Graph-based Household Matching for Linking Census Data
Historical censuses consist of individual facts about a community. It provides knowledge concerned with the nation’s population. These data apply the reconstruction features of a specific period to trace their ancestors and families changes over time. Linking census data is a difficult task as common names, data quality and household changes over time. During the decades, a household may split multiple households due to marriage or move to another household. This paper proposes a graph-based approach to link households, which takes the relationship between household members. Using individual record linking results, the proposed method builds household graphs, so that the matches are determined by attribute similarity and records relationship similarity. According to the experimental results, the proposed method reaches an F-score of 0.974on Ireland Census data, outperforming all alternative methods being compared
Modern Movement in Myanmar
This paper highlights the course of the development of modern architecture in Myanmar, a country with an original and vital architectural tradition. There are case studies of well-known foreign and Myanmar architects who dealt with the relationship of spatial, cultural and environmental factors of modern architecture. Some architectural masterpieces created during the second half of the 20th century between 1950 and 1970 in Yangon are presented in this article in order to highlight the inspiration, imagination and limitation of these pioneer architects. The main reason for selecting these case studies are not only because of the influences from the outside world occurred in the post-independence period, but they can reveal the intertwined logic of the nation’s identity-building. They reveal the new consciousness of globalization as well as the development of regionalism
Loss Minimization of Power Distribution Network using Different Types of Distributed Generation Unit
A Radial Distribution network is important in power system area because of its simple design and reduced cost. Reduction of system losses and improvement of voltage profile is one of the key aspects in power system operation. Distributed generators are beneficial in reducing losses effectively in distribution systems as compared to other methods of loss reduction. Sizing and location of DG sources places an important role in reducing losses in distribution network. Four types of DG are considered in this paper with one DG installed for minimize the total real and reactive power losses. The objective of this methodology is to calculate size and to identify the corresponding optimum location for DG placement for minimizing the total real and reactive power losses and to improve voltage profile in primary distribution system. It can obtain maximum loss reduction for each of four types of optimally placed DGs. Optimal sizing of Distributed Generation can be calculated using exact loss formula and an efficient approach is used to determine the optimum location for Distributed Generation Placement. To demonstrate the performance of the proposed approach 36-bus radial distribution system in Belin Substation in Myanmar was tested and validated with different sizes and the result was discussed
Network Reconfiguration for Loss Reduction and Voltage Profile Improvement of 110-Bus Radial Distribution System Using Exhaustive Search Techniques
Nowadays, the electricity demand is increasing day by day and hence it is very important not only to extract electrical energy from all possible new power resources but also to reduce power losses to an acceptable minimum level in the existing distribution networks where a large amount of power dissipation occurred. In Myanmar, a lot of power is remarkably dissipated in distribution system. Among methods in reducing power losses, network reconfiguration method is employed for loss minimization and exhaustive technique is also applied to achieve the minimal loss switching scheme. Network reconfiguration in distribution systems is performed by opening sectionalizing switches and closing tie switches of the network for loss reduction and voltage profile improvement. The distribution network for existing and reconfiguration conditions are modelled and simulated by Electrical Transient Analyzer Program (ETAP) 7.5 version software. The inputs are given based on the real time data collected from 33/11kV substations under Yangon Electricity Supply Board (YESB). The proposed method is tested on 110-Bus, overhead AC radial distribution network of Dagon Seikkan Township since it is long-length, overloaded lines and high level of power dissipation is occurred in this system. According to simulation results of load flow analysis, voltage profile enhancement and power loss reduction for proposed system are revealed in this paper
Domain-Specific Sentiment Lexicon for Classification
Nowadays people express their opinions about products, government policies, schemes and programs over social media sites using web or mobile. At the present time, in our country, government changes policies in every sector and people follow with the eyes or the mind on these policies and express their opinion by writing comments on social media especially using Facebook news media pages. Therefore, our research group intends to do sentiment analysis on new articles. Domain-specific sentiment lexicon has played an important role in opinion mining system. Due to the ubiquitous domain diversity and absence of domain-specific prior knowledge, construction of domain-specific lexicon has become a challenging research topic in recent year. In this paper, lexicon construction for sentiment analysis is described. In this work, there are two main steps: (1) pre-processing on raw data comments that are extracted from Facebook news media pages and (2) constructing lexicon for coming classification work. The word correlation and chi-square statistic are applied to construct lexicon as desired. Experimental results on comments datasets demonstrate that proposed approach is suitable for construction the domain-specific lexicon

The aim of this research is to design an appropriate conceptual evaluation framework with a draft instrument for validating the structure of the Taiwanese EHR systems evaluation framework. According to the knowledge of “Triangulation research method” and both quantitative and qualitative approaches, the modified Delphi method was applied to refine the proposed instrument into practicable for real medical environment based on a quantitative approach. In addition, by calculating content validity index for items (I-CVI) and content validity index for scales (S-CVI), it also indicates the degree of consensus between and within questions in the proposed instrument. In short, an appropriate instrument for achieving its target was generated in this research
Alcohol consumption among adult males in urban area of Thanlyin Township, Yangon Region, Myanmar
Background: Alcohol consumption is a major cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide. It is frequently related to health and behavioural problems as well as socio-economic hardship. Therefore, this study was conducted to determine the prevalence and risk factors of alcohol consumption among adult males residing in urban area of Thanlyin Township, Yangon Region. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted among 380 adult males. Multi-stage random sampling was applied. Data entry and analysis was done using Stata 11.0 statistical package. Results: The prevalence of current alcohol drinking, ex-drinking and never drinking were 20.5%, 9.0% and 70.5%, respectively. There was a significant decreasing trend of alcohol consumption across the levels of age-group. Age, education status and practicing other health-risk behaviours such as smoking and betel chewing were detected as significant risk factors of alcohol consumption. Ever smokers and ever betel chewers were about 4 times more likely to be ever alcohol user compared to their counterparts even if age and education level were adjusted. By controlling smoking and betel chewing habits, 79.2% and 76.6% of existing prevalence of alcohol consumption among respondents would be reduced, respectively. Conclusions: There is an urgent need to curb the habit of alcohol consumption among adult males living in urban area, especially young adults. Alcohol and tobacco control policies in Myanmar should be strengthened or reinforced. Tobacco control program also needs to be intensified. Health education and health promotion activities should be enhanced in order to reduce alcohol consumption in the country.
Selecting the Honeywords from Existing User’s Passwords Using Improved Hashing and Salting Algorithm
Nowadays, hashing passwords become the most essential tool for various web applications for making login process. However, password hashing takes many times for processing and it has become easier for attackers to crack hashing passwords from legitimate users by using brute force attack. Brute force attack is one of the dangerous attacks for password hashing techniques. Therefore, the legitimate user accounts are stored the passwords with honeywords using honeywords generation algorithm in order to prevent from brute force attack. Honeywords generation method is to produce the fake or decoy password for deceiving the attackers. However, the existing honeywords generation algorithm meets the storage overhead problem. So, we are implementing the improved honeywords generation method which decreases the storage overhead problem and also it addresses the majority of the drawbacks of existing honeywords generation methods. Moreover, we store the password and honeywords into the database using a unique hashing algorithm with very low time complexity as most of the steps involved simple binary operations
