    The State of Music Therapy Studies in the Past 20 Years: A Bibliometric Analysis

    Purpose: Music therapy is increasingly being used to address physical, emotional, cognitive, and social needs of individuals. However, publications on the global trends of music therapy using bibliometric analysis are rare. The study aimed to use the CiteSpace software to provide global scientific research about music therapy from 2000 to 2019.Methods: Publications between 2000 and 2019 related to music therapy were searched from the Web of Science (WoS) database. The CiteSpace V software was used to perform co-citation analysis about authors, and visualize the collaborations between countries or regions into a network map. Linear regression was applied to analyze the overall publication trend.Results: In this study, a total of 1,004 studies met the inclusion criteria. These works were written by 2,531 authors from 1,219 institutions. The results revealed that music therapy publications had significant growth over time because the linear regression results revealed that the percentages had a notable increase from 2000 to 2019 (t = 14.621, P < 0.001). The United States had the largest number of published studies (362 publications), along with the following outputs: citations on WoS (5,752), citations per study (15.89), and a high H-index value (37). The three keywords “efficacy,” “health,” and “older adults,” emphasized the research trends in terms of the strongest citation bursts.Conclusions: The overall trend in music therapy is positive. The findings provide useful information for music therapy researchers to identify new directions related to collaborators, popular issues, and research frontiers. The development prospects of music therapy could be expected, and future scholars could pay attention to the clinical significance of music therapy to improve the quality of life of people

    Transient Thermal and Structural Analysis of Cylinder and Bolted Joints on BOG Compressor During Starting Process

    BOG (Boil off Gas) compressor deals with the gas evaporated from the LNG storage tank. Its working temperature is lower than -120℃. There are two types of starting process for BOG compressor: Direct Starting and No-load Starting. During the starting process, the temperature on cylinder will change rapidly and result in additional thermal stress to some parts on the cylinder, especially to the bolted joints on the cylinder head. In this paper, transient Finite Element thermal analysis is proposed on the cylinder with some improvement of the boundary condition settings, such as the consideration of the ice increase on the cylinder wall. Then, the theoretical and transient FE analysis are proposed subject to the bolted joints of the cylinder head in two starting process. Result shows that the maximum temperature difference on the cylinder is 81.5℃ during direct starting; while it could decrease to 60.9℃in No-Load Starting. Along the bolted joints in the cylinder head, the maximum temperature difference will be up to 52℃ in direct starting and 45℃ in No-Load Starting. The preload increases rapidly over 60% and its mean tensile stress on the bolt is near to the yield strength. Besides, the preload are distributed unevenly during the starting process. The maximum uneven rate is 20% in Direct Starting and 15% in No-Load Starting. It shows that No-Load Starting could offer a more stable starting process. Finally, based on the theoretical analysis, a preload adjustment method is proposed to ensure the safety and validity of bolted joints on BOG compressor

    Cognitive motor interference for gait and balance in stroke: A systematic review and meta-analysis

    BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE: An increasing interest in the potential benefits of cognitive motor interference (CMI) for stroke has recently been observed, but the efficacy of CMI for gait and balance is controversial. A systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials was performed to estimate the effect of CMI on gait and balance in patients with stroke. METHODS: Articles in Medline, EMBASE, the Cochrane Library, Web of Science, CINAHL, PEDro and the China Biology Medicine disc were searched from 1970 to July 2014. Only randomized controlled trials examining the effects of CMI for patients with stroke were included, and no language restrictions were applied. Main outcome measures included gait and balance function. RESULTS: A total of 15 studies composed of 395 participants met the inclusion criteria, and 13 studies of 363 participants were used as data sources for the meta-analysis. Pooling revealed that CMI was superior to the control group for gait speed [mean difference (MD) 0.19 m/s, 95% confidence interval (CI) (0.06, 0.31), P = 0.003], stride length [MD 12.53 cm, 95% CI (4.07, 20.99), P = 0.004], cadence [MD 10.44 steps/min, 95% CI (4.17, 16.71), P = 0.001], centre of pressure sway area [MD −1.05, 95% CI (−1.85, −0.26), P = 0.01] and Berg balance scale [MD 2.87, 95% CI (0.54, 5.21), P = 0.02] in the short term. CONCLUSION: Cognitive motor interference is effective for improving gait and balance function for stroke in the short term. However, only little evidence supports assumptions regarding CMI's long-term benefits

    Neurodevelopmental disorders as a risk factor for temporomandibular disorder: evidence from Mendelian randomization studies

    Objective: This study aims to clarify the incidence rate of temporomandibular joint disease in patients with mental disorders.Methods: Data extracted from the Psychiatric Genomics Consortium and FinnGen databases employed the Mendelian Randomization (MR) method to assess the associations of three neurodevelopmental disorders (NDDs)—Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and Tourette’s Disorder (TD)—as exposure factors with Temporomandibular Disorder (TMD). The analysis used a two-sample MR design, employing the Inverse Variance Weighted (IVW) method to evaluate the relationships between these disorders and Temporomandibular Disorder. Sensitivity analysis and heterogeneity assessments were conducted. Potential confounding factors like low birth weight, childhood obesity, and body mass index were controlled for.Results: The study found that ADHD significantly increased the risks for TMD (OR = 1.2342, 95%CI (1.1448–1.3307), p < 0.00001), TMD (including avohilmo) (OR = 1.1244, 95%CI (1.0643–1.1880), p = 0.00003), TMD-related pain (OR = 1.1590, 95%CI (1.0964–1.2252), p < 0.00001), and TMD-related muscular pain associated with fibromyalgia (OR = 1.1815, 95%CI (1.1133–1.2538), p < 0.00001), while other disorders did not show significant causal relationships.Conclusion: This study reveals the elevated risk of various TMD aspects due to ADHD. Furthermore, we discuss the link between low vitamin D levels ADHD and TMD. Future research should address these limitations and delve further into the complex interactions between ADHD, ASD, TD, and TMD

    i, Poet: Automatic Chinese Poetry Composition through a Generative Summarization Framework under Constrained Optimization

    Part of the long lasting cultural heritage of China is the classical ancient Chinese poems which follow strict formats and complicated linguistic rules. Automatic Chinese poetry composition by programs is considered as a challenging problem in computational linguistics and requires high Artificial Intelligence assistance, and has not been well addressed. In this paper, we formulate the poetry composition task as an optimization problem based on a generative summarization framework under several constraints. Given the user specified writing intents, the system retrieves cand idate terms out of a large poem corpus, and then orders these terms to fit into poetry formats, satisfying tonal and rhythm requirements. The optimization process under constraints is conducted via iterative term substitutions till convergence, and outputs the subset with the highest utility as the generated poem. For experiments, we perform generation on large datasets of 61,960 classic poems from Tang and Song Dynasty of China. A comprehensive evaluation, using both human judgments and ROUGE scores, has demonstrated the effectiveness of our proposed approach.EI
