A Secure Oblivious Transfer Protocol from Indistinguishing Obfuscation

We proposed a new secure oblivious transfer protocol from indistinguishability obfuscation in this paper. Our main technical tool is the candidate indistinguishability obfuscation introduced in [1] and a dual-mode cryptosystem proposed in [2]. Following their steps, we presents a new k-out-of-l oblivious transfer protocol, its realization from DDH is described in this paper, in which we combined indistinguishability obfuscation with the dual-mode cryptosystem. The security of our scheme mainly relies on the indistinguishability of the obf-branches ( corresponding to the two modes in dual-mode model). Our paper explores a new way for the application of indistinguishability obfuscation

AIM: To investigate the effects of Huoxuelishuimingmu Granules on corneal edema after phacoemulsification.<p>METHODS: Ninety cases with at least second degree corneal edema the first day after phacoemulsification were randomly divided into the routinely treated group and the Huoxuelishuimingmu Granules intervened group, 45 cases for each group. To the routinely treated group, Tobramycin and Dexamethasone Eye Drops, Compound Tropicamide Eye Drops and Recombinant Bovine Basic Fibroblast Growth Factor Eye Drops were administered in turn during the treatment. While to the Huoxuelishuimingmu Granules intervened group, traditional Chinese medicines with the function of promoting blood circulation, alleviating water retention and removing nebula named Huoxuelishuimingmu Granules were additionally administered. The curative effects and the time taken for vanishment of corneal edema in each group were then observed. One week was counted as a course of treatment and curative effects were calculated after two courses.<p>RESULTS: The Huoxuelishuimingmu Granules intervened group showed a much higher clinical cure rate and took quite shorter time for vanishment of corneal edema compared with the group treated with routine drugs(<i>P</i><0.05 in both aspects), while no better total effective rate was observed(<i>P</i>>0.05). <p>CONCLUSION: Huoxuelishuimingmu Granules has a preferable clinical effect on corneal edema after phacoemulsification, shortening the duration of corneal edema and restoring the sight of patients in advance

Modulation of the thermodynamic, kinetic and magnetic properties of the hydrogen monomer on graphene by charge doping

The thermodynamic, kinetic and magnetic properties of the hydrogen monomer on doped graphene layers were studied by ab initio simulations. Electron doping was found to heighten the diffusion potential barrier, while hole doping lowers it. However, both kinds of dopings heighten the desorption potential barrier. The underlying mechanism was revealed by investigating the effect of doping on the bond strength of graphene and on the electron transfer and the coulomb interaction between the hydrogen monomer and graphene. The kinetic properties of H and D monomers on doped graphene layers during both the annealing process (annealing time t0=t_0 =300 s) and the constant-rate heating process (heating rate α=\alpha =1.0 K/s) were simulated. Both electron and hole dopings were found to generally increase the desorption temperatures of hydrogen monomers. Electron doping was found to prevent the diffusion of hydrogen monomers, while the hole doping enhances their diffusion. Macroscopic diffusion of hydrogen monomers on graphene can be achieved when the doping-hole density reaches 5.0×10135.0\times10^{13} cm2^{-2}. The magnetic moment and exchange splitting were found to be reduced by both electron and hole dopings, which was explained by a simple exchange model. The study in this report can further enhance the understanding of the interaction between hydrogen and graphene and is expected to be helpful in the design of hydrogenated-graphene-based devices.Comment: Submitte

AbstractObjectiveTo observe the protective effect of fasudil hydrochloride against acute renal injury in septicopyemia rats.MethodsA total of 60 Wister rats were included in the study and divided into control group (n = 10), model group (n = 25) and treatment group (n = 25). Model group and treatment group received intraperitoneal injection of endotoxin (ET) to establish acute renal injury models while the control group only received daily intraperitoneal injection of normal saline 1 mL. Five rats were taken out of model group and treatment group respectively at 1 h (T1), 6 h (T2), 12 h (T3), 24 h (T4) and 48 h (T5), for intraperitoneal injection of ET 30 mg/kg. Treatment group received intraperitoneal injection of fasudil hydrochloride 30 mg/kg 1 h before injection of ET. For three groups, 5 mL blood samples were collected from postcava for determination of serum creatinine and urea nitrogen levels at different time points. Concentrations of serum tumor necrosis factor α and ET-1 were determined by using ELISA. The renal pathologic changes were observed under the microscope.ResultsSerum creatinine levels in both model group and treatment group were significantly higher than control group at T2–T5 (P < 0.05) while the levels in treatment group were significantly lower than control group at T3–T5 (P < 0.05). At T2–T5, blood urea nitrogen levels in model group and treatment group were significantly higher than control group (P < 0.05) while the levels in treatment group were significantly lower than model group at T3–T5 (P < 0.05). Concentrations of serum tumor necrosis factor α in model group and treatment group were significantly higher than control group at T1–T5 (P < 0.05) while the levels in treatment group were significantly lower than model group at T1–T5 (P < 0.05). Serum ET-1 concentrations in model group and treatment group were significantly higher than control group at T1–T5 (P < 0.05) while the levels in treatment group at T1–T4 were significantly lower than model group (P < 0.05). Rats in control group showed no swelling or hyperemia in kidney cells but normal structure and normally arranged renal tubular epithelial cells. Obvious injury was observed in model group at T3 and renal tubular epithelial cells in disorder and at swelling condition, hyperemia and angiectasis in glomerulus, degenerative opacities and vacuolar degeneration, and maximized injury were observed at T4. Injury in renal tissue in treatment group was significantly milder than model group.ConclusionsFasudil hydrochloride has the significantly protective effect against acute renal injury in septicopyemia rats

Expressions of Neuregulin 1β and ErbB4 in Prefrontal Cortex and Hippocampus of a Rat Schizophrenia Model Induced by Chronic MK-801 Administration

Recent human genetic studies and postmortem brain examinations of schizophrenia patients strongly indicate that dysregulation of NRG1 and ErbB4 may be important pathogenic factors of schizophrenia. However, this hypothesis has not been validated and fully investigated in animal models of schizophrenia. In this study we quantitatively examined NRG1 and ErbB4 protein expressions by immunohistochemistry and Western blot in the brain of a rat schizophrenia model induced by chronic administration of MK-801 (a noncompetitive NMDA receptor antagonist). Our data showed that NRG1β and ErbB4 expressions were significantly increased in the rat prefrontal cortex and hippocampus but in different subregions. These findings suggest that altered expressions of NRG1 and ErbB4 might be attributed to the schizophrenia. Further study in the role and mechanism of NRG1 and ErbB4 may lead to better understanding of the pathophysiology for this disorder
