Proton polarizability effect in the hyperfine splitting of the hydrogen atom

The contribution of the proton polarizability to the ground state hyperfine splitting in the hydrogen atom is evaluated on the basis of isobar model and evolution equations for the parton distributions. The contributions of the Born terms, vector meson exchanges and nucleon resonances are taken into account in the construction of the proton polarized structure functions $g_{1,2}(W,Q^2)$. Numerical values of this effect are equal $(2.2\pm 0.8)\times 10^{-6}$ times the Fermi splitting in electronic hydrogen and $(4.70\pm 1.04)\times 10^{-4}$ times the Fermi splitting in muonic hydrogen.Comment: 11 pages, 5 figure

Diabetes mellitus, chronic pancreatitis and primary hyperparathyroidism: is there a connection?

Hyperparathyroidism is a relatively frequent condition characterized by hypersecretion of parathyroid hormone. There are several forms of primary hyperparathyroidism. Each form affects its target region. In the visceral form, nephrocalcinosis, nephrolithiasis and peptic and duodenal ulcers are common. The pancreas is also a target organ. This article describes a clinical case of a patient with diabetes mellitus and previously treated primary hyperparathyroidism. The patient was admitted to the hospital due to poor glycaemic control. During the hospitalization, diabetes mellitus developed as a consequence of frequent relapses of chronic pancreatitis (outcome of the visceral form of primary hyperparathyroidism and severe hypertriglyceridemia). Glycaemic control was achieved after treatment of acute pancreatitis and insulin administration. This clinical case is an example of the impact of previous primary hyperparathyroidism (even after radical treatment and remission) on the development of a multi-faceted comorbidity

Transformation of the system of bilingual education in the Republic of Tatarstan: Crossover ethnolinguistic controversies

The relevance of the problem range addressed in the study is conditioned by the system of education functioning under multiculturalism in modern polyethnic societies and their social stability much depending on the balanced use of languages of ethnoses that reside in the region as well as on the respectful attitude to their representatives in daily life. Thus, the system of education has to take into account the ethnic and religious, political, social and cultural requirements of the society offering high-quality education to the consumers according to their expectations. The objective of the paper consists in revealing the topical problems of regional educational reforms aimed at implementing the principle of bilingualism in polyethnic and polyreligious region of Russia – the Republic of Tatarstan. The representative mass survey of population of the Republic of Tatarstan and a series of in-depth narrative interviews with representatives of various generations of Tatarstan citizens as the main methods used in the research. Based on the sociological survey conducted within the research project “Dynamics of real and conventional generations in information polyethnic and polyreligious society (a case study of the Republic of Tatarstan)”, the following findings have been made. Scientific justification of the language policy being implemented in the republic and of the methodological support of bilingual educational programs are of poor level. A higher education system segregated according to the information carrier language prevails. There also remains a crossover controversy expressed in discontent in both Russian-speaking and to a significant extent Tatar-speaking urban population with the school educational policy of bilingualism. Results of the research cited in the paper can be used by the state authorities of the republic for elaborating the optimum bilingual language policy as well as in the practice of educational institutions implementing the bilingual education

Some ways of filling of the vascular bed of domestic animals

In this work the assessment of some methods of filling of the mammals blood channels is presented. As injection masses there were used the gelatine solution of 5%, painted with the ink by Borisevich V.B. technique and the solution consisting of Bustilat-M glue and the water in a proportion of 2:1. The conducted researches showed that the most successful, in terms of simplicity of execution, is filling of vessels with the solution consisting of Bustilat-M glue and water, as it allows with the little effort and with the smallest expenses to fill in both large and average vessel
