A threshold secure data sharing scheme for federated clouds

Cloud computing allows users to view computing in a new direction, as it uses the existing technologies to provide better IT services at low-cost. To offer high QOS to customers according SLA, cloud services broker or cloud service provider uses individual cloud providers that work collaboratively to form a federation of clouds. It is required in applications like Real-time online interactive applications, weather research and forecasting etc., in which the data and applications are complex and distributed. In these applications secret data should be shared, so secure data sharing mechanism is required in Federated clouds to reduce the risk of data intrusion, the loss of service availability and to ensure data integrity. So In this paper we have proposed zero knowledge data sharing scheme where Trusted Cloud Authority (TCA) will control federated clouds for data sharing where the secret to be exchanged for computation is encrypted and retrieved by individual cloud at the end. Our scheme is based on the difficulty of solving the Discrete Logarithm problem (DLOG) in a finite abelian group of large prime order which is NP-Hard. So our proposed scheme provides data integrity in transit, data availability when one of host providers are not available during the computation.Comment: 8 pages, 3 Figures, International Journal of Research in Computer Science 2012. arXiv admin note: text overlap with arXiv:1003.3920 by other author

Estimation of the Water Balance Using Observed Soil Water in the Nebraska Sandhills

Analyzing the dynamic hydrologic conditions of the Sandhills is critical for water and range management, sustainability of the Sandhills ecosystem as well as for dune stability. There are complex models available to quantify both surface and subsurface hydrological processes. However, we present in this study an application of a relatively simple model to arrive at best estimates of the water balance components. Using the Thornthwaite-Mather (TM) model, water balance components were estimated for 4 Automated Weather Data Network (AWDN) weather monitoring stations. Estimated averages of the water balance components suggested that mean annual precipitation of these four sites was only about 420 mm but water loss through plant evapotranspiration (ET) was 861 mm, with PET of about 1214 mm. Our investigation shows that there was surplus of water between December and March and a deficit occurs at the start of the growing season in May and extends through senescence in September-October. This study also suggests that the High Plains aquifer possibly met the plant water requirement during this deficit period as well as during the soil water extraction period, from May through September

FORMULATION AND EVALUATION OF STABILIZED EPROSARTAN NANOSUSPENSION

Objective: The objective of the current study is to enhance the solubility of Eprosartan mesylate a BCS Class II drug by employing the nanoprecipitation technique. Methods: Polymeric nanoparticles of Eprosartan mesylate were prepared by precipitation technique with various polymers like PVP K30, HPMC K15M, and Eudragit L100 in various ratios. The incompatibility issues which may arise between the drug and polymers were tested by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The formed nanosuspensions were evaluated for various parameters like particle size, zeta potential, drug content, and dissolution testing. Results: Among all the nanosuspension formulations, E12 formulation prepared with Eudragit L 100 showed better evaluation characteristics. SEM and DSC analysis showed no major interactions with the excipients. The maximum drug release was showed at 12h. The formulation E12 showed the particle size of 81.5±5.5 nm and zeta potential of-55.1mv. Conclusion: The nano-precipitation method improved the dissolution as well as the bioavailability of Eprosartan mesylate nanosuspension

Closure to Estimation of the Water Balance Using Observed Soil Water in the Nebraska Sandhills

We are thankful to Szilagyi [2010] for providing us an opportunity to discuss the important points of our paper [Sridhar and Hubbard, 2010]. We demonstrated a seasonal water balance assessment using the Modified Thornthwaite-Mather (TM) model in the Nebraska Sandhills. We computed the water budget for a few representative weather monitoring stations located in the Sandhills using the high resolution soil moisture data to assess the storage. In our water balance analysis, soil moisture storage is determined based on observed soil moisture and actual evapotranspiration, ETact was computed for each month using the change in storage in soil water and precipitation. If the change in storage is positive based on our observed soil moisture, we considered two scenarios and the least of the two is considered for computing actual ET

Introduction of fibre glass "Teppa" as a possible substitute for catamaran for fishing in the inshore waters of Andhra Pradesh

    Get PDF
Catamaran is made of 2-3 light weight wooden logs tied together and is generally operated manually by one person for fishing in the near shore waters using cast net, gill net, and occasionally hooks and line. Recently Teppa made of fiberglass having facility to use outboard motor has been introduced to over come the difficulties of catamarans. Monitoring of the operation of these crafts is being continued to understand the efficiency of this gear over the wooden catamaran

Core-modified octaphyrins: syntheses and anion-binding properties

    Get PDF
In this paper, a brief review of the syntheses, characterization and anion-binding properties of core-modified octaphyrins is presented. It has been shown that the core-modified octaphyrins exhibit aromaticity both in solution and in solid state, confirming the validity of the (4n + 2) Huckel rule for larger π-electron systems. Solid-state binding characteristics of TFA anions of two core-modified octaphyrins are also described

    Jellyfish as an export commodity

Recently, jellyfish blooms have been reported with increased frequency from several parts of the world and it has been suggested that this phenomenon might be related to over-fishing and other human activities that are driving marine ecosystems off balance. It has contributed to the formulation of the “fishing down the food chain” hypothesis, which is based on the assumption that the reduction in large species marine predator populations is promoting the growth of organisms from lower levels of the food chain. Rising sea temperature is also considered as a reason for the occurrence of jellyfish fishery

A SURVEY ON CONTROLLING SPEED OF DIRECT TORQUE CONTROL BASED BRUSHLESS DC MOTOR

In this work, an examination on position sensor less immediate torque control of BLDC Motor with backhanded flux control have been studied utilizing two level, six switch Voltage Source Inverter (VSI). By embracing the aberrant flux control in direct torque control, the stator flux can be adequately controlled in the steady torque locale. This plan is adjusted to three stage conduction method of VSI. Most extreme torque proficiency can be acquired in this technique since the torque is evaluated in the dq reference outline. In direct torque with aberrant flux control of BLDC in three stage conduction mode, the substitution torque swell can be minimized and additionally torque swell can be viably diminished. Since the plan is position sensor less, the electrical rotor position is evaluated utilizing stator winding inductance, stationary reference outline streams and flux linkages. The voltage vector choice is set up in the turn upward table so that quick torque reaction is conceivable. Since the impartial purpose of the engine is not accessible, ordinary 2×3 framework is supplanted by 2×2 Park's and Clarke's changes for the adjusted frameworks. The trial results are approved in MATLAB/SIMULINK

In recent times there is a steep increase in the exploitation of prawn seed in order to cater to the needs of prawn fanners along the Andhra Pradesh coast. There is demand mostly for seed P. monodon by the prawn farmers of this state. There are no official or reliable estimates of the total extent of prawn farms in Andhra Pradesh
