    Investigation of Micro Porosity Sintered wick in Vapor Chamber for Fan Less Design

    Micro Porosity Sintered wick is made from metal injection molding processes, which provides a wick density with micro scale. It can keep more than 53 % working fluid inside the wick structure, and presents good pumping ability on working fluid transmission by fine infiltrated effect. Capillary pumping ability is the important factor in heat pipe design, and those general applications on wick structure are manufactured with groove type or screen type. Gravity affects capillary of these two types more than a sintered wick structure does, and mass heat transfer through vaporized working fluid determines the thermal performance of a vapor chamber. First of all, high density of porous wick supports high transmission ability of working fluid. The wick porosity is sintered in micro scale, which limits the bubble size while working fluid vaporizing on vapor section. Maximum heat transfer capacity increases dramatically as thermal resistance of wick decreases. This study on permeability design of wick structure is 0.5 - 0.7, especially permeability (R) = 0.5 can have the best performance, and its heat conductivity is 20 times to a heat pipe with diameter (Phi) = 10mm.     Quantum Oscillations in Magnetic Field Induced Antiferromagnetic Phase of Underdoped Cuprates : Application to Ortho-II YBa2Cu3O6.5

    Magnetic field induced antiferromagnetic phase of the underdoped cuprates is studied within the t-t'-J model. A magnetic field suppresses the pairing amplitude, which in turn may induce antiferromagnetism. We apply our theory to interpret the recently reported quantum oscillations in high magnetic field in ortho-II YBa2Cu3O6.5 and propose that the total hole density abstracted from the oscillation period is reduced by 50% due to the antiferromagnetism.Comment: 5 pages, 3 figure

    Dispersed Trading and the Prevention of Market Failure: The Case of the Copenhagen Stock Exchange

    With augmented demands on power grids resulting in longer and larger blackouts combined with heightened concerns of terrorist attacks, trading institutions and policy makers have widened their search for systems that avoid market failure during these disturbing events. We provide insight into this issue by examining trading behavior at the Copenhagen Stock Exchange during a major blackout. We find that although market quality declined, markets remained functional and some price discovery occurred during the blackout period suggesting that the NOREX structure of interlinked trading systems combined with widely dispersed trading locations may be a viable means of protection against market failure during massive power disruptions or terrorist attacks.Power failure; Fragmented markets; Market failure;
