The article discusses the peculiarities of morpheme and syllable structure of a word in typologically different languages, English and Chinese. It is important to determine the most typical morpheme structures root, suffixal, prefixal and prefixal-suffixal and their specific implementations in the form of certain morpheme models. Moreover, the article highlights the significance of studying morpheme structure for differentiation of the main semiological classes of words content words, pronominal words and function words, parts of speech and among them nouns and verbs, which form the universality of noun-verb distinction. In addition, the index of grammaticality is defined as well as the degree of word's synthesis. Owing to systematicity of language and correlation of its Content plane and Expression plane, classes of words are distinguished not only at the morphological level, but also at the phonological level. In this respect, there is a major difference between inventory and typology of sound means in typologically different languages. The article traces the main tendencies of word morpheme and syllable correlation in English and Chinese. In addition, it proves the significance of establishing the degree of lexicality/grammaticality of morpheme, word and language analyzing interrelation of the morphological and phonological levels' units

The intention of this paper is to raise and study some questions connected with shaping leadership skills in graduate teachers. The results of the survey showed how well the teacher graduates acquired both hard and soft skills that will enable them to become educational leaders and which they are called upon to form in schoolchildren. The authors looked into the factors which contribute to the establishment and development of a new type of educational leaders that are able to make creative, theoretical, and practical contributions in the innovative processes in education. The study reveals that graduates have a fairly clear idea of the essence of leadership. They understand leadership not only as a process of formal management of social communities but also as a high level of professionalism. The image of a teacher-leader the students shaped has the potential of a researcher and a knowledge translator. The majority of students believe that a modern teacher should implement a learner-centered approach, helping them to deal with the challenges and developing their personalities. On the whole, students are aware of the current trends in education and its main hardships. Professional qualities and skills together with the personal qualities are the constituents of a leader in education. © 2018, Springer International Publishing AG, part of Springer Nature

In this connection, it’s important to understand that communicative intentions and their perception by an addressee are determined by a set of social, national and cultural norms adopted by the business community. The paper aims to compare linguistic means serving to express the category of politeness in written business communication in the German and French languages. The research material includes different types of business letters. The analysis indicates that the representatives of the two European cultures equally use more polite generalized forms in written business communication, even if in private communication, the communicants use informal ways of address.Настоящая статья посвящена лингвистическому исследованию категории вежливости как залогу успешной письменной деловой коммуникации.
