Indexación: Scopus.Background. Oral health plays a crucial role in general health, quality of life and well-being of pregnant women and their newborns. In Chile, pregnant women have dental care guaranteed by law. However, due to the lack of previous epidemiological studies on the benefits of this guarantee, it is necessary to describe this situation and evaluate the need to change the methods of providing dental services. Objectives. The objective of this study was to describe the pattern of providing dental benefits resulting from the Explicit Health Guarantee – Integral Oral Health in Pregnant Women (GES-SOIE) program to pregnant women attending the Juan Soto Fernández Family Health Center, Concepción, Chile, in 2014–2015. Material and methods. A cross-sectional study of the electronic dental records of patients admitted to GES-SOIE was conducted. The variables studied were sociodemographic data, dental chair hours, non-attendance, treatment completion, and the type of referral to secondary healthcare (SHC). Results. Of 233 pregnant women, 65.2% were registered for non-attendance, 21.2% required referral to SHC and 76.4% completed their treatment. When performing logistic regression, it was found that for each non-attendance the chance of not completing the treatment increased 1.4 times. Conclusions. The level of non-attendance and opting out of the treatment in pregnant women is high, which hinders the proper functioning and effectiveness of GES-SOIE. © 2018 by Wroclaw Medical University and Polish Dental Society.http://www.dmp.umed.wroc.pl/en/article/2018/55/2/179

Dynamics of Interacting Quintessence Models: Observational Constraints

Interacting quintessence models have been proposed to explain or, at least, alleviate the coincidence problem of late cosmic acceleration. In this paper we are concerned with two aspects of these kind of models: (i) the dynamical evolution of the model of Chimento et al. [L.P. Chimento, A.S. Jakubi, D. Pavon, and W. Zimdahl, Phys. Rev. D 67, 083513 (2003).], i.e., whether its cosmological evolution gives rise to a right sequence of radiation, dark matter and dark energy dominated eras, and (ii) whether the dark matter dark energy ratio asymptotically evolves towards a non-zero constant. After showing that the model correctly reproduces these eras, we correlate three data sets that constrain the interaction at three redshift epochs: z≤104z\le 10^{4}, z=103z=10^{3}, and z=1z=1. We discuss the model selection and argue that even if the model under consideration fulfills both requirements, it is heavily constrained by observation. The prospects that the coincidence problem can be explained by the coupling of dark matter to dark energy are not clearly favored by the data.Comment: 16 pages, 7 figures and 3 tables. HCl, DCl and TCl diatomic molecules in their ground state: the Born-Oppenheimer rovibrational spectra

The analytic Born-Oppenheimer (B-O) potential curve for the ground state X1Σ+X^1\Sigma^+ of the molecule (H,D,T)Cl is constructed for the whole range of internuclear distances R∈[0,∞)R \in [0,\infty) with an accuracy of 3-5 figures in comparison with RKR-style potential curve derived from available experimental data on vibrational energies. With accuracy of 3-4 figures in the energies, it is predicted for HCl (DCl, TCl) the 836 (1625, 2366) B-O rovibrational bound states with maximal vibrational number νmax=20 (29,35)\nu_{max} = 20\, (29, 35) and maximal angular momentum Lmax=64 (90,109)L_{max} = 64\, (90, 109) including 24 (46, 63) weakly-bound states (close to dissociation limit) with the energies ≲10−4\lesssim 10^{-4}\,Hartree. Insufficiency of existing experimental data is indicated and the prediction of the bulk of missing rovibrational states is made for all HCl, DCl, TCl molecules.Comment: 20 pages, 4 figures, 6 tables: the text is extended and essentially modified to make it more clear, 5 extra references adde

The H2+_2^+ molecular ion: a solution

Combining the WKB expansion at large distances and Perturbation Theory at small distances it is constructed a compact uniform approximation for eigenfunctions. For lowest states 1s\si_{g} and 2p\si_{u} this approximation provides the relative accuracy ≲10−5\lesssim 10^{-5} (5 s.d.) for any real xx in eigenfunctions and for total energy E(R)E(R) it gives 10-11 s.d. for internuclear distances R∈[0,50]R \in [0,50]. Corrections to proposed approximations are evaluated. Separation constants and the oscillator strength for the transition 1s\si_{g} \rar 2p\si_{u} are calculated and compared with existing data.Comment: 16 pages, 4 figures, 6 tables, typos are corrected and small additions are inserted, to be published at JPB (fast track comm
