Metody analizy i oceny bezpieczeństwa oraz jakości informacji

Wśród autorów niniejszej publikacji znajdują się głównie pracownicy Studium Informatyki Krakowskiej Akademii i Katedry Informatyki Stosowanej. Zrównoważony rozwój, systemy informacyjne i zarządzanie bezpieczeństwem w perspektywie długoterminowej przedsiębiorstw

Z wprowadzenia: "Pojęcie zrównoważonego rozwoju jest szeroko opisywane w literaturze przedmiotu, często również kojarzone z pojęciem sustainability. Dotyczy harmonijnego rozwoju organizacji, w tym także biznesowych, które w swych założeniach są nastawione na równoczesną realizacje celów ekonomicznych, społecznych i ekologicznych. Aspekty społeczne będą się przejawiać m.in. w realizacji założeń CSR. Zrównoważenie może być zakłócane występowaniem różnego rodzaju zagrożeń, także wynikających ze skrajnej turbulencji otoczenia. Skutki takich zakłóceń (w tym w ujęciu ekologicznym) mogą wywoływać stany kryzysowe w przedsiębiorstwach. Oczekiwane są zatem zachowania o charakterze rezylientnym (o różnym stopniu odporności i zdolności dostosowawczych wobec zmiennych warunków), pozwalającym na przezwyciężenie sytuacji kryzysowych. Mając na uwadze realizację założeń rozwoju zrównoważonego, podkreślić należy rolę polityki informacyjnej przedsiębiorstw odnośnie do ochrony środowiska naturalnego, a także znaczenie systemów zarządzania środowiskowego czy funkcjonowania łańcuchów dostaw. Zróżnicowanie zagrożeń – w tym występowanie tych o charakterze pandemicznym – powoduje konieczność właściwego ukierunkowania działań społecznie odpowiedzialnych. W ramach szeroko pojętej koncepcji zrównoważonego rozwoju dokonano między innymi wstępnej analizy wykonalności konkretnego, proekologicznego i innowacyjnego projektu hydrologicznego, umożliwiającego wytwarzanie energii elektrycznej. Powyższe tematy zostały podjęte w części pierwszej monografii pod tytułem: Zarządzanie zrównoważonym rozwojem organizacji. Strategie proekologiczne przedsiębiorstw. Część druga monografii nosi tytuł: Systemy informacyjne i zarządzanie bezpieczeństwem w strategiach rozwoju organizacji. Z jednej strony naświetlone zostały tu problemy zarządzania bezpieczeństwem organizacji rozumiane jako możliwości ciągłego, efektywnego funkcjonowania głównie firm produkcyjnych przy wsparciu m.in. współczesnych systemów informatycznych. Z drugiej – zwrócono uwagę na wzrost znaczenia bezpieczeństwa opisywanego jako bezpieczeństwo publiczne. Ten nurt w zarządzaniu zyskuje na znaczeniu wobec narastających, nieoczekiwanych zagrożeń, również pandemicznych. Także na znaczeniu zyskują działania zarządcze w przedsiębiorstwach świadczących usługi dla szerokich rzesz społeczeństwa. Problem, ten omówiono na przykładzie bezpieczeństwa ruchu kolejowego. Poruszono różne ważne kwestie szczegółowe, między innymi skuteczność narzędzi informatycznych w zakresie komunikowania istotnych informacji biznesowych, wspomaganie procesów biznesowych z wykorzystaniem systemów informatycznych klasy ERP, wsparcie sprzedaży, zarządzanie bezpieczeństwem danych produkcyjnych, uwarunkowania prawne doręczeń elektronicznych, formy komunikacji w zarządzaniu kryzysowym (przykład pandemii). Rozpatrując systemy zarządzania bezpieczeństwem w transporcie kolejowym, oparto się na założeniach funkcjonowania organizacji wysokiej niezawodności . Publikacja ukazuje wybrane aspekty dorobku naukowego i obszary zainteresowań badawczych zarówno pracowników Wydziału Zarządzania i Komunikacji Społecznej Krakowskiej Akademii im. Andrzeja Frycza Modrzewskiego, jak i pracowników innych uczelni i wydziałów, w szczególności deklarujących dyscyplinę nauki o zarządzaniu i jakości."(...

Information management in the era of the Internet. Selected issues

Introduction: "We are pleased to present a publication that was created following the first conference in the “IT and society” series, which took place on 15 November 2019 at the Faculty of Management and Social Communication at the Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski Krakow University. The publication contains the transcripts of the conference participants’ lectures in particular. It is a review of the role played by information in managing various areas of human activity, and of the related academic interests of the conference participants. The authors also indicate practical applications of the results of the above theoretical considerations. The following issues can be clearly noted in this monograph: information-based civilization, i.e. defining civilization through information, the discussion of the concept of information, language as an information carrier, the role of information in private life and in business, information security, archiving and management. As the issues discussed are very extensive, the individual chapters are more of an introduction than the final solution to the problem. This specifically applies to the chapters referring to theoretical considerations. It is a truism that the information transformed into knowledge is a key element of management that allows for making most reasonable decisions. The volume starts with the considerations on the role performed by information in the society and a search for an answer to the question whether our civilization is an information civilization and what it means. The authors of the next chapter deal with the issue of automatic website translation and its effectiveness. The authors makes an attempt at finding an answer to the question why certain websites are translated automatically and others are not. The next chapter deals with the issue of our privacy with the vast amount of information currently available on the Internet. The author is looking for answers to questions about the possibility of controlling what happens with our personal information and whether it is a problem for young people today. The next chapter offers the visualized results of data analysis, and an original technique of detecting certain types of data errors used for the analysis. Since the accuracy of management decisions based on these analyses is important from an economic point of view, the ability to detect possible data errors will help to avoid making wrong decisions. Personal digital archives are an important aspect of information management. Each of us stores digital photos, videos and music, one’s own texts and texts received from others, and downloaded from the Internet. Maintaining order that allows you to quickly find the information you need is not easy and the author analysed the problems related thereto. Any information is valuable, therefore you need to keep it secure. The Authors of the next chapter deal with issues related to information security management. The final chapter focuses on the priorities in the implementation of management support systems. The primary task of these systems is information processing, and the priorities are determined by the importance of the processing effects for enterprise management. In all considerations, the Authors pay attention to the important role of information in making management decisions. Social importance of information systems. In management

Introduction: We are pleased to present a monograph addressing key issues in contemporary management – information systems. Nowadays, many organizations face challenges of digital transformation and analysis of the large databases containing billions of records become the necessity of the day and the key factor of success. Organizations not able to cope with the digital world become obsolete and melt away. The publication invokes various aspects of the social importance of information within different organizations. The following issues resound in the monograph: how to exploit Business Intelligent class systems into the efficient management system for decision-making. A key factor in the competitiveness of modern organizations is the ability to transform business data, both in operational and strategic terms, into decision-making knowledge. It is an extremely complex process from the perspective of both the selection of variables, optimization formulas and the quality of data obtained to perform a reliable analysis and diagnosis. Another completely different issue is selecting, acquiring, and implementing technological solutions and providing adequate “know-how” in managing such a project, which significantly affects the outcome. The crucial question is to what extent can modern organizations, regardless of the scale of their activity or sector affiliation, use modern system solutions, with particular emphasis on Business Intelligence solutions, in terms of supporting the process of efficient decision making? The first part of the publication covers the characteristics of BI solutions in the context of knowledge management; analysis of the conditions in the selection of the system and supplier; comments on the implementation methodology of the BI class system, usability assessment of the above solutions, including a description of the advantages and disadvantages of “on-premise” applications, as well as the so-called “Cloud technologies”. The Authors employ the SAP Analytics Cloud system to illustrate BI solutions in the data processing. The second chapter refers to the very broad problem of the materiality and relevance of the information. In today’s online world, there is much more data to be processed and accessible to different parties like entrepreneurs, managers or clients. Companies have never had so much information at their disposal. When segmenting consumer data (cookies), online habits can be read by checking the pages they visit, the information they stop at, and the products they are seeking. It’s easy to find anything online because everyone can create and load data on the Internet. In turn, it shapes the environment in which companies can carefully select and adapt the message to a specific user to be as convincing as possible. All our movements leave a trace on the web, which is later used to define our behaviour, likes, preferences, etc. The second chapter presents the aspect of the possibility of collecting information cookies, as well as the Internet media used in marketing activities. It shows what information can be read from the visited pages and how data analysis supports the decision-making process. Last but not least, it also addresses the issue of the current state of website privacy protection. The next chapter brings closer the problem of museum e-shop. This part presents a qualitative research method on online museum stores on the example of 30 Polish museums with the highest attendance in 2017. The study showed that not all museums have online stores in the online version, and the biggest problem is the low percentage of e-stores enabling electronic payments. The problem is carried forward by the analysis of the usability of museum websites. Another issue invoked in the monograph is the e-learning technique. For example, how simulating programs, knowledge pills, or gamification can enrich the learning experience. Each of these methods is or may be used in education, and each has its advantages and drawbacks. The publication put special emphasis on knowledge pills, which are a relatively new, fast and effective way of communicating small but properly selected pieces of knowledge on a given topic. Due to the method of knowledge sharing is delivered when it is most needed. The last chapter presents considerations on the possibility of using knowledge pills as tools supporting the management of knowledge transfer with the use of materials developed in this form. It also shows the research results on knowledge pills carried out among students of senior high school years. We trust that our publication will attract all readers interested in management, education and computer science.
