    Noise in Genotype Selection Model

    We study the steady state properties of a genotype selection model in presence of correlated Gaussian white noise. The effect of the noise on the genotype selection model is discussed. It is found that correlated noise can break the balance of gene selection and induce the phase transition which can makes us select one type gene haploid from a gene group.Comment: 8 pages, 4 figure

    Current Reversals in a inhomogeneous system with asymmetric unbiased fluctuations

    We present a study of transport of a Brownian particle moving in periodic symmetric potential in the presence of asymmetric unbiased fluctuations. The particle is considered to move in a medium with periodic space dependent friction. By tuning the parameters of the system, the direction of current exhibit reversals, both as a function of temperature as well as the amplitude of rocking force. We found that the mutual interplay between the opposite driving factors is the necessary term for current reversals.Comment: 9 pages, 7 figure

    Central placenta previa with placenta percreta partially invading bladder: a case report

    Placenta previa, placenta accreta, increta and percreta are increasing day by day due to increased number of cesarean sections now days, but central placenta previa with placenta percreta invading bladder is a very rare obstetrical complication. A case of central placenta previa with placenta percreta partially invading bladder in woman who was G2P1L1 with 32+6 weeks of gestation and with history of previous cesarean section is presented in this manuscript. The patient was managed with intrapartum cesarean hysterectomy with bilateral ureter J stents and bladder repair following cesarean delivery of a preterm baby. Total estimated blood loss was 6000 mL. The patient was discharged on 28th December 2014 that is 29th day of admission with a healthy baby. The aim of this study is to bring awareness of such case and to discuss the risk factor, presentation, diagnosis, management and choice of anesthesia for the same

    Unmasking stem-specific broadly neutralizing epitopes by abolishing N-linked glycosylation sites for vaccine design

    Targeting highly conserved HA stem regions has been proposed as a useful strategy for designing universal influenza vaccines. The influenza virus HA stem region, consisting of a HA1 N-terminal part and full HA2 part, contains several potential sites for the addition of N-glycans. We expressed a series of recombinant HA (rHA) mutant proteins with deleted N-linked glycosylation sites in the HA1-stem and HA2-stem regions of H5N1 and pH1N1 viruses. Unmasking N-glycans in the HA2-stem region (rH5HA N484A and rH1HA N503A) did not affect the trimeric structure of HA. Immunizations using rH5HA N484A and rH1HA N503A elicited more potent neutralizing antibody titers against homologous, heterologous and heterosubtypic viruses. Unmasking the HA2-stem N-glycans of rH5HA N484A induced higher levels of stem-specific CR6261-like and FI6v3-like antibodies, improved the ability of stem-specific anti-fusion antibodies, enhanced H5 stem helix A epitope-specific B and T cell responses in splenocytes, and provided better protection against both homologous and heterosubtypic virus challenges. These findings suggest that HA2-stem N-glycan unmasking holds potential as a useful design strategy for developing more broadly protective influenza vaccines

    L’argumentation sur la titulature impériale dans la dynastie Ming au prisme de la « Théorie généralisée de l’argumentation »

    Le recours à la « Théorie généralisée de l’argumentation » cherche à dégager les règles et les structures de l’argumentation dans la controverse dite du « Grand Rituel » autour de la titulature impériale. Notre analyse montre que le Proposant et l’Opposant adhèrent tous deux à l’ancien système politique et aux traditions culturelles anciennes et se réfèrent aux classiques et à des événements historiques du passé afin de défendre leurs thèses. L’argumentation concernant cette question est démontrée via ces règles. En résumé, cet article montre que : 1) la Théorie généralisée de l’argumentation et sa méthode acceptent le pluralisme culturel (culture dominante incluse) ; 2) il est possible de décrire et d’évaluer des arguments en recourant à une interprétation socio-culturelle.By using the Generalized Argumentation Theory, this paper tries to reveal the rules and structures of the argumentation about the imperial title issue in the Great Ritual Controversy. Our analysis shows that both the protagonist and the antagonist follow ancient Chinese political system and cultural traditions, and appeal to ancient classics and historical events in order to defend their claims. With these rules, the argumentation about the issue is demonstrated. Finally, this paper shows that: 1) Generalized Argumentation Theory and its methods are tolerant of cultural pluralism (including mainstream culture); 2) it is feasible to describe and evaluate arguments through socio-cultural interpretation

    Physical-layer Security of Uplink mmWave Transmissions in Cellular V2X Networks

    In this paper, we investigate physical-layer security of the uplink millimeter wave communications for a cellular vehicle-to-everything (C-V2X) network comprised of a large number of base stations (BSs) and different categories of V2X nodes, including vehicles, pedestrians, and road side units. Considering the dynamic change and randomness of the topology of the C-V2X network, we model the roadways, the V2X nodes on each roadway, and the BSs by a Poisson line process, a 1D Poisson point process (PPP), and a 2D PPP, respectively. We propose two uplink association schemes for a typical vehicle, namely, the smallest-distance association (SDA) scheme and the largest-power association (LPA) scheme, and we establish a tractable analytical framework to comprehensively assess the security performance of the uplink transmission, by leveraging the stochastic geometry theory. Specifically, for each association scheme, we first obtain new expressions for the association probability of the typical vehicle, and then derive the overall connection outage probability and secrecy outage probability by calculating the Laplace transform of the aggregate interference power. Numerical results are presented to validate our theoretical analysis, and we also provide interesting insights into how the security performance is influenced by various system parameters, including the densities of V2X nodes and BSs. Moreover, we show that the LPA scheme outperforms the SDA scheme in terms of secrecy throughput

    Identification and pathogenicity of Aeromonas veronii isolated from sexually mature female Hypophthalmichthys molitrix

    An outbreak of bacterial septicemia in female silver carp *Hypophthalmichthys molitrix*, which caused significant death of the fish in the Yantian Reservoir, was investigated. The pathogen was isolated from diseased fish and identified as *Aeromonas veronii* utilizing biochemical characteristics and molecular methods analyses. An artificial infection experiment indicated that the strain caused 100% mortality of juvenile silver carp and mature female fish with eggs but no death of the mature male fish. Silver carp challenged with *A. veronii* showed similar clinical signs with naturally infected fish. The histopathological study revealed that *A. veronii* infection caused the increment of hemosiderin granules and the vacuole formation in tissues of the spleen and livers, as well as the collapse, deformation, and disintegration of egg cells. The ACP, AKP, and CAT enzyme activities in the serum of both naturally and artificially infected silver carp were decreased significantly with the severe infection. In this study, *A. veronii* was isolated and identified as the primary bacterial pathogen causing the mass death of sexually mature female silver carp with eggs in Yantian Reservoir
