Contribution to the knowledge of the Jewel Beetles of Albania (Coleoptera: Buprestidae).

Es wird über insgesamt 48 Arten und Unterarten von Albanien, die zu 18 Gattungen und 8 Unterfamilien der Familie Buprestidae gehören, berichtet. Die 15 für die Fauna des Landes neuen Taxa sind mit einem Sternchen markiert. Mit den gesammelten neuen Arten erhöht sich die Zahl der Buprestiden, die aus Albanien bekannt sind, auf 111. Angefügt ist eine zoogeographische Analyse aller bekannten albanischen Buprestiden. Das Überwiegen von mediterranen Arten zeigt den starken Einfluß der Mittelmeerfauna auf die Zusammensetzung der Buprestidenfauna Albaniens.StichwörterColeoptera, Buprestidae, Albania, Mediterranean, Faunistics, Zoogeography.A total number of 48 species and subspecies belonging to 18 genera and 8 subfamilies of Buprestidae are reported from Albania. 15 taxa marked by asterisk in the text are new for the country's fauna. Including the new records, the number of jewel beetles known from the Albanian territory has increased to 111. The new localities for the reported buprestids are listed. A zoogeographical analysis based on all known Albanian jewel beetles is presented. A checklist and areography of the longhorn beetles (Coleoptera, Cerambycidae) of Pirin Mountains, Bulgaria

The longhorn beetles fauna of Pirin Mountains, Bulgaria, was studied, based on literature data and original material. As a result, 100 taxa from five subfamilies are listed for the area, as follows: Prioninae (7 taxa), Lepturinae (31 taxa), Spondylidinae (9 taxa), Cerambycinae (28 taxa) and Lamiinae (25 taxa).This study presents two new records for Pirin Mts. (Oxymirus cursor and Tetropium fuscum fuscum) and new localities or additional information for 13 cerambycid taxa (species and subspecies). The 100 longhorn beetle taxa belong to 17 zoogeographical categories and eight complexes. The European complex occupies a dominant position (34%), followed by those from Palaearctic (17%), Eurosiberian (15%), Mediterranean (15%), European-Iranoturanian (9%), Balkan endemic (5%) and Holarctic (4%) complexes

New data on the taxonomy, distribution and host plants of subfamily Chrysochroinae (Coleoptera: Buprestidae) in Bulgaria

Data about distribution and host plants of 19 species-group taxa from subfamily Chrysochroinae are presented. In this study, fourth known locality in Balkan Peninsula of Sphenoptera (Sphenoptera) cuprina cuprina (wery rare taxon in this region) was established. Distinguishing characters of S. (Chilostetha) laportei and S. (Ch.) substriata allowing their better identification are given as well

The European complex occupies a dominant position (39.1%), followed by the Palaearctic (24.2%), Mediterranean (14.1%), Eurosiberian (10.2%), European- Iranoturanian (6.3%), Endemic (3.9%), and Cosmopolitan and Holarctic (2.3%) complexes. The Park has four endemic and one subendemic taxa
