Few instruments are available to assess the postnatal mother's satisfaction with nursing care. This study tests the validity and reliability of Jipi’s postnatal satisfaction with nursing care questionnaire (JPSNQ).Descriptive design was used for the study .The sample consisted of 100 postnatal mothers who met the inclusion criteria and the sample was selected using purposive sampling technique. A structured questionnaire schedule was administered to the postnatal mothers respectively. The questionnaire was classified under six domains namely orientation, information, communication, comfort and care, specific to postnatal care and value and preference of postnatal mothers with the total of 39 items. The reliability coefficient of the tool was established using cronbach’s alpha method .Cronbach’s alpha is the most widely used method for evaluating internal consistency. The reliability co-efficient obtained for postnatal mothers level of satisfaction with nursing care was(r = 0.834) which indicated that the tool was reliable. The results demonstrated that the subscales within the scale are internally consistent, subscales’ Cronbach alpha ranged from 0.720 to 0.847. In addition, all subscales surpassed the 0.70 criterion for reliability and were positively and significant. An assessment of validity was made in terms of (content validity) which were obtained for demographic proforma out of the 10 items, 8 had 100% agreement and two had 90% agreement. Structured questionnaire   schedule on mother’s satisfaction: There were 39 items in the structured questionnaire schedule on postnatal mother’s satisfaction. All had 100% agreement. The newly developed questionnaire is valid and reliable to measures maternal satisfaction with nursing care in inpatient postpartum unit. Construct validity was measured with extreme group method.  Item analysis was done with Pearson product-moment correlation coefficients - all the items are significantly correlated with the overall satisfaction. A descriptive study was conducted to evaluate the level of satisfaction perceived by postnatal mothers following with nursing care in postnatal wards  as expressed by themselves and to determine the association between patient's satisfaction with nursing care and selected sociodemographic variables .Purposive sampling technique was employed to  select sample and it  consisted of 100 postnatal mothers who met the inclusion criteria .Jipi’s postnatal satisfaction with nursing care questionnaire (JPSNQ)  which contained  structured questionnaire schedule and demographic proforma was used to collect data. The questionnaire was classified under six domains namely orientation, information, communication, comfort and care, specific to postnatal care and value and preference of postnatal mothers with the total of 39 . Findings of the study showed that (39%) of postnatal  mothers were moderately satisfied and (60%) of  postnatal mothers were minimally satisfied and (1 %) of  postnatal mothers were satisfied with the care provided by the nursing personnel. They were highly satisfied in the area of value and preference. The least satisfaction was found in the area related to orientation. Patients' opinions regarding their expectations and their satisfaction with nursing care can be considered as an important opportunity for nurses to plan and implement appropriate strategies that improve the quality of nursing care. Cross section design was used. Knowledge on health maintenance was determined using a structured knowledge questionnaire. Breast self examination and Kegel exercise (simulated) were determined using an observation check list. Result: Seventy five percent subjects had good knowledge on health maintenance, 1.25 % had very poor knowledge. There was no association observed between knowledge score and selected demographic variables. Practice score obtained were very poor (mean % 0.48). There was positive correlation between pre-test knowledge and practice of subjects. Conclusion: Avoiding smoking excess salt, sugar, caffeine and adequate intake of calcium, vitamin D, lifestyle modification, exercises, and good awareness would keep oneself healthy in the rest of the life. Introduction: Reflexology is a part of alternative medicine. Researches done around the world indicate the physiological and psychological positive benefits of foot reflexology. There are no courses about foot reflexology in nursing colleges and there are no researches done in Saudi Arabia about awareness of foot reflexology. The aim of this study is to assess the effect of foot reflexology awareness session on nursing students’ knowledge and attitude.Method: A quasi-experimental design was used to collect the data from a convenience sample of 41 female senior nursing students in king Saud bin Abdul-Aziz university for health science in Riyadh city. Two tools were developed to collect the data: knowledge assessment and opinion regarding foot reflexology questionnaire and evaluation sheet for the educational session. The educational session conducted in 40 minutes. Validity and reliability the questionnaire were ensured. Results: Forty-one students were included (30 level 7 and 11 level8). Mean age was 21.61 (±, 703) years and the majority of the student 68.3% did not hear about foot reflexology. There were significant differences regarding all topics included in the knowledge assessment tool (p=. 000). The mean and standard Deviation of overall knowledge in post-tests result (51.66±2.19) was higher compared to pre-test result (46.88±4.48). Regarding students' opinion of foot reflexology, the result revealed that 58.5% on a pre-test of nursing students agreed that therapeutic touch is an integral part of nursing profession whereas 92.7% agreed on post-test. Majority of the participants 63.4% believe in the effect of foot reflexology on the pre-test and 85.4%on post-test.Discussion and Conclusion: This study revealed that knowledge level in the post-session was high and better than in pre-session. Also, it showed that the participants’ attitude toward foot reflexology changed after the session. Keywords: Foot Reflexology, Awareness Session, Knowledge Level and Attitud
