Thoughts about Research Management Innovation in College in the Era of Knowledge Economy

This article proposes some effective approaches of research management innovation to solve the existing problems in management conception, management system and management ways and means, based on a thorough understanding of the significance of establishing research management innovation conception in the era of knowledge economy. Charm-strange baryon strong decays in a chiral quark model

The strong decays of charm-strange baryons up to N=2 shell are studied in a chiral quark model. The theoretical predictions for the well determined charm-strange baryons, $\Xi_c^*(2645)$, $\Xi_c(2790)$ and $\Xi_c(2815)$, are in good agreement with the experimental data. This model is also extended to analyze the strong decays of the other newly observed charm-strange baryons $\Xi_c(2930)$, $\Xi_c(2980)$, $\Xi_c(3055)$, $\Xi_c(3080)$ and $\Xi_c(3123)$. Our predictions are given as follows. (i) $\Xi_c(2930)$ might be the first $P$-wave excitation of $\Xi_c'$ with $J^P=1/2^-$, favors the $|\Xi_c'\ ^2P_\lambda 1/2^->$or$|\Xi_c'\ ^4P_\lambda 1/2^->$state. (ii)$\Xi_c(2980)$might correspond to two overlapping$P$-wave states$|\Xi_c'\ ^2P_\rho 1/2^->$and$|\Xi_c'\ ^2P_\rho 3/2^->$, respectively. The$\Xi_c(2980)$observed in the$\Lambda_c^+\bar{K}\pi$final state is most likely to be the$|\Xi_c'\ ^2P_\rho 1/2^->$state, while the narrower resonance with a mass$m\simeq 2.97$GeV observed in the$\Xi_c^*(2645)\pi$channel favors to be assigned to the$|\Xi_c'\ ^2P_\rho 3/2^->$state. (iii)$\Xi_c(3080)$favors to be classified as the$|\Xi_c\ S_{\rho\rho} 1/2^+>$state, i.e., the first radial excitation (2S) of$\Xi_c$. (iv)$\Xi_c(3055)$is most likely to be the first$D$-wave excitation of$\Xi_c$with$J^P=3/2^+$, favors the$|\Xi_c\ ^2D_{\lambda\lambda} 3/2^+>$state. (v)$\Xi_c(3123)$might be assigned to the$|\Xi_c'\ ^4D_{\lambda\lambda} 3/2^+>$,$|\Xi_c'\ ^4D_{\lambda\lambda} 5/2^+>$, or$|\Xi_c\ ^2D_{\rho\rho} 5/2^+>$state. As a by-product, we calculate the strong decays of the bottom baryons$\Sigma_b^{\pm}$,$\Sigma_b^{*\pm}$and$\Xi_b^*$, which are in good agreement with the recent observations as well.Comment: 15 pages, 9 figure

The mol­ecule of the title compound, [CuNa(C18H18N2O4)(ClO4)(CH3OH)], is almost planar with mean deviation of 5.2 (8)°. The coordination environment of the CuII ion is distorted square-planar and it is N2O2-chelated by the 6,6′-dimeth­oxy-2,2′-[ethane-1,2-diylbis(nitrilo­methyl­idyne)]diphenolate Schiff base ligand. The Na atom is chelated by the four O atoms of the Schiff base ligand, and coordinated by a methanol mol­ecule and a perchlorate anion. The six-coordinate Na atom adopts a distorted octa­hedral coordination geometry. The O atoms of the perchlorate anion are disordered over two sites with site-occupancy factors of 0.697 (5) and 0.303 (5). O—H⋯O hydrogen bonding occurs

Recent progress in the asymmetric Mannich reaction

The asymmetric Mannich reaction is one of the most useful carbon-carbon bond forming reactions for the synthesis of chiral molecules containing nitrogen. The resulting β-amino carbonyl compounds are valuable synthons in the preparation of many natural products with useful biological properties. In recent years, asymmetric Mannich processes have increasingly been reported and used in a rapidly growing number of applications. This review provides an overview of the recent history of the applications of various catalytic systems in asymmetric Mannich reaction, including metal-based asymmetric organocatalysis, asymmetric organocatalysis, other chiral catalysis and no chiral catalysis systems

Clinical observation on pathologic myopia CNV treated with intravitreal bevacizumab

AIM: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of intravitreal bevacizumab(Avastin)for choroidal neovascularization(CNV)in pathologic myopia(PM)by including optical coherence tomography(OCT), fluorescein angiography(FFA)and best-corrected visual acuity(BCVA). METHODS: Totally 42 eyes in 41 patients with PM CNV were divided into 2 groups randomly, experimental group(n=22)were assigned to receive intravitreal bevacizumab injections and take fufangxueshuantong capsule; control group(n=20)just took fufangxueshuantong capsule. Subjects were followed up every month after treatment. The efficacy and safety of two group were compared by ophthalmic evaluations including OCT, FFA, and BCVA. RESULTS: BCVA: BCVA in two groups was improved after 12 months. The mean number of treatments per eye, experimental group was 4.23±2.02 and control group was 1.95±1.90. There was significant difference(P<0.005). OCT: Before and after 12 months central foveal thickness(CFD)for two groups were thin,and the mean value in experimental group was 43.41±40.39μm and in control group was 22.65±20.79μm, there was significant difference(P<0.05); FFA: In experimental group CNV was completely disappeared in 20 eyes(91%), persistent in 2 eyes(9%); the control group CNV was completely disappeared in 12 eyes(60%), persistent in 8 eyes(40%). There was significant difference(P<0.05). CONCLUSION: Intravitreal bevacizumab are safe and effective treatment for most patients of CNV in PM

Long-term results of clear lens extraction combined with piggyback intraocular lens implantation to correct high hyperopia

<b>AIM:</b> To assess the refractive outcome of clear lensectomy combined with piggyback intraocular lens implantation in highly hyperopic patients.<b>METHODS:</b> This case review included 19 eyes of 10 patients with high hyperopia and axial length less than 21mm. Intraocular lens power was calculated for emmetropia using the Holladay II formula in 17 eyes, and SRK/T formula in 2 eyes following clear lens extraction and piggyback intraocular lens implantation. Patients were examined periodically over 24 months for visual acuity and spherical equivalent (SE).<b>RESULTS:</b> The mean postoperative SE at 24 months was 0.20±1.39D (range, -3.00 to 2.50D), better than preoperative 9.81±2.62D (range, +6.00 to +14.50D) (<i>P</i><0.001). Five eyes had SE within ±0.5D of emmetropia and 11 eyes within ±1.00D at postoperative 24 months. The mean postoperative uncorrected visual acuity (UCVA) at 24 months was 0.60±0.36, significantly improved compared to preoperative 1.39±0.33 (<i>P</i><0.001). The mean best-corrected visual acuity (BCVA) at 24 months was 0.49±0.35, not statistically different compared to preoperative 0.38±0.30 (<i>P</i>=0.34). Twelve eyes maintained and 1 gained 1 or more Snellen line of BCVA, 4 eyes lost 1 line, and 2 eyes lost 2 lines at 24 postoperative months. Twelve eyes best-corrected near visual acuity (BCNVA) achieved J1 at postoperative 24 months compared to preoperative 7 eyes and the other 7 eyes better than J3.<b>CONCLUSION:</b> Clear lens extraction combined piggyback intraocular lens implantation appears to be an effective procedure to correct high hyperopia but mild overcorrection and intralenticular opacification may require secondary procedure
