    Get PDF
Employers in the job market are constantly making paradigm change in their recruitment functions every moment involving various electronic mediums, social media, and ICT (Information & Communication Technologies) in order to simplify the recruiting processes without compromising the objective of identifying suitable, best human resources for their vacancies. Present campus recruitment training methodologies employed for training students are yielding unproductive whilst tested with advanced interview methodologies of new age industry recruiters may adopt E-HRM practice to find the optimum solution to their challenges. Therefore, in this paper, a new e-campus interview training model known as “The Box Framework for E-Campus Interview Training” is proposed. Through conceptual study, by introducing various box contents of the framework, it is shown that a comprehensive online interview training plan can be designed by the trainer for a robust online e-interview preparation training program for the students. Evaluation of the training model option is also proposed under the new training framework. The four box model is expected to be most suitable and best method for E-campus interview training

The current technological and digital era has always directed campus recruitment process towards eruption of paradigm shifts matching new systems of industrial workforce engagements. The dilemma of job seeking graduates today in campus has ever more convoluted towards the rapid changes in industry and employment market. IEDRA Model of Student Campus Placement Realization was a more comprehensive study undertaken by Shenoy & Aithal (2017) to resolve such a dilemma of students. Therefore here, a brief study is undertaken to discover practical viabilities, understand the usefulness, resourcefulness and universal applications of IEDRA Model of campus placement determination towards concerned stakeholders. A new model of framework analysis named ABCD analysis developed by Aithal et al. (2015) is adopted here for arriving at appropriate theory, hypothesis or postulate constructs regarding the ubiquitous appeal of the IEDRA Framework

An Effective Pixel-Wise Approach for Skin Colour Segmentation- Using Pixel Neighbourhood Technique

    Get PDF
This paper presents a novel technique for skin colour segmentation that overcomes the limitations faced by existing techniques such as Colour Range Thresholding. Skin colour segmentation is affected by the varied skin colours and surrounding lighting conditions, leading to poorskin segmentation for many techniques. We propose a new two stage Pixel Neighbourhood technique that classifies any pixel as skin or non-skin based on its neighbourhood pixels. The first step calculates the probability of each pixel being skin by passing HSV values of the pixel to a Deep Neural Network model. In the next step, it calculates the likeliness of pixel being skin using these probabilities of neighbouring pixels. This technique performs skin colour segmentation better than the existing techniques

The success of higher education is measured in olden days by determining the level of knowledge and skills the students gained during that period. But as time progress, the phenomena of globalization and large quantity of job creation in Information Technology industries changed the scenario in such a way that new model of higher education is seen which consists of providing campus placement as a final part of their higher education service. Recently, providing campus placement to successful students is considered as institutional obligation and institutions are ranked based on number of successful job placement provided in the campus for a given year along with the average salary offered. But as time progress, the model of campus placement is going to change and it is predicted that industries are thinking of adopting new model of placement through online. In this new model called “Online-oriented industry placement model”, students have to study various companies of their choice in different countries, and study their business models along with suggesting solutions to their problems and business expansion opportunities with students/applicants promise of individual contribution to the company. If company executives realise that the candidate is suitable for their organization they may offer competitive job but sustainability is a function of candidate’s contribution to organizational challenge and his individual continuation to group productivity. The paper contains the details on this new proposed model and strategy to be followed by the student to get good challenging job offers from reputed international companies and hard and smart work he/she has to perform for his/her sustainability and growth in the organization. The paper also contains advantages, benefits, constraints, and disadvantages of such online student centric placement model

Green Placement – An Innovative Concept & Strategy in Campus Placement Model

Campus Placements as we know today is a process involving interview of college students by recruiting companies utilizing institutional resources towards candidate job selection. The same campus placements which are being traditionally conducted by the arrival of HR Team to campus, their pre-placement talk about company and job description with the gradual interview rounds is slowly beginning to shift its perspectives towards a more greener stature. Especially now with the application of modern technology in hiring practices like E-Recruiting or On-line Recruitment, the entire campus recruitment process is also poised to leap towards a rapid change. Therefore, this research paper aims to construct an ideal strategy towards implementing campus placement process in parallel lines of E-Recruiting as well but with a more environment-friendly approach. This on-line campus placement process termed as 'Green Placements' will thrive as a conceptual model focused on to reduce resource wastages, save water, time, space, electricity by preserving the surrounding environment clean and green whilst the placement activity is being conducted at the college
