The objective of this research was to find out the Boerawa goat nutrition status based on material of feed, nutritional content, and feeding management used by Boerawa goat farmers in Lampung province. There were 50 farmers to interview coming from three districts of production centers (16 farmers from Pesawaran, 17 farmers from Pringsewu, and 17 farmers from Tanggamus). This research used qualitative approach with survey method, and data were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that feed to use were merely vegetative feed (leafs). These three districts of Boerawa goat production centers have abundant potentials of agricultural resources, however these resources were not yet optimized as feed materials for farmers. Even though suffice feeding frequency was properly administered by farmers, this did not fully meet the goat necessity of vegetation feed. In addition, the nutrition content from dry material and protein from feed used by farmers showed values below standard of dry material and crude protein required by Boerawa goat. The conclusion is that the nutrition status of feed material used by farmers in Boerawa goat production centers is under nutrition

This research aimed to: 1) know the effect of the USAge of the supplement of Ca and Mg organic in ration to the digestibility of dry matter and organic matter on goats; 2) know the best effect of the USAge of the supplement of Ca and Mg organic in ration to the digestibility of dry matter and organic matter on goats. This research was held in September until October 2012, located in the pen of Department of Animal Husbandry, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Lampung. The analysis of feedstuff and feces wes held in Laboratory of Animal's Feedstuff, Department of Animal Husbandry. This research used Randomized Block Design with three treatments and three replications. The body weights are as the replications. The treatments used are R0 = Bassal Ration, R1 = Bassal Ration + Organic Mineral (0,50% Ca, 0,04% Mg), R2 = Bassal Ration + Organic Mineral (1,00% Ca, 0,08% Mg). The data obtained was statistic tested to know the treatments effect to the variables observed by Variance Analysis. Then, it was continued by Least Significant Different (LSD) on significant level 5% and or 1%. The result of the research showes that; the supplement of Ca and Mg Organic Mineral is non significant (P>0,05) to the digestibility of dry matter and organic matter

The aims of the research were to study utilization of cassava waste through biological processing on rumen parameters and nutrient digestibility. The treatments was based on first years research. The treatment was used latin squere design 4x4.. Young cattle was used as material of this research. The treatments were arranged: R0: basal rations + 30% cassava waste (no treatment); R1 basal rations + 30% fermented cassava waste ( fermented by Aspergillus oryzae and prekursor urea 3 %); R2 : basal rations +30% fermented cassava waste ( fermented by Aspergillus oryzae and prekursor ammonium sulfat 1 %); R3 : basal rations + 15% fermented cassava waste ( fermented by Aspergillus oryzae and prekursor urea 3 %) + 15% fermented cassava waste ( fermented by Aspergillus oryzae and prekursor ammonium sulfat 1 %). The result showed that the treatments had no effect on rumen parameters and nutrient digestibility (dry matters and organic matters

This study was conducted in December 2014 in Tanjung Bintang District South Lampung Regency. This study aimed to determine the nutritional status of kacang goat based on the feedstuff consumed, crude protein content, and the management of feeding used by the kacang goat farmers in Tanjung Bintang District. This study used qualitative approach with survey method, then it was descriptively analyzed. Farmers interviewed came from six villages namely Jati Baru, Jati Indah, Trimulyo, Srikaton, Budilestari and Serdang. The result of this study showed the feedstuff mostly in the form of forage. Average dry matter consumption was 2.07 kg/goat/day, even the dry matter need was 0.61 kg/goat/day, and average protein consumption was 0.23 kg/goat/day, even the protein need was 0.07 kg/goat/day. Nutritional status of kacang goat in Tanjung Bintang district South Lampung Regency has fulfilled

Bumi Kedaton Zoo and Tourism Park is an effort of natural conservation to save animals threatened of extinction, and one of those animals is siamang (Hylobates syndactylus). The objective of this research was to find out behavior and drop in feed nutrition content for siamang by using focal animal sampling method and proximate analysis. Observations were conducted before the cages and in the kitchen where the feed weighting was conducted, so that it would not disturb the animal activities. The result showed that siamang daily behavior in the cage was dominated by locomotion activities; 43.5% and 41.18% for males and females respectively. There were 7 types of feed administered to siamang and muli banana had the highest nutrition content amongst these 7 types of feeds. The nutrition necessity fulfillment for siamang in the cage was not sufficient
