    Determination of volume, shape and refractive index of individual blood platelets

    Light scattering patterns (LSP) of blood platelets were theoretically and experimentally analyzed. We used spicular spheroids as a model for the platelets with pseudopodia. The discrete dipole approximation was employed to simulate light scattering from an individual spicular spheroid constructed from a homogeneous oblate spheroid and 14 rectilinear parallelepipeds rising from the cell centre. These parallelepipeds have a weak effect on the LSP over the measured angular range. Therefore, a homogeneous oblate spheroid was taken as a simplified optical model for platelets. Using the T-matrix method, we computed the LSP over a range of volumes, aspect ratios and refractive indices. Measured LSPs of individual platelets were compared one by one with the theoretical set and the best fit was taken to characterize the measured platelets, resulting in distributions of volume, aspect ratio and refractive index.Comment: 10 pages, 6 figure

    Bitangential interpolation in generalized Schur classes

    Bitangential interpolation problems in the class of matrix valued functions in the generalized Schur class are considered in both the open unit disc and the open right half plane, including problems in which the solutions is not assumed to be holomorphic at the interpolation points. Linear fractional representations of the set of solutions to these problems are presented for invertible and singular Hermitian Pick matrices.     Research objective: to carry out differential diagnostics of various nosological forms of a temporal and temporomandibular joint pain dysfunction syndrome. Material and methods. On clinical base of orthopedic odontology chair of SamSMU inspection of 244 patients with temporomandibular joint pain dysfunction syndrome was performed. Diagnostics was carried out according to the special card of inspection which was developed on orthopedic odontology chair of SamSMU and included subjective, objective and special methods of research. As a result of research it is taped: 71 — an occlusal-articulation dysfunctional syndrome, 44 — a neuromuscular dysfunctional syndrome, 76 patients have a hardly set dislocation of intra joint disk and 53 — a habitual dislocation and a subluxation of a temporomandibular joint. We used Yu.A. Petrosov's classification as it displays most precisely the processes happening at pathology of the intra joint relations. Conclusion: On the basis of the obtained data the table of differential diagnostics of various nosological forms of temporomandibular joint pain dysfunction syndrome has been made

    The technology of obtaining the dispersed-hardened powder alloy YUIPM-NiCr20Cu3 is developed, its functional characteristics are determined. The alloy sample was tested at operating temperatures at the Institute of Strength Problems stand of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. The modes of alloy soldering have been worked out, the mock-up of the air intake edge from the developed alloy has been prepared. It is shown that the existing complex of properties makes it possible to use the created alloy for aerospace aircraft, which repeatedly operate under extremely high temperatures, developed under aerodynamic heating conditions.Разработана технология получения дисперсно-упрочненного порошкового спл ава ЮИПМ-ШСг20ЮЗ, определены его функциональные характеристики. Образец сплава испытан при рабочих температурах на стенде Института проблем прочности НАН Украины. Отработаны режимы пайки сплава, изготовлен макет кромки воздухозаборника из разработанного сплава. Показано, что имеющийся комплекс свойств позволяет использовать созданный сплав для аэрокосмических летательных аппаратов, многократно работающих в условиях экстремально высоких температур, развиваемых в условиях аэродинамического нагрева

    Diagnostics and complex treatment of pain dysfunction syndrome of temporomandibular joint

    Research objective is to increase quality of diagnostics and treatment of patients with a pain dysfunction syndrome of temporomandibular joint by the choice of diagnostic and medical actions. Material and Methods: 172 patients with a syndrome of pain dysfunction of temporomandibular joint have been underthe survey. All patients have been examined according to the scheme including subjective, objective and express methods. Results of the research allowed to reveal that at 30% of patients the syndrome of pain dysfunction of temporomandibular joint has been caused by disk dislocation. Upon termination of the treatment which has been carried out by the scheme, the normalization of relationship of joint elements has been observed. Conclusion: When the diagnosis of syndrome of pain dysfunction of temporomandibular joint is proved, it is necessary to apply complex treatment

    The article present the most frequent clinical symptoms and electromyography (EMG) data to study temporal and proper masticatory muscles in the different functional testy in patients with a diagnosis of a dislocated meniscus of the temporomandibular joint (TMG). An EMG test in the most important and reliable method for the diagnosis of specified disease. Correlation of clinical symptoms and EMG data of the study fully demonstrates the functional state of the elements of TMJ.В статье представлены наиболее частые клинические симптомы и данные электромиографии (ЭМГ) височных и собственно-жевательных мышц при различных функциональных пробах у пациентов с диагнозом вывих мениска височно-нижнечелюстного сустава (ВНЧС). ЭМГ-исследование является наиболее важным и достоверным методом диагностики указанной патологии. Корреляция клинических симптомов и данных ЭМГ-исследования в полной мере демонстрирует функциональное состояние элементов ВНЧС
