    Bis{μ-2-[1-(2-Pyridylmethylimino)ethyl]phenolato}bis[azidocopper(II)]

    Get PDF
The title compound, [Cu2(C14H13N2O)2(N3)2], was synthesized by the reaction of Cu(NO3)2·3H2O with the Schiff base 2-[1-(2-pyridylmethylimino)ethyl]phenol (HL) in methanol–water solution, adding NaN3 as the bridging ligand. The asymmetric unit contains one half-molecule, the other half being generated by the inversion center. Each CuII atom shows a slightly distorted trigonal-pyramidal geometry formed by two N atoms and one O atom from one Schiff base ligand, by another O atom of a second Schiff base ligand and by an azide N atom. The crystal structure is stabilized by intermolecular C—H⋯N hydrogen bonds

In bio-medical field, embedded numerous sensing nodes can be used to monitor and interact with physical world based on signal analysis and processing. Data from many different sources can be collected into massive data sets via localized sensor networks. Understanding the environment requires collecting and analyzing data from thousands of sensors monitoring, this is big data environment. The application of bio-medical image fusion for big-data computing has strong development momentum, big-data bio-medical image fusion is one of key problems, so the fusion method study is a hot topic in the field of signal analysis and processing. The existing methods have many limitations, such as large delay, data redundancy, more energy cost, low quality, so novel fusion computing method based on spherical coordinate for big-data bio-medical image of WSN is proposed in this paper. In this method, the three high-frequency coefficients in wavelet domain of bio-medical image are pre-processed. This pre-processing strategy can reduce the redundant ratio of big-data bio-medical image. Firstly, the high-frequency coefficients are transformed to the spherical coordinate domain to reduce the correlation in the same scale. Then, a multi-scale model product (MSMP) is used to control the shrinkage function so as to make the small wavelet coefficients and some noise removed. The high-frequency parts in spherical coordinate domain are coded by improved SPIHT algorithm. Finally, based on multi-scale edge of bio-medical image, it can be fused and reconstructed. Experimental results indicate the novel method is effective and very useful for transmission of big-data bio-medical image, which can solve the problem of data redundancy, more energy cost and low quality

Characterization of a new feather-degrading bacterium from Calotes versicolor feces

A total of 842 spore-forming strains were isolated from 221 animal feces samples, in which a new feather-degrading bacterium identified as Bacillus sp. 50-3 based on morphological, biochemical and 16S rDNA tests was isolated from Calotes versicolor (an agamid lizard) feces. The bacterium can degrade native feather completely at mild conditions and in much shorter time (36 h) when using chicken feather as the sole carbon and nitrogen source. It presented optimum growth and maximum keratinase activity (680±25 U/ml, 36 h) at 37°C and pH 7.0 in feather meal medium. The keratinase of Bacillus sp. 50-3 was active on feather keratin as substrate and presented optimum additive quantity of 1.0% (w/v). So the high efficiency of Bacillus sp. 50-3 on feather-degradation suggested its potential use in biotechnological processes, especially in decreasing the environment pollution. Keywords: Animal feces, Bacillus, chicken feathers, keratinase, optimum conditions

In the title compound, [Cd(NO3)2(C12H12N6)2]n, the CdII cation is located on an inversion center and is six-coordinated by four N atoms from four 1,3-bis[(1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)methyl]benzene (L) ligands and two O atoms from two nitrate anions in a slightly distorted octahedral geometry. The ligands link different CdII ions into a ribbon-like structure along [001]. Two O atoms of the nitrate anion are disordered over two sets of sites with site occupancies of 0.575 (8) and 0.425 (8)
