Double giant resonances in deformed nuclei
We report on the first microscopic study of the properties of two-phonon
giant resonances in deformed nuclei. The cross sections of the excitation of
the giant dipole and the double giant dipole resonances in relativistic heavy
ion collisions are calculated. We predict that the double giant dipole
resonance has a one-bump structure with a centroid 0.8 MeV higher than twice
energy for the single giant dipole resonance in the reaction under
consideration. The width of the double resonance equals to 1.33 of that for the
single resonance.Comment: 5 pages, 2 postscript figure
Spectroscopic diagnostics for ablation cloud of tracer-encapsulated solid pellet in LHD
In the Large Helical Device (LHD), various spectroscopic diagnostics have been applied to study the ablation process of an advanced impurity pellet, tracer-encapsulated solid pellet (TESPEL). The total light emission from the ablation cloud of TESPEL is measured by photomultipliers equipped with individual interference filters, which provide information about the TESPEL penetration depth. The spectra emitted from the TESPEL ablation cloud are measured with a 250 mm Czerny?Turner spectrometer equipped with an intensified charge coupled device detector, which is operated in the fast kinetic mode. This diagnostic allows us to evaluate the temporal evolution of the electron density in the TESPEL ablation cloud. In order to gain information about the spatial distribution of the cloud parameters, a nine image optical system that can simultaneously acquire nine images of the TESPEL ablation cloud has recently been developed. Several images of the TESPEL ablation cloud in different spectral domains will give us the spatial distribution of the TESPEL cloud density and temperature
MEANS OF DATA ACCESSING ABOUT «TRUE» ADOLESCENT MORBIDITY
With the help of «SOC/PEDIATRIA-3» software we have studied «true» adolescent morbidity from 2006 to 2008 inclusive. We have analyzed data from 723 adolescents including the results of their profound physical examination. We have calculated the index of accumulated morbidity by appealability. We have obtained valid data upon «true» adolescent morbidity.Key words: adolescents, morbidity, database, profound checks.(Voprosy sovremennoi pediatrii — Current Pediatrics. 2011; 10 (3): 12–15

Detection of microwave radiation of cytochrome CYP102 A1 solution during the enzyme reaction
Microwave radiation at 3.4–4.2 GHz frequency of the cytochrome P450 CYP102 A1 (BM3) solution was registered during the lauric acid hydroxylation reaction. The microwave radiation generation was shown to occur following the addition of electron donor NADPH to a system containing an enzyme and a substrate. The radiation occurs for the enzyme solutions with enzyme concentrations of 10−8 and 10−9 М. The microwave radiation effect elicited by the aqueous enzyme solution was observed for the first time. The results obtained can be used to elaborate a new approach to enzyme systems research, including studying of the mechanism of interaction of a functioning enzyme system with microenvironment
Consensus of Russian experts on the evaluation of arterial stiffness in clinical practice
Recently, there was plenty studies published on the arterial stiffness assessment, and importance of this was proved as an independent prediction parameter, together with standard cardiovascular risk factors. In current document, we collect and structure the available clinical and scientific data from abroad and Russian studies. The aim of current publication is the need to bring a reader the importance of demanded in clinical practice ways of arterial wall stiffness assessment, information about conditions when it is important to the assessment, and available restrictions, as the issues remaining unresolved
