Preliminarno priopćenje o morfometrijskim razlikama između dviju populacija Podarcis muralis muralis (Laurenti, 1768) i Podarcis muralis maculiventris (Werner 1891) u Sloveniji

The aim of this preliminary study is to evaluate some differences between two populations of Podarcis muralis muralis and Podarcis muralis maculiventris living in Slovenia using some biometric and meristic characters. Forty-eight specimens from Žovnek (Central Slovenia, 46°16\u27 N, 15°10\u27 E) and 24 specimens from Lucija (Slovenian Istria, 45°30\u27 N, 13°36\u27 E) were included in a statistical analysis. The values of body dimensions of both sexes differ significantly between the two localities. Specimens from Lucija are bigger with a longer pileus. According to the results of this preliminary study on some characters of the external morphology, the classification of Slovenian populations of wall lizard into two subspecies seems justified.Cilj ove preliminarne studije bila je procjena nekih razlika među dvjema populacijama Podarcis muralis muralis i Podarcis muralis maculiventris u Sloveniji koristeći neke biometričke i numeričke značajke. U statističku analizu je uključeno 48 primjeraka iz Žovneka (središnja Slovenija, 46°16\u27 N, 15°10\u27 E) i 24 primjerka iz Lucije (slovenski dio Istre, 45°30\u27 N, 13°36\u27 E). Vrijednosti dimenzija tijela oba spola u ta dva lokaliteta značajno se razlikuju. Primjerci iz Lucije su veći i s dužim pileusom. Prema rezultatima ove preliminarne studije o nekim značajkama vanjske morfologije čini se opravdanom klasifikacija slovenskih populacija krške gušterice u dvije podvrste

Es compara la mida de l'ou de la merla entre hàbitats urbans i rurals a Eslovènia. En general, les dimensions de l'ou van ser similars a les dades d'altres treballs. No es va trobar variació significant en la llargada, amplada i volum dels ous entre els hàbitats urbans i rurals. No obstant això, la forma de l'ou va diferir de manera significativa entre localitats: a l'hàbitat rural la longitud i amplada de l'ou va tendir a créixer conjuntament mentre que això no va ocórrer a l'hàbitat urbà. Addicionalment, la forma de l'ou es va correlacionar negativament i significativa amb la longitud de l'ou en àrees urbanes però no a les rurals

Dynamic Anthropometric Characteristics of Pedestrians in Case of Car Collision

The paper gives an overview of the specific features of anthropometric characteristics of humans – pedestrians in case of car accidents involving pedestrians and cars. Here, special attention has been paid to the configuration of the human body while moving, which is in turn related to the initial conditions of a collision. Special part of biomechanics in humans refers to their moving, where human’s walk has a specific posture as a mechanical phenomenon. Based on the carried out analysis the need has been observed for a classification of anthropologic variables by means of which the dynamic inertia moments of a walking human can be calculated, as well as the human, who hit by a car in a traffic accident flies along a production curvilinear path. With the development of ergonomics, and the accompanying increased application of anthropometry, the static anthropometry was abandoned, since the humans are considered highly variable in their dimensions, which is extremely importantfor the dynamic analysis of the human body posture in the collision process

Funktionaler Analphabetismus in Österreich

Diese Diplomarbeit geht der Frage nach, welche möglichen Maßnahmen es gibt, um Analphabetismus bei Kindern und Jugendlichen in Österreich präventiv entgegenzuwirken. Dabei werden vor allem die Handlungsfelder Schule, Kindergarten und Familie genauer untersucht. Die Literaturrecherche ergab, dass es besonders zu dem Thema „family literacy“ wenig deutschsprachige Literatur gibt, während es in den USA sogar eine eigene Forschung dazu gibt und man schon seit längerem weiß, wie bedeutsam die Einbeziehung der ganzen Familie beim Schriftspracherwerb des Kindes ist. Weiters werden nicht nur theoretische Lösungsvorschläge sondern auch Anregungen für deren praktische Umsetzung gegeben und im Weiteren wird auf verschiedene schulische und außerschulische „family literacy“-Projekte eingegangen. Alle diese Projekte haben familienorientierte Literacy-Tätigkeiten zum Ziel. Die vorliegende Arbeit bietet Anregungen dafür, eine bereits eingeleitete Diskussion über Analphabetismus bei Jugendlichen in Österreich weiter anzutreiben und mit neuen Akzenten zu versehen.This diploma thesis tries to give answers to the question which preventive measures can be taken to oppose children’s and young people’s illiteracy in Austria. The process includes a thorough review of activities in school, in kindergarten and the family. The literary research revealed that there is hardly any literature available in German especially on the topic “family literacy”, whereas in the USA particular research work has been carried out realising how important the integration of the whole family is for language and literacy acquisition. In addition not only theoretical proposals of solutions are made but also ideas how to put them into practice are given including the examination of various family literacy projects at school and extracurricular. All these projects aim at family orientated literacy activities. This diploma thesis should offer new stimulation to continue the discussion about youth illiteracy in Austria which has already started and to emphasize new features

Kommunikation in Institutionen mit besonderem Augenmerk auf die Schule

Diese Diplomarbeit umfasst das Thema Kommunikation in Institutionen und behandelt im Besonderen die Institution Schule. Es wird der Frage nachgegangen, wie sich zentrale Aspekte von Kommunikationsprozessen darstellen und welche Maßnahmen und Lösungsansätze von Experten vorgeschlagen werden können, um einem latent in institutionellen Strukturen postulierten Gewaltpotenzial entgegenzuwirken und gelingende Kommunikation zu fördern. Im Zuge dieser Fragestellung ergaben sich im ersten Teil der Arbeit vier Schwerpunkte: 1. dem Institutionenbegriff 2. Kommunikation in Institutionen und in der Gesellschaft 3. Kommunikation in der Schule 4. Mediation als Kommunikationsform Im zweiten Teil der Arbeit wurden Schüler und Lehrer, die zu Mediatoren ausgebildet wurden, interviewt. Durch die Auswertung (Mayring 2000) der leitfadengestützten Experteninterviews wurde der aktuelle Stand bezüglich Kommunikation in der Institution Schule erforscht. Die Mediation als Kommunikationsform hat in dieser Studie nicht die Wirkkraft gezeigt, die man ihr oftmals zuschreibt, denn Macht und Angst wurden in der Kommunikation zwischen Lehrern und Schülern vielfach erwähnt. Daher kann festgehalten werden, dass Mediation den Zwangscharakter und die Autoritätsformen nicht abstellen kann. Außerdem sind die Aufgaben der Lehrer in der Mediation „Standardaufgaben“, die ohnehin zu ihrem pädagogischen Aufgabenbereich gehören. Von den befragten Lehrern und Schülern wird vor allem Zeit gefordert. Zeit für Beratung durch Lehrer oder Zeit für Kommunikationsstunden werden vorgeschlagen. Schule soll als sozialer Ort erfahrbar sein, das heißt, Gespräche im Unterricht sollten erlaubt sein und aufkommende Themen und Konflikte diskutiert werden können.This diploma thesis comprises the topic communication in institutions and particularly in the institution school. It raises the question how central aspects of communication processes are presented and which solutions are suggested by experts to promote successful communication.In the course of dealing with the problem, four focal themes arose in the first part: 1. the term institution 2. communication in institutions and society 3. communication in school 4. mediation as a kind of communication In the second part, students and teachers who were trained to become mediators were interviewed. The analysis of these qualitative-empirical interviews (Mayring 2000) shows the status quo concerning communication in the institution school. In this study, mediation does not have the effect, which is often ascribed to it, as a means of communication, because power and fear in the communication between teachers and students were frequently mentioned. Therefore it can be concluded that mediation cannot stop hierarchical and authoritarian structures. Moreover, the tasks of teachers in mediation are “standard tasks” which are part of their pedagogic field of duties. For the children and the teachers interviewed, there is apparent need to introduce a greater variety of communication. School should be experienced as a social place, which means that talks during lessons must be allowed and arising topics and conflicts should be discussed
