As an alternative to component development, the case for improved drive-train configuration is argued. In particular, the use of torque-splitting gear trains is proposed as a practicable means of improving the effectiveness of helicopter main gearboxes

Christine Brooke-Rose's Thru is a strikingly provocative postmodernist text. Instead of examining how Thru deconstructs fiction through the literary and linguistic theory that it includes, this essay looks at how theory—specifically Roman Jakobson's diagram of communication—is altered within the context of fiction. The analysis considers the mechanisms through which criticism differentiates itself from reading and how Thru manages to expose such distinctions. I foreground the text's disrupted graphic surface in order to suggest that this may be the basis for the pragmatic reader to gain the advantage over the critic in achieving a productive view of this complex text

to evaluate the spelling area of an elementary school.
The criteria consists of specific statements indicating
desirable conditions and procedures in certain areas of the
elementary school program. SUch statements should furnish a
means for teachers to examine and evaluate the effectiveness
of their own work.
The Evaluative Criteria, an instrument by which a secondary
school can be evaluated through making a self-evaluation,
was developed by the Cooperative Study of Secondary-School
Standards in 19~0 and revised in 1950.
These criteria have been used extensively and successfully
throughout the United States. Because it has been
proved through use of the instrument that self-evaluation
leads to improvement, it seemed pertinent to develop similar
instrument by which an elementary school can be evaluated
The Fractured Memory of a Mind’s Eye
The work I create is informed by questioning reality/identity, the fractalizing planes
of existence our essence occupies, and the artifacts of memory experience navigating
through space time. While existing in this realm of oversaturated media and neon
glow, I question the effects of pervasive data systems overloading or programming the
mental software we possess. My work includes humor as a means of exploring these
conventions while also displaying psychedelic surrealist imagery to help break away
from the conscious prison this existence births our concept apparatuses within
