This paper presents an optimization method for the design of the layout of an autonomous underwater vehicles (AUV) fleet to minimize the drag force. The layout of the AUV fleet is defined by two nondimensional parameters. Firstly, three-dimensional computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations are performed on the fleets with different layout parameters and detailed information on the hydrodynamic forces and flow structures around the AUVs is obtained. Then, based on the CFD data, a back-propagation neural network (BPNN) method is used to describe the relationship between the layout parameters and the drag of the fleet. Finally, a genetic algorithm (GA) is chosen to obtain the optimal layout parameters which correspond to the minimum drag. The optimization results show that (1) the total drag of the AUV fleet can be reduced by 12% when the follower AUV is located directly behind the leader AUV and (2) the drag of the follower AUV can be reduced by 66% when it is by the side of the leader AUV

Objective: We aim to analyze the consumer health information seeking behavior to figure out its characteristics and influencing factors, and make further efforts to provide targeted recommendations for media managers to promote health communication via social media.Design/methodology/approach: Our custom model was derived from literature review, empirical research was tested by the use of questionnaire investigation, and finally the collected data was analyzed by SmartPLS, a tool of structural equation model.Findings: Gratification of health information and its platform had a positive effect on attitudes toward health information seeking behavior. Health information literacy was proved to have a significant influence on attitudes toward health information seeking behavior, subject norms and perceived behavioral control, respectively. Attitudes toward the health information seeking behavior and subject norms were proved to positively associate with health information seeking behavior intention. In addition, some demographic factors were found to associate with health information seeking behavior via social media such as age, gender, and profession.Originality/value: We constructed the seeking behavior model of health information from the perspective of sociology and psychology, empirically studied health information seeking behavior and its influencing factors via social media, and has laid a favorable foundation for the relevant departments about further health communication research.

Low-frequency vibration therapy enhances recovery in college football athletes after fatigue-induced exercise

Vibration therapy is known to help with muscle fatigue from daily activities. Research is ongoing, but early signs suggest it might be a promising tool for health promotion via faster recovery after streneous exercise. This randomized controlled trial examined the effects of low-frequency vibration therapy (LFVT) on recovery of lower back muscles after induced fatigue. Recovery-related parameters, including pressure pain threshold (PPT), visual analog scales (VAS) of perceived fatigue, sit-and-reach (SAR), and heart rate variability (HRV) were measured before the session of induced fatigue, immediately after receiving either the LFVT or the rest, and 24-hour follow-up period. Seventy participants were allocated to either LFVT group (received a 10-minute session of LFVT) or control group (rested under the same environment). Results showed that participants in LFVT group significantly improved VAS and PPT after intervention. The between-group comparison revealed that the improvement in the average heartbeat (AHB), VAS, SAR, and PPT were greater in LFVT group than in control group immediately after the treatment. Moreover, improvements in SAR and PPT were also greater in the LFVT group than in the control at 24-hour follow-up. The findings revealed that LFVT can be used as a recovery-health care method for football athletes

Objective: To explore the ability of users to identify the health information spread on WeChat platform, and then to discuss the utility of such information on them. Methods: Questionnaire survey and descriptive statistical methods were used to collect and analyze the data. The process of “get health related information, judge true or false, production related behavior” was used to design the survey problem, finally, the paper and network surveys were investigated in users. Results: The proportion of accurate recognition, ambiguous recognition, none recognition and none classification were 21.55%, 63.26%, 4.41%, 10.78% respectively. The average frequency of identification, transmission, guidance and none behavior of originally true health information were 52.00, 78.40, 45.20, 31.80 respectively, and originally false health information were 21.30, 27.70, 14.10, 5.50 respectively. Conclusions: Most WeChat users surveyed lack the ability to accurately identify the authenticity of health information, and improvement of citizens’ health literacy has long way to go. WeChat is an effective platform for the dissemination of health information, but also provides a fertile soil for the spread of false health information. Additionally, users are not aware of the problem of their ability to identify information, even if produced a false judgment of false health information, most of the active users will also lead this kind of information still widely spread

To promote the current development of medical data mining research, a quantitative statistics and qualitative analysis of the papers in the field of medical data mining technologies were made with the methodology of bibliometric and knowledge mapping, which were enlisted in the database of Web of Science analyzing the general situation of the papers about data mining from several aspects: period sequences, subject funds, countries and regions, core authors and research institutions, the hotspots and research frontiers. Our analysis exposed that the research of data mining in medical showed a multi-disciplinary integration of the development trend, but high-yield leading author group has not yet formed. It is important to note that scholars should raise awareness of clinical medical data mining as well as explore new research directions for further studying

Prognostic value of long noncoding RNA LINC00924 in lung adenocarcinoma and its regulatory effect on tumor progression

Purpose. Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) have been used in the study of tumor biomarkers in recent years. However, the prognostic role of lncRNA LINC00924 (LINC00924) in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) has not yet been concluded. Therefore, this study investigates the prognostic value of LINC00924 in LUAD and its regulatory effect on tumor progression. Patients and methods. The LUAD tissues and adjacent normal tissues of 128 subjects were extracted, and the expressions of LINC00924 and miR-196a-5p in tissues and cells were detected by RT-qPCR. The prognostic value of LINC00924 in LUAD patients was obtained by Kaplan-Meier analysis and multivariate Cox regression test. The cell counting kit-8 (CCK-8) and Transwell assay were used to detect the effect of overexpression LINC00924 on LUAD cells. Results. In LUAD tissues and cells, LINC00924 expression was down-regulated and miR-196a-5p expression was up-regulated compared with the normal control group. High expression of LINC00924 inhibited the proliferation level, migration ability and invasion situation of LUAD cells, which was more conducive to the survival and prognosis of LUAD patients. Bioinformatics studies indicated that overexpression of LINC00924 inhibited the development of LUAD by targeting miR-196a-5p, while miR-196a-5p mimic effectively weakened the inhibition.Conclusion. LINC00924 sponges of miR-196a-5p may be considered as a potential prognostic biomarker for LUAD
