An Architectural Solution of Assistance e-Services for Diabetes Diet
The aim of this paper is to outline the requirements and main architecture for a useful tool for determining the nutrition facts of food for people having Type 2 Diabetes. This diabetes is used only to establish the target audience, a “mass of people†having, maybe, to less in common regarding the computer usage skills. The characteristics of the target audience (huge number, diversity of habits and behaviors, computer usage skills) requires a solution based on web services delivered at least partly as a standalone/ portable application, build from Web services and provided with means for domain knowledge dissemination and usage.Software Architecture, Knowledge Management, SIK, Business Rules, Type 2 Diabetes
BENEFITS OF USING SOFTWARE WITH SIK COMPLIANT ARCHITECTURE IN CLOUD
The aim of this paper is to investigate the main benefits that can be obtained by using a SIK (software inherited knowledge) compliant architecture for cloud services and support software used to build, administer and maintaining the cloud. It introduces the basic building blocks for cloud computing together with the main categories of cloud services. For the SIK architecture, shown in connection with a semantic-web application architecture, are introduced the main functionalities. The paper outlines then the main benefits different categories of users may have from both cloud and SIK compliant architecture for the cloud services delivered onto, for extensive knowledge management, and for creating the base for semantic-web for the modeled domain, the software oeration and usage, and automated administrative tasks for the cloud.software inherited knowledge, SIK, cloud-computing, knowledge management
THE ANALYSIS OF THE ECONOMIC GROWTH CAPACITY IN THE ROMANIAN CLOTHING INDUSTRY
The paper highlights the possibility of analysing the economic growth to a microeconomic level by
personalizing it through an empirical study on the Romanian clothing industry. The integrated approach to
performance in this study starts from the condition that it can be supported by the company's profit. The model
proposed for the analysis also allows the analysis of the factors that influence the economic growth. The results of the
empirical study show that the analysed company does not register sustainable economic growth due to the economic
growth rate, which, during some periods, presents negative values
Molecular detection of Neospora caninum in slaughtered goat kids from Romania
Abstract. Although studies have been reported on Neospora caninum from goats, no study regarding N. caninum infection in goat kids was performed in Romania. The objective of this study was to determine the prevalence of N. caninum in goat kid tissues (diaphragm) by PCR. Diaphragm tissues were collected from 181 slaughtered goat kids, from 7 counties from center and north-west of Romania. All tissues were tested by PCR in order to identify N. caninum DNA. In two (1.1%) of the samples, collected from Alba and Hunedoara county, we found N. caninum DNA. The results obtained in this study have shown the presence of N. caninum in small ruminants. To our knowledge this is the first report about molecular prevalence of N. caninum in goat kids in Romania
PROFIT AND LOSS ACCOUNT – SYNTHETIC EXPRESSION OF ABSOLUTE RETURN
This study has as main objective the presentation of the current state of knowledge regarding the profit and loss
account as part of the financial statements which express in absolute value the profitability of companies and the empirical
analysis of these concepts based on the information submitted by OMV Petrom between 2011 and 2015.
Thus, in the first part we present several approaches from the specialized literature regarding the aspects
mentioned above.
The second part follows a vertical and horizontal analysis of key indicators used for measuring the absolute
return. For the horizontal analysis we pursued the evolution in time of the following indicators: Gross Margin, Earnings
Before Interest and Taxes (EBIT), Financial Result, Gross and Net Result. The vertical analysis aimed to explain the
formation of the Gross Result via EBIT (which was also analyzed through the Gross Margin and other specific elements)
and of the Financial Result (which was also analyzed through the different types of financial income and expenses).
The results of the study revealed problems of profitability in the years 2014 and 2015 which, in our opinion, can
be attributed to poor management of the commercial activity, exploration activity (research and development), distribution
and financial activity
Clinical and management aspects of the idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura
Catedra Hematologie şi Oncologie a U.S.M.F. „N. Testemiţanu”
(şeful catedrei – prof. univ., dr.hab.şt.med. I. Corcimaru),
IMSP Institutul Oncologic (director – prof., dr.hab.şt.med. V. Cernat)The aspects of the clinical evolution, diagnosis and treatment of the idiopathic
thrombocytopenic purpura were studied in 50 patients. It has been established that the disease
developed mostly in young females. The hemorrhagic syndrome had the microcirculatory
petechial-echymotic pattern. Although the direct clinico-hematologic response to the treatment
with corticosteroid hormones was registered in 86% of patients, in all cases the platelets count
decreased within the next 3 – 5 months up to the initial values. Splenectomy allowed to
аchieve the recovery in 84% of patients.
Particularităţile evoluţiei clinice, diagnosticului şi tratamentului purpurei
trombocitopenice idiopatice au fost studiate la 50 pacienţi. A fost stabilit că maladia mai frecvent
s-a dezvoltat la femei de vîrstă tînără. Sindromul hemoragic trombocitopenic a avut un caracter
microcirculator peteşial-echimatos.
Design, Synthesis and Biological Activity Evaluation of S-Substituted 1H-5-Mercapto-1,2,4-Triazole Derivatives as Antiproliferative Agents in Colorectal Cancer
Colon cancer is a widespread pathology with complex biochemical etiology based on a significant number of intracellular signaling pathways that play important roles in carcinogenesis, tumor proliferation and metastasis. These pathways function due to the action of key enzymes that can be used as targets for new anticancer drug development. Herein we report the synthesis and biological antiproliferative evaluation of a series of novel S-substituted 1H-3-R-5-mercapto-1,2,4-triazoles, on a colorectal cancer cell line, HT-29. Synthesized compounds were designed by docking based virtual screening (DBVS) of a previous constructed compound library against protein targets, known for their important role in colorectal cancer signaling: MEK1, ERK2, PDK1, VEGFR2. Among all synthesized structures, TZ55.7, which was retained as a possible PDK1 (phospholipid-dependent kinase 1) inhibitor, exhibited the most significant cytotoxic activity against HT-29 tumor cell line. The same compound alongside other two, TZ53.7 and TZ3a.7, led to a significant cell cycle arrest in both sub G0/G1 and G0/G1 phase. This study provides future perspectives for the development of new agents containing the 1,2,4-mercapto triazole scaffold with antiproliferative activities in colorectal cancer
