    Active Learning untuk Mewujudkan Pembelajaran Efektif Runtut Prih Utami

    Kualitas pendidikan merupakan salah satu aspek penting dari suatu bangsa, karena maju tidaknya suatu bangsa bisa dilihat dari kualitas pendidikannya. Kualitas pendidikan tidak terlepas dari kualitas pembelajaran dan kualitas tenaga pengajar/gurunya. Oleh sebab itu kedua aspek tersebut harus ditingkatkan. Pembelajaran yang berlangsung selama ini umumnya menggunakan metode pengajaran yang cenderung sama setiap kali pertemuan di kelas. Pembelajaran masih berpusat pada guru ini mengakibatkan siswa cenderung pasif dan pembelajaran tidak efektif. Kondisi pembelajaran yang tidak memperhatikan perbedaan peserta didik, teacher centered, monoton, tidak efektif dan jauh dari ketuntasan belajar pada saat ini membuktikan terjadinya kegagalan dalam proses pembelajaran di sekolah. Oleh sebab itu perlu inovasi pembelajaran yang merubah paradigma teacher centered menjadi student centered, dari mengajar (to teach/ instructor) menjadi memfasilitasi (to help student learn facilitator). Strategi pembelajaran yang ditawarkan adalah strategi belajar aktif (active learning strategy). Active learning memberikan kesempatan yang lebih banyak pada peserta didik untuk melakukan aktivitas belajar daripada sekedar menerima pelajaran yang diberikan. Agar pembelajaran lebih bermakna maka siswa harus terlibat aktif dalam pembelajaran untuk mengkonstruk pengetahuannya melalui pengalaman belajar yang dimilikinya. Dalam active learning ini guru bertindak sebagai fasilitator, oleh sebab itu guru harus profesional yang menguasai materi dan mampu berkomunikasi dengan baik, inovatif serta mampu mengelola kelas dengan baik. Implementasi active learning ini dapat meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran secara khusus dan kualitas pendidikan secara umum

    The Role of Perceived Uncertainty, Ego Identity, and Perceived Behavioral Control in Predicting Patient's Attitude Toward Medical Surgery

    Medical surgery has sometimes become the only best choice for a patient's well-being. Unfortunately, not all patients have the willingness to live it. Often, therapeutic failure is caused by uncooperative attitudes of the patients which originate from their negative attitudes toward the surgery. This research is aimed at finding a theoretical model to explain psychological factors forming the patient's attitudes. This predictive correlational research was conducted on 99 patients suffering heart disease and cancer continuum who require medical surgery in DKI Jakarta, Indonesia. Research results showed that a commitment aspect of ego identity is able to indirectly predict attitude toward medical surgery through mediation of perceived uncertainty. Perceived behavioral control directly predicts the attitude in a negative direction. This research concludes that patients' commitment towards their identity plays a significant role as they deal with medical surgery

    The North Bandung is a mountainous area with a sharp contours conditions or extremes and became one of the alternative area to stay. The purpose of this paper is to discusses about the influence of contour level in order to designing interior space for the home. Amala is the sampe housetype, created by an architect Tan Tik Lam and became an interesting object to analyzed because it is built on top of the extreme contour and affect to the interior space which including zoning, connection between the room, and a room organization in the house. With descriptive analysis method in comparasion between ground reality and the theory of the ideal interior space, brings a conclusion that an extreme contour will take effects to the interior space, less than ideal, so that can makes the occupants of the house feels uncomfotable, but there is no denying that interior space become unique and interesting

    Penggunaan Strategi Point Counterpoint Melalui Media Compact Disc (Cd) Interaktif Untuk Meningkatkan Motivasi Dan Hasil Belajar Siswa Pada Materi Pokok Sistem Reproduksi Di SMA Negeri 1 Banguntapan

    Penelitian bertujuan untuk: (1) mengetahui keterlaksanaan penggunaan strategi point counter point melalui media compact disc (CD) interaktif pada proses pembelajaran biologi di kelas XI IA 1 SMA N 1 Banguntapan; (2) mengetahui banyaknya siklus pembelajaran yang dibutuhkan untuk mencapai peningkatan motivasi belajar dan hasil belajar siswa kelas XI IA 1 SMA N 1 Banguntapan; dan (3) mengetahui peningkatan motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa kelas XI IA 1 SMA N 1 Banguntapan dengan menggunakan media compact disc (CD) interaktif melalui strategi point counter point pada materi sistem reproduksi manusia. Model penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (Classroom Action Research/CAR). Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI IA 1 SMA N 1 Banguntapan tahun pelajaran 2010/2011 yang berjumlah 38 siswa. Keberhasilan penelitian ini ditunjukkan oleh keberhasilan peningkatan motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa. Keberhasilan peningkatan motivasi belajar siswa diperoleh melalui lembar observasi dan angket, sedangkan hasil belajar siswa diperoleh dari nilai pre-tes dan post-tes. Data motivasi belajar siswa dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif dengan memaparkan persentase rata-rata motivasi belajar siswa yang meningkat dari siklus I ke siklus II. Data hasil belajar siswa diperoleh dari hasil pre-tes dan post-tes dengan teknik effect size, yaitu membandingkan rerata nilai post-tes siklus I dan rerata nilai post-tes siklus II. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) pembelajaran menggunakan strategi point counter point melalui media compact disc (CD) interaktif dapat terlaksana di kelas XI IA 1 SMA N 1 Banguntapan; (2) Siklus pembelajaran yang dibutuhkan untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa sebanyak 2 siklus; dan (3) strategi point counter point melalui media compact disc (CD) interaktif dapat meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa. Motivasi belajar siswa mengalami peningkatan sebesar 26% pada siklus II. Rata-rata nilai post-tes siklus I adalah 7,77, dan rata-rata nilai post-tes siklus II adalah 8,13. Jadi, hasil belajar siswa mengalami peningkatan dari tiap siklusnya dengan effect size sebesar 0,36

    The Influence of Problem Based Learning Model in Student Motivation and Learning Achievement Toward Biological Science on MTs Nurul Huda Sarimulyo Ngawen Blora

    The purpose of this research was to know the influence of problem based learning model in student motivation and learning achievement of MTs Nurul Huda Sarimulyo Ngawen Blora toward biological science on environmental pollution and it's impact in life. The design of this research is true experimental design with pretest-posttest control group design. The sample was chosen by simple random sampling technique with VII B as experimental class and VII C as control class. The experimental class was applied by a treatment with problem based learning model and the control class was applied by direct instruction model. The research instruments were from test data (pretest and posttest) and student motivation form. In analyzing the data, there were two techniques used, namely: Mann Whitney u-test and independent sample t-test. The result of research showed that: 1) the average of student learning motivation score in experimental class was 84,61 and student learning motivation score in control class was 79,5. Based on the result of Mann Whitney u-test analyzing technique, p value was 0,008, and 0,008 < 0,05, it means that the using of problem based learning model has an influence on student learning motivation. 2) the average of student posttest score in experimental class was 66,85 and student posttest score in experimental class was 61,00. Based on the result of Mann Whitney u-test analyzing technique, p value was 0,039, and 0,039 < 0,05, it means that the using of problem based learning model had an influence on student learning achievement

    Implementation of Six Sigma Method to Maintain The Quality of Construction Projects. Six sigma (6-sigma) is amethod that widely developed in the world, especially in manufacturing industry to decrease failures in achieving goodquality in construction projects. The objective of this research is to explore the existing condition of qualitymanagement and the aplication of 6-sigma method in maintaining quality of construction projects. Structured interviewsto experienced experts and people who were recommended by their companies were conducted. Non-parametricanalysis using frequencies distribution procedures were used for analysis. The result shows that existing condition inquality management of construction project in Indonesia have been implemented 6-sigma method approach, thatconcern with is how to adapt with either from internal or external condition of that project
