective of the power setting at which the engine is operated
Improved plasma accelerator
Converging, coaxial accelerator electrode configuration operates in vacuum as plasma gun. Plasma forms by periodic injections of high pressure gas that is ionized by electrical discharges. Deflagration mode of discharge provides acceleration, and converging contours of plasma gun provide focusing
System for measuring three fluctuating velocity components in a turbulently flowing fluid
A system is described for measuring fluid velocity in a turbulently flowing fluid including a sensing apparatus for dynamically sensing the mainstream and two orthogonal cross velocity components of the fluid. A transducer operative is included to provide three electrical output signals representative of the velocity components in the mainstream, and in the cross directions. Signal processors can be utilized to derive the Reynolds stress wave and the Reynolds stress
System for measuring Reynolds in a turbulently flowing fluid
A system for measuring momentum flux in a turbulently flowing fluid includes: a sensing apparatus for dynamically sensing the mainstream and the cross velocity components of the fluid, a transducer operative to provide two electrical output signals representative of the velocity components in the mainstream and in the cross direction, and signal processors to derive the Reynolds stress wave and the Reynolds stress
Control of oscillations in a discharge circuit
Development of electric discharge circuit damping element which increases in resistance with current and time is described. Damping element is resistor made of tungsten wire which has large resistance-temperature coefficient. Specifications of tungsten resistor and incorporation into circuit are explained
Probe for measuring turbulent real-time shear-stress waves
To measure spectrum, magnitude, and time-average value of turbulent shear stress in flow of gas use small, hollow sphere suspended in flow to measure drag fluctuations in two 90 deg-directions as function of time
Reversed cowl-flap thrust augmentor
Inlet mouthpiece with variable geometry improves low-speed performance of inlet (or ejector) of jet engines by use of reversed cowl-flap mechanism. Flaps can be adjusted mechanically or system can be operated with pressure taps set so pressure on inlet face is always smaller than pressure on back of inlet
Internet enabled modelling of extended manufacturing enterprises using the process based techniques
The paper presents the preliminary results of an ongoing research project on Internet enabled process-based modelling of extended manufacturing enterprises. It is proposed to apply the Open System Architecture for CIM (CIMOSA) modelling framework alongside with object-oriented Petri Net models of enterprise processes and object-oriented techniques for extended enterprises modelling. The main features of the proposed approach are described and some components discussed. Elementary examples of object-oriented Petri Net implementation and real-time visualisation are presented
