    A Study on the E-C Consecutive Interpreting in Ocean Security Conference Guided by Compression Theory

    This conference interpretation is the interpretation of the discussion on the phenomena taking place in the South China Sea. In this paper, the author uses an authentic corpus from transcripts of a conference on ocean security. There are five levels of compression on conference interpreting. They are syllabic compression, lexical compression, syntactic compression, semantic compression and situational compression. In this paper, in syllabic compression, the author aims to compress the syllables of words and phrases. In lexical compression, the author compresses unnecessary expressions of words and phrases. In syntactic compression, the author compresses sentences and phrases syntactically to make the text structure more concise. In semantic compression, the author compresses repeated expressions. In situational compression, the author compresses unnecessary expressions in the speech

    Sishen Pill inhibits intestinal inflammation in diarrhea mice via regulating kidney-intestinal bacteria-metabolic pathway

    BackgroundSishen Pill (SSP) has good efficacy in diarrhea with deficiency kidney-yang syndrome (DKYS), but the mechanism of efficacy involving intestinal microecology has not been elucidated.ObjectiveThis study investigated the mechanism of SSP in regulating intestinal microecology in diarrhea with DKYS.MethodsAdenine combined with Folium sennae was used to construct a mouse model of diarrhea with DKYS and administered with SSP. The behavioral changes and characteristics of gut content microbiota and short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs) of mice were analyzed to explore the potential association between the characteristic bacteria, SCFAs, intestinal inflammatory and kidney function-related indicators.ResultsAfter SSP intervention, the body weight and anal temperature of diarrhea with DKYS gradually recovered and approached the normal level. Lactobacillus johnsonii was significantly enriched, and propionic, butyric, isobutyric and isovaleric acids were elevated. Serum creatinine (Cr), interleukin-6 (IL-6) and tumour necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) levels of the mice were reduced, while serum blood urea nitrogen (BUN) and secretory immunoglobulin A (sIgA) in the colonic tissues were increased. Moreover, there were correlations between L. johnsonii, SCFAs, intestinal inflammatory, and kidney function.ConclusionSSP might suppress the intestinal inflammation by regulating the “L. johnsonii-propionic acid” pathway, thus achieving the effect of treating diarrhea with DKYS

    Expression of Cripto-1 in the placenta and its role in placenta accreta and placenta previa

    Objectives: This study Aims to explore the role of placental Cripto-1 in the incidence of an adherent placenta.  Material and methods: Ten pregnant women with placenta increta, 20 pregnant women with placenta previa and 30 women with normal pregnant were enrolled in this study. Reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) was used to measure the expression of Cripto-1 in the placenta while as the analysis of placental Cripto-1 was performed by Western blotting  Results: The placenta increta group showed higher levels of Cripto-1 in the center of the increta as compared to the non-implantation area. The level of placental Cripto-1 in the placenta increta was higher than that of the placenta accrete. The expression of placental Cripto-1 in the placenta increta and placenta previa groups was higher than that of control.  Conclusions: Placental Cripto-1 is involved in the regulation of placental tissue invasion. Additionally, excessive placental growth or penetration into the myometrium are likely to be involved in the development of placenta increta.

    Simulation of the effect of stand-off parameter on collapse behaviours of a single cavitation bubble in jet drilling

    Cavitation jet drilling has been extensively employed for the exploitation of geo-energy resources. The dynamics of cavitation bubbles in close proximity to the solid boundary have been a subject of great interest during jet drilling, as they play a crucial role in determining the cavitation performance. In present work, the dynamics of a single cavitation bubble near a solid surface is numerically investigated by using the axisymmetric Navier-Stokes equations and the volume of fluid method with considering the surface tension of gas-liquid interface, liquid viscosity and compressibility of gas in bubble. The simulated profiles are qualitatively and quantitatively consistent with the experimental images, which proves the reliability of employed numerical model. The effects of stand-off distance on the bubble profiles, bubble volume and collapse time have been analysed. Moreover, the cavitation erosion patterns towards the solid wall are also revealed for different dimensionless standoff distances. The simulation results reveal two distinct collapse patterns for the bubble profiles. The solid wall significantly impedes the shrinkage rate of the bubble, resulting in the longest collapse time when the dimensionless stand-off distance is 1.0. Three erosion patterns of cavitation bubbles towards the solid wall are observed, with the shock wave and micro-jet both contributing significantly to the damage caused by cavitation erosion.
