Generation of Two-Flavor Vortex Atom Laser from a Five-State Medium
Two-flavor atom laser in a vortex state is obtained and analyzed via
electromagnetically induced transparency (EIT) technique in a five-level
type system by using two probe lights with -directional orbital angular
momentum , respectively. Together with the original transfer
technique of quantum states from light to matter waves, the present result can
be extended to generate continuous two-flavor vortex atom laser with

Dynamics of Domain Wall in a Biaxial Ferromagnet With Spin-torque
The dynamics of the domain wall (DW) in a biaxial ferromagnet interacting
with a spin-polarized current are described by sine-gordon (SG) equation
coupled with Gilbert damping term in this paper. Within our frame-work of this
model, we obtain a threshold of the current in the motion of a single DW with
the perturbation theory on kink soliton solution to the corresponding
ferromagnetic system, and the threshold is shown to be dependent on the Gilbert
damping term. Also, the motion properties of the DW are discussed for the zero-
and nonzero-damping cases, which shows that our theory to describe the dynamics
of the DW are self-consistent.Comment: 7pages, 3figure

Contrasting mechanisms of penile urethral formation in mouse and human.
This paper addresses the developmental mechanisms of formation of the mouse and human penile urethra and the possibility that two disparate mechanisms are at play. It has been suggested that the entire penile urethra of the mouse forms via direct canalization of the endodermal urethral plate. While this mechanism surely accounts for development of the proximal portion of the mouse penile urethra, we suggest that the distal portion of the mouse penile urethra forms via a series of epithelial fusion events. Through review of the recent literature in combination with new data, it is unlikely that the entire mouse urethra is formed from the endodermal urethral plate due in part to the fact that from E14 onward the urethral plate is not present in the distal aspect of the genital tubercle. Formation of the distal portion of the mouse urethra receives substantial contribution from the preputial swellings that form the preputial-urethral groove and subsequently the preputial-urethral canal, the later of which is subdivided by a fusion event to form the distal portion of the mouse penile urethra. Examination of human penile development also reveals comparable dual morphogenetic mechanisms. However, in the case of human, direct canalization of the urethral plate occurs in the glans, while fusion events are involved in formation of the urethra within the penile shaft, a pattern exactly opposite to that of the mouse. The highest incidence of hypospadias in humans occurs at the junction of these two different developmental mechanisms. The relevance of the mouse as a model of human hypospadias is discussed
Development of an Ontology-Based Visual Approach for Property Data Analytics
oai:ojs.pkp.sfu.ca:article/4Real estate is a complex market that consists of many layers of social, financial, and economic data, including but not limited to price, rental, location, mortgage, demographic and housing supply data. The sheer number of real estate properties around the world means that property transactions produce an extraordinary amount of data that is increasing exponentially. Most of the data are presented through thousands of rows on a spreadsheet or described in long paragraphs that are difficult to understand. The emergent data visualization techniques are intended to allow data to be processed and analytics to be displayed visually to enable an understanding of complex information and the identification of new patterns from the data. However, not all visualization techniques can achieve such a thing. Most techniques are able to display only visual low-dimensional data. This paper introduces an ontology visualisation methodology to explore the ontologies of property data behaviour for multidimensional data. The visualisation combines real estate data statistical analysis with several high dimensional data visualisation techniques, including parallel coordinates and stacked area charts. By using six residential suburbs in Sydney as a demonstration, we find that the developed data visualisation methodology can be applied effectively and efficiently to analyse complex real estate market behaviour patterns
