This study examines the Analysis on financial performance determinants: A study on selected commercial Banks in Ethiopia. Among the total of 17 public and private sector banks by using Purposive sampling technique 9 banks have been selected for the study. Quantitative research approach was adopted by using secondary data by using panel data of banks over a period of ten years (2006-2015). The fixed effect model was chosen rather than random effect model based on the hausman specification test result. In order to realize the objectives of the study multiple regression models was employed. Banks specific factors considered CAMEL approach  and the key macroeconomic factors such as gross domestic product, inflation rate and foreign exchange rate were also included to analyze the banks financial performance in terms of ROA and ROE, Accordingly, the result revealed that   Capital adequacy has positive and significant impact on bank financial performance of return on asset, and Earning ability and liquidity management has negatively and significant impact on bank financial performance of return on equity, On the other hand, variables such as Gross Domestic Variable has positively impact on both return on asset (ROA) and return on equity (ROE). Background: Cancer is one of the essential unpredictable diseases worldwide; simultaneously, complicated issues created are by the human health system. Especially, breast cancer is the most commonly occurring cancer in women and is increasing remarkably in developing countries. It is a leading cause of cancer death in women, and breast cancer incidence rates are growing globally. To diagnose and treat cancer cells, different methods such as Radiation Therapy, Surgery, and Chemotherapy. These methods are high risk, more side effects, and high costs. The advanced healthcare material was developed to overcome this problem, inexpensive tools, and diagnosis of less-toxic drugs with negligible risk factors to normal cells. Nanoscience and nanotechnology fields can create higher prospects for diagnosing cancer cells using multifunctional nanomaterials for advanced clinical applications. Methods: Mutifuntional ZnO-TiO2-sodium alginate hybrid nanomaterial was prepared by a simple precipitation process. Results: ZnO-TiO2-Sodium alginate (ZTSAO) hybrid nanomaterial was successfully fabricated via a simple precipitation process. XRD patterns confirmed that the formation of ZTSAO crystal revealed a hexagonal wurtzite structure. The photoluminescence spectrum of ZTSAO, shows blue-green emissions at 480 nm and 484 nm, respectively, due to the active radicals generated in the nanomaterial, which are responsible for the associated anticancer activities. Invitro anticancer assay and the ZTSAO hybrid nanomaterial\u27s toxicity effect were examined in cultured MDA-MB-237 breast cancer cells and L929 fibroblast cells. Conclusions: In summary, ZTSAO hybrid nanomaterial has been developed against breast cancer cells (MDA-MB-237), and an IC50 concentration value of 10 μg/mL was recorded when evaluated after 24 h. Furthermore, the toxicity of ZTSAO hybrid nanomaterial treated cells indicates that the cells are alive with viability of ∼86.25 %, with results compared to the control group, showing that the ZTSAO hybrid nanomaterial exhibits minimum toxicity percentage. From this study, it is believed that ZTSAO hybrid nanomaterial is a highly promising nanomaterial, which will be suitable for advanced clinical applications. An Adaptive Design Methodology for Reduction of Product Development Risk

Embedded systems interaction with environment inherently complicates understanding of requirements and their correct implementation. However, product uncertainty is highest during early stages of development. Design verification is an essential step in the development of any system, especially for Embedded System. This paper introduces a novel adaptive design methodology, which incorporates step-wise prototyping and verification. With each adaptive step product-realization level is enhanced while decreasing the level of product uncertainty, thereby reducing the overall costs. The back-bone of this frame-work is the development of Domain Specific Operational (DOP) Model and the associated Verification Instrumentation for Test and Evaluation, developed based on the DOP model. Together they generate functionally valid test-sequence for carrying out prototype evaluation. With the help of a case study 'Multimode Detection Subsystem' the application of this method is sketched. The design methodologies can be compared by defining and computing a generic performance criterion like Average design-cycle Risk. For the case study, by computing Average design-cycle Risk, it is shown that the adaptive method reduces the product development risk for a small increase in the total design cycle time.Comment: 21 pages, 9 figure

Objective: A simple, rapid, precise and accurate spectrophotometric method has been developed for determination of Flurbiprofen and Pantoprazole by simultaneous equation method in combined dosage form Methods: The 6.8 pH phosphate buffer was selected as solvent for developing spectral characteristics of both drugs. The method was validated for recovery studies. Results: The λmax of Flubiprofen was found to be 230 nm and Pantoprazole was found to be 270 nm. The method obeyed Beer's law in the concentration range of 10-100 μg/ml for Flurbiprofen and 10-100 μg/ml for Pantoprazole. The percentage recovery of Flubiprofen was found to be 99.16 and Pantoprazole was found to be 99.46. Conclusion: The proposed method was validated and can be used for analysis of combined tablet formulation containing Flurbiprofen and Pantoprazole

INVESTIGATIONS OF FORCES, POWER AND SURFACE ROUGHNESS IN HARD TURNING WITH MIXED CERAMIC TOOL

Hard turning has been explored as an alternative to cylindrical grinding used in manufacturing parts made of tool steels. In the present study, the effects of cutting speed, feed rate and Depth of Cut (DOC) on cutting forces, specific cutting force, power and surface roughness in the hard turning are experimentally investigated. Experiments are carried out using mixed ceramic(Al2O3+TiC) cutting tool of corner radius 0.8mm, in turning operations on AISI D3  tool steel,  heat treated to a hardness of 62 HRC. Response Surface Methodology (RSM) based Central Composite Design (CCD) in Design of Experiments (DOE), is adopted in deciding the number of experiments (20) to be performed with various combinations of input parameters. The range of each one of the three parameters is set at three different levels, namely low, medium and high. The validity of the model is checked by Analysis of variance (ANOVA), predicted models are derived from regression analysis. From the results most favorable parameter setting for superior surface finish is acquired at a medium speed of cutting, medium feed and low DOC
