The aim of the paper is to analyze the contribution of celebrity culture to the re-shaping of the fashion industry, distancing from an oppositional view while embracing a systemic one, where celebrity is considered a fundamental engine of the contemporary cultural production of fashion and a global consumerist culture. The scope of our paper tries to overcome the endorsement point of view to address the relationship between celebrity and fashion as a two-way relationship which is re-wiring the fashion industry. The paper will explore the multiple manifestations of the so-called celebrity brand labels, from Kim Kardashian to Victoria Beckham

DALLA PERIEGESI DI PAUSANIA ALLA MODERNA MUSEOGRAFIA SITE-MUSEUMS IN GRECIA

La ricerca si interroga sul perch\ue9 per i moderni allestitori, che si relazionano con le vestigia classiche greche, la Periegesi costituisca un richiamo ineludibile, che scatta, quasi in automatico, ogniqualvolta c\u2019\ue8 da pensare a un\u2019esposizione museale che abbia come oggetto le res antiquae. In effetti Pausania, vero \u3c0\u3b5\u3c0\u3b1\u3b9\u3b4\u3b5\u3c5\u3bc\u3ad\u3bd\u3bf\u3c2, uomo colto del proprio tempo, che ha guidato intere generazioni di viaggiatori, archeologi, classicisti, storici, geografi e letterati, \ue8 stato da noi individuato come colui il quale gioca un ruolo determinante nelle scelte culturali di museologi e museografi per gli allestimenti dei site-museum in Grecia. La tesi ha rintracciato, negli allestimenti dei casi-studio una sorta di chiave museografica contemporanea, che, collocandosi sullo sfondo delle molte anime della Grecia antica, cos\uec come emerge dalla lettura museograficamente orientata del testo pausanico, ha individuato dei links, capaci di collegare, diacronicamente, emergenze artistiche e monumenti architettonici osservati (attraverso la sua celebre visione autoptica) e raccontati nel sec. II d. C., con gli allestimenti museali progettati nel sec. XXI e, cosa altrettanto importante, di riconnettere, sincronicamente e concettualmente, quest\u2019ultimi tra di loro. In altri termini, ci\uf2 significa che l\u2019affresco dell\u2019Ellade effettuato da Pausania ha contribuito a plasmare, in modo determinante, la stessa identit\ue0 del concetto di Greekness (o di Ell\ue9nikon) ed ha orientato, in modo altrettanto pregnante, le strategie concettuali ed operative, nonch\ue9 le relative modalit\ue0 comunicazionali, riferite alla cultura greca classica, messe in atto nel campo della moderna museografia. In ultima analisi dalla ricerca emerge l\u2019importanza che pu\uf2 avere in qualsiasi museo il fatto di consentire ai popoli scomparsi di parlare attraverso la voce del proprio tempo, la quale, se ben ascoltata e ben trasmessa, pu\uf2 essere pi\uf9 persuasiva e coinvolgente di qualsiasi altro apparato comunicativo che si possa mettere in atto.The research examines the reason why according to modern museum-designers, who deal with the remains of ancient Greece, Periegesis represents an unavoidable call, that almost automatically springs, every time one has to plan a museum display whose subject are res antiquae. In our opinion, Pausanias, \u3c0\u3b5\u3c0\u3b1\u3b9\u3b4\u3b5\u3c5\u3bc\u3ad\u3bd\u3bf\u3c2 (a learned man of his time), who guided generations of travellers, archaeologists, classical scholars, historians, geographers and men of letters, is the one who plays the main role in leading cultural choices of museologists and museographists when they display site-museums in Greece. In the thesis, by examining the displays of case studies, we have discovered a kind of \u201ccontemporary museographic key\u201d, taking place against the background of multiform ancient Greece, as a museografically oriented reading of Pausanias\u2019 text reveals, that has identified some links able not only to connect, diachronically, artistic remains and architectonic monuments, observed (through his famous \u201cautoptic\u201d vision) and told in the 2nd century AD, with the museum displays planned in the XXIst century, but also to connect, synchronically and conceptually, the latter between themselves. In other words, it means that Pausanias\u2019 detailed description of Hellas has helped to mould, in a fundamental way, the idea of Greekness (or Ell\ue9nikon) and it has oriented, in a meaningful way, not only conceptual and executive strategies but also the connected means of information concerning classical Greek culture, used by the modern museography. After all, the research reveals the importance for all the museums of allowing extinct peoples to speak through the voice of their time that can be more convincing and more involving than all the other means of information, if we listen carefully and use the best ways of communication

CO2-EVAR: An innovative approach to Automated Carbon Dioxide Angiography during Endovascular Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm repair

Objectives CO2-EVAR was proposed for treatment of AAA especially in patients with CKD. Issues regarding standardization, such as visualization of lowest renal artery (LoRA) and quality image in angiographies performed from pigtail or introducer-sheath, are still unsolved. Aim of the study was to analyze different steps of CO2-EVAR to create an operative protocol to standardize the procedure. Methods Patients undergoing CO2-EVAR were prospectively enrolled in 5 European centers (2018-2021). CO2-EVAR was performed using an automated injector. LoRA visualization and image quality (1-4) were analyzed and compared at different procedure steps: preoperative CO2-angiography from Pigtail/Introducer-sheath (1st Step), angiographies from Pigtail at 0%,50%,100% main body (MB) deployment (2nd Step), contralateral hypogastric artery (CHA) visualization with CO2 injection from femoral Introducer-sheath (3rd Step) and completion angiogram from Pigtail/Introducer-sheath (4th Step). Intra-/postoperative adverse events were evaluated. Results Sixty-five patients undergoing CO2-EVAR were enrolled, 55/65(84.5%) male, median age 75(11.5) years. Median ICM was 20(54)cc; 19/65(29.2%) procedures were performed with 0-iodine. 1st Step: median image quality was significantly higher with CO2 injected from femoral introducer [Pigtail2(3)vs.3(3)Introducer,p=.008]. 2nd Step: LoRA was more frequently detected at 50% (93%vs.73.2%, p=.002) and 100% (94.1%vs.78.4%, p=.01) of MB deployment compared with first angiography from Pigtail; image quality was significantly higher at 50% [3(3)vs.2(3),p=<.001] and 100% [4(3) vs.2(3),p=.001] of MB deployment. CHA was detected in 93% cases (3rd Step). Mean image quality was significantly higher when final angiogram (4th Step) was performed from introducer (Pigtail2.6±1.1vs.3.1±0.9Introducer,p=<.001). Rates of intra-/postoperative adverse events (pain,vomit,diarrhea) were 7.7% and 12.5%. Conclusions Preimplant CO2-angiography should be performed from Introducer-sheath. MB steric bulk during its deployment should be used to improve image quality and LoRA visualization with CO2. CHA can be satisfactorily visualized with CO2. Completion CO2-angiogram should be performed from femoral Introducer-sheath. This operative protocol allows to perform CO2-EVAR with minimal ICM and low rate of mild complications

In effetti Pausania, vero πεπαιδευμένος, uomo colto del proprio tempo, che ha guidato intere generazioni di viaggiatori, archeologi, classicisti, storici, geografi e letterati, è stato da noi individuato come colui il quale gioca un ruolo determinante nelle scelte culturali di museologi e museografi per gli allestimenti dei site-museum in Grecia. Introduction and Promotion of Off-Season Vegetables Production under Natural Environment in Hilly Area of Upper Swat-Pakistan

An experimental project entitled “Introduction and promotion of off season vegetables production under natural environment in hilly area of Swat-Pakistan” was conducted at district Swat in Farm Services Centre Madyan (FSC) with the collaboration of Agriculture Extension Department Swat during Kharif season 2014. The field experiment was carried out in randomized complete block design (RCBD) having 600 plots at different location and altitudes.  The sub plot size was kept 1 kanal in each vegetable plot. Tomato was planted on an area of 185 kanals, cucumber was grown on an area of 103 kanals, French bean was grown on 225 kanals, squashes was on 62 and peas were on 25 kanals in all the three location. From the results it is observed that all types of vegetable cultivars positively responded for high yield at different location and altitude. Maximum yield of Tomato and Cucumber (1026.8 and 1124.8 kg kanal-1) was recorded in Kalam location. While in Behrain, Squashes and Peas produced highest yield (894.3 and 482.1 kg kanal-1). In Madyan, highest yield was observed in French bean (784.6 kg kanal-1). Kalam valley temperature was a little bit varied in vegetable growing season. There were 15-20 days difference was recorded in crop germination, development and growth in different location due to different altitudes in Madyan, Behrain and in Kalam. On the basis of above result it was concluded that Swat valley; Specially Upper Swat is most suitable for Off-season vegetable production under natural environment to enhance the socio-economic condition of the farmer community.
