Chinese MTI Students’ Multiple Identities Construction: A Qualitative Study
This article aims at unraveling Chinese MTI (Master of Translation and Interpreting) students’ multiple identities. The cultural shift of translation studies gives impetus to carry out research on identity and translation. However, the identity research of translators remains a nascent field, with insufficient attention given to the aspects of dynamicity and multiplicity. Regarding MTI students as translators, L2 users, and graduate students, this article delves into the interrelationship of their multiple identities. These three identities are gradually constructed and might interact with each other during MTI students’ graduate learning and translation practice, further affecting their self-cognition, professional emotions, and behaviors in translation practice. Finally, the article investigates the factors contributing to the construction of MTI students’ multiple identities. Considering the emergence of the field of MTI, it is necessary to systematically evaluate the external and internal factors that affect the development of MTI students’ multi-identities, so as to better adjust the construction of MTI major
Long N-step Surrogate Stage Reward to Reduce Variances of Deep Reinforcement Learning in Complex Problems
High variances in reinforcement learning have shown impeding successful
convergence and hurting task performance. As reward signal plays an important
role in learning behavior, multi-step methods have been considered to mitigate
the problem, and are believed to be more effective than single step methods.
However, there is a lack of comprehensive and systematic study on this
important aspect to demonstrate the effectiveness of multi-step methods in
solving highly complex continuous control problems. In this study, we introduce
a new long -step surrogate stage (LNSS) reward approach to effectively
account for complex environment dynamics while previous methods are usually
feasible for limited number of steps. The LNSS method is simple, low
computational cost, and applicable to value based or policy gradient
reinforcement learning. We systematically evaluate LNSS in OpenAI Gym and
DeepMind Control Suite to address some complex benchmark environments that have
been challenging to obtain good results by DRL in general. We demonstrate
performance improvement in terms of total reward, convergence speed, and
coefficient of variation (CV) by LNSS. We also provide analytical insights on
how LNSS exponentially reduces the upper bound on the variances of Q value from
a respective single step metho
The Social Influence Enhanced by the Mass Media Broadcasting in Innovation Diffusion
Based on the Bass model and the micro-model of mass media network, we propose an agent-based threshold approach including the mutual interaction between social relationship network and mass media network. Taking the heterogeneity of individuals into account, it is found that the direct advertisement from mass media broadcasting will attract the potential adopters greatly at the beginning of innovation diffusion. In the middle of diffusion process, the previous adopters formalize a positive feedback to the potential adopters via mass media broadcasting. The social collective effect can be strongly enhanced if the potential adopter prefer to mass media broadcasting. Furthermore, it is found that the complexity of the social relationship network may postpone the social collective effect
On the Function Setting of Fund Supervision for the State-Owned Assets Supervision Informatization Platform
Through the analysis on the issues existed in current fund supervision of state-owned enterprises of China, this paper proposed the idea of setting function of fund supervision for the state-owned assets supervision informatization platform, and set forth the specific functions and setting requirement of relevant subsystems; besides, it pointed out the issues of concern in function setting for informatization platform, expecting to maximally realize the overall fund supervision towards subordinate enterprises of State-owned Assets Management Office. Key words: Fund supervision; Informatization of supervision; State-owned enterprise
Discussion on the Difference Between the Business Model and Profit Model
In recent years, the business model and profit model has attracted wide attentions of the domestic and foreign academic circles and enterprise circles, however, during the studies, most of them confuse the commercial mode and profit mode. It will cover the creation of enterprise value, brings the barrier to true methods of accurately reveal the enterprise profits. This paper introduced the definition of the business model and profit model, and then analyzes the relationship and differences between them. Key words: Business model; Profit model; Definition; Relationship; Difference
Improving Consolidated Financial Statement Working Papers and Normalizing Preparation Process
Preparation for the consolidated financial statements plays an important role in business merger. This paper analyzes the preparation process and formats of consolidated financial statements working papers in China Certified Public Accountant (CPA) materials in recent years. Based on our studies, we propose improved formats of consolidated financial statement working papers and normalized preparation process. Key words: Consolidated financial statement, Working papers, Optimization statemen
Reflections on Resumption and Improvement of Enterprise Statement of Profit Distribution
The enterprise profit distribution and its disclosure problem are analyzed to demonstrate why resumption and improvement of the enterprise statement of profitdistribution are needed. It is noted that a limit should be set between disclosures of profit formation and distribution. Resumption of the enterprise statement of profit distribution discloses the conditions of profit distribution in a better way while an improvement helps improve the disclosure of the participation of human capital in enterprise profit distribution. The participation of stakeholders in enterprise profit statement of profit distribution is kept in a “white box” to analyze and studywhether the contribution of production factors matches its participation in distribution
Research on Value Assessment Methods of the NEWOTCBB Listed Company
With the constant improvement of our multi-level capital market, the new third board which is specifically for high-growth high-tech non-listed enterprise to transfer stock and finance directionally has gradually become an important part on the capital market. We call it NEWOTCBB. With the growing of the new third board, system constantly improving and financing constantly simplifying, it is of great significance for the small and medium-sized enterprise development. As an investor, having a correct understanding to the value of the companies in the national equities exchange and quotations can make the right investment decisions. So how to properly assess the value of the new third board companies becomes increasingly important for investors. Different valuation methods have their own characteristics. In this paper, with in-depth analysis of the characteristics of new third board companies enterprises and comparing the advantages and disadvantages of various evaluation methods, it is to identify the quotations valuation method - Real Options. Key words: NEWOTCBB; The new third board; Real optio
