Urban Noise Modelling in Boka Kotorska Bay
Traffic is the most significant noise source in urban areas. The village of Kamenari in Boka Kotorska Bay is a site where, in a relatively small area, road traffic and sea (ferry) traffic take place at the same time. Due to the specificity of the location, i.e. very rare synergy of sound effects of road and sea traffic in the urban area, as well as the expressed need for assessment of noise level in a simple and quick way, a research was conducted, using empirical methods and statistical analysis methods, which led to the creation of acoustic model for the assessment of equivalent noise level (Leq). The developed model for noise assessment in the Village of Kamenari in Boka Kotorska Bay quite realistically provides data on possible noise levels at the observed site, with very little deviations in relation to empirically obtained values.</p
Tourism in the Digital Age: E-booking Perspective
Digitization in the tourism sector beside hospitality information systems application as its integral part has also led to the application of on-line booking systems, which enable the booking of the desired tourist arrangement via the Internet. Consequently, the emergence of the e-booking concept has made it possible reducing administrative and operational costs, since the e-booking system is also used on smartphones with appropriate applicative support. This paper aims to point out the importance of e-booking in the digital age of tourism, especially from monitoring the most common destinations, customer preferences and performing predictive analytics by collecting large amounts of data. In this way, the implementation of big data and cloud computing concept enhances tourism services, since it is possible to analyse destination history and tourist potential of the client via the Internet.

Mechanism of complex formation between [AuCl4] ā and L-methionine
The kinetics of the reaction between tetrachloroaurate(III) ion and L-methionine has been studied spectrophotometrically by using stopped-flow technique in 0.1 M HClO4 as the function of temperature. The fast reaction was ascribed to the formation of short living square-planar [AuCl2Met]+ complex ion, that was reduced in the slower reaction step. The activation parameters (āHā and āSā ) for complex formation were determined. The entropy of activation was compatible with an associative reaction mechanismPhysical chemistry 2006 : 8th international conference on fundamental and applied aspects of physical chemistry; Belgrade (Serbia); 26-29 September 200
Modeling the Effects of Osmotic Dehydration Pretreatment Parameters and Lyophilization Kinetics on Mass Transfer and Selected Nutritive Parameters of Peaches
The effects of the osmodehydration pretreatment parameters on successive lyophilization mass transfer kinetics of the peaches, dehydrated in the combined dehydration process, were investigated and mathematically modelled. The obtained results showed the statistically significant effect of osmotic dehydration pretreatment and its parameters on the final dry matter content and water activity values of the dehydrated peaches. The maximum dry matter content and minimal water activity values of dehydrated peach samples were 84.60 % and 0.423, respectively, produced in osmodehydration pretreatment in molasses of 80 % concentration, at 50Ā Ā°C, during a 5-hour process and subsequent 6-hour lyophilization. With the increase of all osmodehydration pretreatment parameters it is possible to reduce the duration of the lyophilization process, reducing the high energy demand of the dehydration method (lyophilization) and substituting it with low energy demanding dehydration method (osmodehydration) without compromising the quality of the final product, regarding the dry matter content and water activity values. Mathematical models describing the effect of the duration of the lyophilization on the dry matter content and water activity values of the fresh and dehydrated peaches were developed. They showed a good correlation between calculated and experimental values, allowing a good prediction of the investigated responses. In the combined method, protein, sugar, K and Fe content of the dehydrated peach samples were enriched and further enhanced in prolonged lyophilization stages
Spectrophotometric and uplc study of reaction between [AuCl4] - and quercetin
The equilibrium and kinetics of the reaction between tetrachloroaurate(III) ion (AuCl4 - ) and quercetin in 0.1 M HClO4 were studied spectrophotometrically. The fast and the slow reaction steps were distinguished in the reaction mechanism, depending on the ratio of AuCl4 - and quercetin concentration. The stoichiometry of reaction, determined by molar ratio and Jobbās methods, was 1:1. The kinetics of complex formation was followed under the pseudo-first order conditions by measuring the absorbance at 294 nm vs. time as the function of quercetin concentration in 5 ā 15 fold excess.Physical chemistry 2008 : 9th international conference on fundamental and applied aspects of physical chemistry; Belgrade (Serbia); 24-28 September 200
Razvoj proizvodnje olova i plemenitih metala u centralnoj Aziji
There were several rich deposits of polymetal ores of non-ferrous and
precious metals in the region of Imperial Russia and the Soviet Union.
Metallurgical production of these metals was developed even a thousand years
ago and was in the top of the world at the beginning of the fourth quarter of the
twentieth century.
The disintegration of the Soviet Union and the change of government structures
caused a reduction of metallurgical production, but there are all conditions to
intensify and increase the production of non-ferrous and precious metals in
Russia and other former Soviet republics, which are now middle-asian countries.
Ninety years of mining and metallurgy in TrepÄa: Sever conglomerate: Part II
Present company TrepÄa-Sever is formed by foreigners after the bombing of Serbia and Montenegro in 1999, and it is a part of former TrepÄa Conglomerate located in northern part of Kosovo and Metohija, namely in three municpalities: North Kosovska Mitrovica, ZveÄan and LeposaviÄ. Main office of TrepÄa Conglomerate was always in ZveÄan, flotation of lead-zinc ore (in the period of 1930-1985), lead smelting and refining plants (founded in 1939), laboratory, Institute, electromechanical workshops and other ancillary services. In LeposaviÄ flotation, ores of Kopaonik mines are processed, while financial and commercial services are located in the North Kosovska Mitrovica
Gender - specific differences in perception of menu labelling, witnessed among Hospitality Management students
Since nutrition labelling is obligatory for all packed food circulating across the European Union (EU), out-eating people demand, ever more often, to be provided with proper nutrition information on food they are eating through the restaurant menu. Given that, at present, no EU laws and regulations mandate nutritional menu labelling, this study aimed to explore a possible relationship between the perception of the need for menu and packed food labelling in a group of Hospitality Management students (n=324; out of which 84 men and 240 women). To that end, a comprehensive three-section questionnaire comprising demographic data, the perception of the need for menu labelling and questions about packed food labelling was developed. The perception of the need for menu labelling was assessed using a five-point Likert scale, the answers thereby scoring from 1 (strongly disagree) to 5 (fully agree). The students of both genders consider menu-delivered nutritional information important (3.59Ā±0.95) for making healthier food choices (3.96Ā±0.98) and achieving better caloric intake control (3.81Ā±1.07). Health impact of menu labelling is more appreciated by female as compared to male students. Students did not perceive menu labelling as a significant cost for the restaurant management (2.67Ā±1.17). The results confirmed that in students of both genders there exists a significant correlation between their habit of reading nutrition labels and a positive perception of menu labelling (p=0.001), the perception of menu labelling health impact (p<0.001) and the perception of menu labelling as a means to an end of better energy intake control (p<0.001). However, when it comes to energy value labelling, a significant correlation was seen solely among female students. The results of multiple regression analysis confirmed that, unlike male students, female students perceive food labelling as a strong predictor of menu labelling intention (nutrition label reading habit, Ī²=0.17; p=0.008; energy value label reading habit, Ī² =0.23; p<0.001.
These findings suggest that hospitality managers could act as valuable promoters of this innovative foodservice approach
