    GEOTOURISM IN THE NIÅ AVA RIVER MIDSTREAM VALLEY, SOUTHEASTERN SERBIA ā€“ CURRENT STATE AND ISSUES OF FUTURE DEVELOPMENT

    The region of East Ā and Southeast Serbia, has the biggest collection of geoheritage sites in the Republic of Serbia. In the southeastern part of Serbia, following various mineralogical compositions of the rocks, the NiÅ”ava river has carved a composite valley. This is an area of extraordinary nature capacity because of large number of natural rarities and phenomena that have great possibilities for geotourism development. Despite exceptional predispositions in terms of the value of geological heritage, geosites of this area are still unknown to a wider audience. Aim of this paper is to analyze current state of geotourism and to highlight the values of geosites in Srednje PoniÅ”avlje using the evaluating model as well to evaluate its quality and give the assessment of geotourism development success. Using GAM model, 7 geosites have been analyzed, the ones with extraordinary geological/geomorphological and hydrological features for geotourism development

    Stavovi studenata prema primjeni mobilne proŔirene stvarnosti u visokom obrazovanju

    Virtual (VR) and augmented reality (AR) have emerged from the framework of academic and industrial laboratories and have acquired global attention. Currently, the focus shifted from the technologies themselves to finding adequate teaching and learning applications. In this paper, the students\u27 attitudes toward the application of mobile AR (MAR) in higher education (HE) were researched (with a focus on augmented textbooks). The results showed that the students have a mostly positive attitude, and it is concluded that there was no statistically significant difference between the STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) and non-STEM students\u27 opinions regarding this topic. Based on the results, the further research and integration of this technology into HE settings can be suggested.Virtualna i proÅ”irena stvarnost izaÅ”le su iz okvira akademskih i industrijskih laboratorija i stekle su globalnu pozornost. Trenutačno se fokus pomaknuo sa samih tehnologija prema pronalaženju odgovarajuće primjene u poučavanju i učenju. U ovom radu istraživani su stavovi studenata o primjeni mobilne proÅ”irene stvarnosti u visokom obrazovanju (s naglaskom na augmentiranim udžbenicima). Rezultati su pokazali da studenti imaju uglavnom pozitivan stav, a zaključeno je i da ne postoji statistički značajna razlika u miÅ”ljenju između STEM (znanost, tehnologija, inženjerstvo i matematika) i ne-STEM studenata o ovoj temi. Na temelju rezultata istraživanja mogu se predložiti daljnja istraživanja i integracija ove tehnologije u postavke visokog obrazovanja

    THE EVALUATION OF THE ROLE OF TEACHING AIDS IN STIMULATING PUPILSā€™ ACTIVATION IN GEOGRAPHY

    This paper discusses the methodological procedures of application of teaching aids through the subjects: World around us, Nature and Society and Geography, as well as an adequate choice of teaching resources that encourage students to earn a permanent knowledge. The idea is to use teaching aids in active teaching and to turn it into the practical use of the material, in order to efficiently adopt the fundamental knowledge about the nature of science in the classroom teaching. The procedures are identified, which are especially important from the point of maximum achievements in teaching the use of teaching aids, and especially significant for subjects the World around us, Nature and Society and Geography. The aim of this study was to determine the importance of teaching aids in active teaching, as well as whether the student becomes mentally active participant in the educational process using teaching aids. The study involved class teachers (154) who evaluated the importance of teaching resources for permanent adoption of knowledge of students. In addition, the survey was analyzed and different types of learning resources in terms of their values in the activation of thinking in students were analyzed as well. This survey has confirmed the hypothesis about the importance of teaching aids for thoughtful activation of the students
