    A Relationship Study of Teachers’ Perception towards Professional Development and Their Job Satisfaction in Guilin University of Electronic Technology, Guangxi, China

    The main purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between teachers’ perception towards professional development and their job satisfaction in GuiLin University of Electronic Technology, GuangXi, China in the academic year 2014 – 2015.A total of one hundred and forty – one (141) full – time teachers from the GuiLin University of Electronic Technology were surveyed for this study. The main resource of data was the questionnaire that investigated the teachers’ perception towards professional development and their job satisfaction. The collected data were analyzed by using the mean, standard deviation and Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient. The research findings indicated that the level of teachers’ professional development was the high in the school, and from the results of teachers’ job satisfaction, it was found that the level of their job satisfaction was regarded as ‘moderate’. A moderate possitive relationship between teachers’ perception towards professional development and their job satisfaction was existing in GuiLin University of Electronic Technology, GuangXi province of China

    本研究の目的は、日本アパレル製造業について、企業パフォーマンスに影響を与える要因として企画、製造および販路という3つの柱に沿って実証分析を行うことでる。分析モデルは、被説明変数として売上高をパフォーマンスの代理変数として採用し、説明変数には企業規模のほか、ダミー変数として自主企画機能の有無、自社・他社製造、販路(小売・卸・直営店・インターネット、TV、カタログ)の変数を採用し、重回帰分析を行った。得られた結果は以下のとおり。①企業規模はパフォーマンスにプラスの影響をもたらしている。②自社で企画を行う企業ほどパフォーマンスに対してプラスの効果が見られる。③他社工場での生産を利用する企業ほど高いパフォーマンスをもたらしている。④小売の販路を利用する企業ほどより大きなパフォーマンスをもたらす。⑤卸の販路を利用する企業はパフォーマンスが大きくない。⑥直営店での販売は有意な結果が得られず、直営店での販売は儲からないことが分かった。⑦このほか、無店舗販売としてのインターネット、テレビ販売、カタログでの販売は信頼ある結果が得られなかった。これまでアパレル製造業を対象とした実証分析は皆無であったことから、以上の分析結果はアパレル産業に対して貴重な情報になることが期待される

    Specialty store strategies among Japanese SPA companies : an empirical analysis in the apparel industry

    本研究の目的は、アパレル産業におけるメーカー系SPA企業の直営店出店戦略に影響を与える要因を実証的に明らかにすることである。そこで、分析モデルとして静学モデル(重回帰モデル)および動学モデル(多項ロジットモデル)を採用し、2009年および2012/13年の2か年のデータを用いて推定を行った。主な結果として、企業業績が悪いほど直営店出店によって状況を改善しようとする傾向が強いこと、また、業績のいい販路(専門店、量販店)と取引を行っている企業ほど直営店の展開は現状維持もしくは減少させ、業績の悪い販路(百貨店)と取引している企業ほど直営店出店を拡大する傾向にあることが明らかにされた

    Bacteriological and Molecular Identification of Bartonella Species in Cats from Different Regions of China

    With the improvements in diagnostic techniques, Bartonella henselae (B. henselae) infection has recently been recognized to cause a widening spectrum of diseases. Cats are the natural reservoir hosts of B. henselae. The current study aims to investigate the prevalence of B. henselae infection in the cat populations in China. Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and bacterial cultures confirm that 12.7% of the tested cats were positive for the infection. Old age and outdoor exposure were statistically associated with the infection. Multilocus sequence typing and eBURST analysis of the cat isolates collected in the present study show that 65.4% of the isolates belong to sequence type 1 (ST1). Three new STs (ST16–18) were identified in Midwestern China. These results may aid our understanding of the population structure of B. henselae in China and the relationship between human and cat strains in subsequent studies

    Exploring the Cosmic Reionization Epoch in Frequency Space: An Improved Approach to Remove the Foreground in 21 cm Tomography

    Aiming to correctly restore the redshifted 21 cm signals emitted by the neutral hydrogen during the cosmic reionization processes, we re-examine the separation approaches based on the quadratic polynomial fitting technique in frequency space to investigate whether they works satisfactorily with complex foreground, by quantitatively evaluate the quality of restored 21 cm signals in terms of sample statistics. We construct the foreground model to characterize both spatial and spectral substructures of the real sky, and use it to simulate the observed radio spectra. By comparing between different separation approaches through statistical analysis of restored 21 cm spectra and corresponding power spectra, as well as their constraints on the mean halo bias bb and average ionization fraction xex_e of the reionization processes, at z=8z=8 and the noise level of 60 mK we find that, although the complex foreground can be well approximated with quadratic polynomial expansion, a significant part of Mpc-scale components of the 21 cm signals (75% for 6h1\gtrsim 6h^{-1} Mpc scales and 34% for 1h1\gtrsim 1h^{-1} Mpc scales) is lost because it tends to be mis-identified as part of the foreground when single-narrow-segment separation approach is applied. The best restoration of the 21 cm signals and the tightest determination of bb and xex_e can be obtained with the three-narrow-segment fitting technique as proposed in this paper.     How is it effective for farmers to adopt environmentally friendly cultivated land protection technology: a configurational perspective

    The adoption of environmentally friendly farmland conservation techniques by farmers is an important way to effectively curb agricultural surface pollution and promote the conservation of farmland quality. Based on 425 farmers’ in-depth interview data, a fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis method was used to construct a psychological cognition (farmers’ awareness and willingness to participate)—external context (organizational linkages and government regulation)—behavioral effect model to reveal the conditional configuration and multivariate paths of psychological cognition and external contextual factors influencing farmers’ behavioral effects on the adoption of environmentally friendly farmland conservation technologies. The results show that individual behavioral decision factors do not influence the behavioral effects of farmers. The results show that individual behavioral decision factors are not necessary to drive the effective adoption of environmentally friendly farmland conservation technologies and that multiple decision factors interact to form three sets of configurations that enhance the behavioral effectiveness of farmers, summarized as the willingness-to-participate dominant model, the internal and external constraints dominant model, and the external context dominant model

    BackgroundAn anomalous systemic arterial supply to the lung lobes is a rare congenital pulmonary vascular malformation. Current treatments include thoracoscopic lobectomy, anatomical segmentectomy, simple ligation and arterial embolization. However, the optimal treatment remains controversial.Case presentationA 29-year-old man was diagnosed with anomalous systemic arterial supply to the left lower lobe through contrast-enhanced computed tomography and three-dimensional reconstruction. He underwent coil embolization of the anomalous artery and was followed up for 1 year.ConclusionsBlockage of the blood flow of the anomalous systemic artery alone does not improve the blood supply of the pulmonary artery to lung tissue and thus cannot restore normal gas exchange through the blood-gas barrier. Coil embolization of the anomalous arterial supply can cause early postoperative pulmonary infarction

    A new model based on adiabatic flame temperature for evaluation of the upper flammable limit of alkane-air-CO2 mixtures

For security issue of alkane used in Organic Rankine Cycle, a new model to evaluate the upper flammability limits for mixtures of alkanes, carbon dioxide and air has been proposed in present study. The linear relationship was found at upper flammability limits between molar fraction of diluent in alkane-CO 2 mixture and calculated adiabatic flame temperature. The prediction ability of the variable calculated adiabatic flame temperature model that incorporated the linear relationship above is greatly better than the models that adopted the fixed calculated adiabatic flame temperature at upper flammability limit. The average relative differences between results predicted by the new model and observed values are less than 3.51% for upper flammability limit evaluation. In order to enhance persuasion of the new model, the observed values of n-butane-CO 2 and isopentane-CO 2 mixtures measured in this study were used to confirm the validity of the new model. The predicted results indicated that the new model possesses the capacity of practical application and can adequately provide safe non-flammable ranges for alkanes diluted with carbon dioxide
