    The aims of Science and technology for society (IbM) on UMKM are as follows: 1) Estrous Syncronization in goats using PGF2a 2) Superovulation in goats using PMSG and HCG 3) goat genetic improvement through artificial insemination using fresh semen 3) pregnancy rates as the result of Al 4) litter size and sex ratio of the goatling as well. Twenty five goat were synchronized using PGF2a dose of 5 mg'tail in this research. Treatment was conducted twice interval of 11 days. Goats showing symptoms of estrus after the second injection of PGF2a were treated by artificial insemination using fresh semen of male Crossbred Etawa. Treatment was conducted twice interval of 11 days Ten goat were synchronized using PGF2a dose of 5 mg/tail and superovulation PMSG dose 500 IU and HCG 250 IU in. this research. Goats showing symptoms of estrus after the second injection of PGF2a were treated by artificial insemination using fresh semen of male Crossbred Etawa. After Estrous Syncronization to 25 breeding goats using PGF2a, total estrous goats from the first injection of PGF2a were 15 individuals (60Y6) and total estrous goats from the second injection of PGF2a as many as 25 tails (10096). The occurrence of pregnant goat after AI using fresh semen were 21 individuals (8476) and non-pregnant goats were 4 tails (1696). The total litter size were 42 tails, with the number of survived goatling were 40 individuals (95,23Y6) and the number of mortality were 2 individuals (4,7796). Sex ratio showed that the comparison between male and female lamb was 25 tails (62,50Y6) to 15 tails (37,50Y6). After Estrous Syncronization to 10 breeding goats using PGF2a and superovulation using PMSG and HCG. The occurrence of pregnant goat after AI using fresh semen were 8 individuals (80Y6) and non-pregnant goats were 2 tails (2096). The total litter size were 26 tails, with the number of survived goatling were 23 individuals (88,4674) and the number of mortality were 3 individuals (11,5496). Sex ratio showed that the comparison between male and female lamb was 12 tails (52,17”0) to 11 tails (47,83Y2).     Effect of Green Tea Extract Supplementation in The semen Extender on Post-Thaw Sperm Quality of Simmental Bulls

    The aim of this study was to determine the effects of green tea extract as antioxidant in the extender of frozen semen on the viability, motility, integrity of plasma membrane, percentage of necrosis and apoptosis of spermatozoa. Ejaculates collected from four Simmental bulls were evaluated and placed in 37°C water bath before the cryopreservation process was started. The semen samples were diluted in milk-egg yolk supplemented with green tea extract of 0 (P0) as control, 0.05 (P1), 0.1 (P2), and 0.15 (P3) mg/100 ml extender, respectively. Diluted semen packed in 0.25 ml straws were cryopreserved and stored in liquid nitrogen for four weeks. Cryopreserved semen packed in straws were thawed individually in 37°C water bath for 30 sec then evaluated microscopically. The results showed that P2 had the highest post-thaw sperm viability, motility, and integrity of plasma membrane compared to the other groups (P<0.05). In addition, the percentage of necrosis and apoptosis of sperm were lowest in P2 (P<0.05) compared to the other groups. The results of the study suggest that semen samples diluted in milk-egg yolk supplemented with green tea extract at the rate of 0.1 mg/100 ml extender had the highest semen quality.
