Vallásosság Ă©s poszttraumás növekedĂ©s : egy többdimenziĂłs megközelĂtĂ©s = Religiosity and posttraumatic growth: A multidimensional approach
A poszttraumás növekedĂ©s (PTN) Ă©s vallásosság kapcsolatának eddigi vizsgálatai során a vallásosságot tĂşlnyomĂłrĂ©szt nĂ©hány itemmel Ă©s egydimenziĂłs jelensĂ©gkĂ©nt mĂ©rtĂ©k. Vizsgálatunkban figyelembe vettĂĽk, hogy mind a PTN, mind a vallásosság multidimenzionális termĂ©szetű, Ă©s az egyes jellemzĹ‘k közötti kapcsolatokat komplexitásukban kĂvántuk megragadni. FeltĂ©teleztĂĽk továbbá, hogy a PTN egyik összetevĹ‘je, a spirituális növekedĂ©s közvetĂteni fog a vallásosság dimenziĂłi Ă©s a PTN további tartományai között. KĂ©rdĹ‘Ăves vizsgálatunkban 282 egyetemista Ă©s fĹ‘iskolás hallgatĂł vett rĂ©szt, akik bevallásuk szerint valamennyien megĂ©ltek jelentĹ‘s negatĂv Ă©letesemĂ©nyt a vizsgálatot megelĹ‘zĹ‘ öt Ă©vben. Ezzel az esemĂ©nnyel kapcsolatban töltöttĂ©k ki a Poszttraumás növekedĂ©s kĂ©rdĹ‘Ăvet. A vallásosságot a Kritika utáni vallásosság skálával, az Intrinzik Ă©s extrinzik vallásosság kĂ©rdĹ‘Ăvvel Ă©s a Vallásos keresĂ©s kĂ©rdĹ‘Ăvvel mĂ©rtĂĽk. A vallásosságskálák pontĂ©rtĂ©kein fĹ‘komponens-elemzĂ©st vĂ©geztĂĽnk, Ă©s a következĹ‘ három faktort kaptuk: hit, vallásos keresĂ©s Ă©s vallásos konformitás. EredmĂ©nyeink szerint a spirituális változás a hit Ă©s a további növekedĂ©sdimenziĂłk kapcsolatát mediálta, a másik kĂ©t vallásosságfaktor tekintetĂ©ben viszont nem bizonyult közvetĂtĹ‘ változĂłnak. A vallásosságfaktorok közvetlen utakkal is kapcsolĂłdtak a növekedĂ©s egyes dimenziĂłihoz. Ă–sszessĂ©gĂ©ben az adatok arra utalnak, hogy a vallásosság kĂĽlönbözĹ‘ jellemzĹ‘i Ă©s a PTN összetevĹ‘i között sokrĂ©tű, de alapvetĹ‘en pozitĂv kapcsolat van, Ă©s az itt mĂ©rt hitfaktor a PTN legerĹ‘sebb elĹ‘rejelzĹ‘je.

In a previous research focusing on the relationship between posttraumatic growth and religiosity, religiosity was measured predominantly with single items and as a unidimensional construct. The present study regarded both posttraumatic growth (PTG) and religiosity multidimensional and aimed at capturing their relationships in their complexity. Spiritual growth, one aspect of PTG was assumed to mediate between dimensions of religiosity and further aspects of PTG. Self-report data was gathered from 282 university and college students, who stated that they had experienced a significant negative life event during the past 5 years. Posttraumatic Growth Inventory was used to assess PTG as a corollary of the event. Religiosity was measured with the Post-Critical Belief Scale Shortened Version, the Age Universal I-E Scale and the Quest Scale. Principal component analysis on items of these scales revealed three factors: faith, religious quest and religious conformity. Results show that spiritual growth may have a mediating role only between faith and aspects of PTG but not for the other two religious factors. The religious factors had also direct pathes towards certain dimensions of growth. In summary, data suggest that the relationship between different aspects of religiosity and PTG is multidimensional and basically positive, and tha factor of faith is the strongest predictor of PTG
A vallásos attitűdök, a megküzdési módok és a lelki egészség összefüggései serdülő- és fiatal felnőttkorban = The relationship between religious attitudes, coping strategies, and mental health in adolescence and young adulthood
Egyre több kutatás bizonyĂtja a vallás pozitĂv hatását a lelki egĂ©szsĂ©gre nĂ©zve. A jelen vizsgálatban arra a kĂ©rdĂ©sre kerestĂĽk a választ, hogy serdĂĽlĹ‘k Ă©s fiatal felnĹ‘ttek esetĂ©ben hogyan fĂĽgg össze a vallásos attitűd a megkĂĽzdĂ©s adaptĂv Ă©s nem adaptĂv formáival, valamint hogy lehet-e közvetĂtĹ‘ szerepe a megkĂĽzdĂ©snek a vallásosság Ă©s lelki egĂ©szsĂ©g közötti kapcsolatban. 190 budapesti közĂ©piskolás (átlagĂ©letkoruk 16,9 Ă©v) Ă©s 213 egyetemista (átlagĂ©letkoruk 21,4 Ă©v) töltötte ki anonim, önkitöltĹ‘s kĂ©rdĹ‘ĂvĂĽnket. EredmĂ©nyeink szerint a transzcendens elfogadása mind a serdĂĽlĹ‘, mind a fiatal felnĹ‘tt mintán erĹ‘s összefĂĽggĂ©st mutat az Ă©rzelmi-adaptĂv megkĂĽzdĂ©s faktorával, melyben szerepel a társas támasz elfogadása/igĂ©nybevĂ©tele is. A regressziĂłs elemzĂ©s eredmĂ©nyei arra utalnak, hogy az Ă©rzelmi-adaptĂv Ă©s a problĂ©maközpontĂş megkĂĽzdĂ©s közvetĂtĹ‘ tĂ©nyezĹ‘kĂ©nt játszhat szerepet a vallásosság Ă©s a pozitĂv lelki egĂ©szsĂ©g kapcsolatában. A vallásosság változása miatt azonban a vallásosság kĂĽlönbözĹ‘ aspektusai (közĂ©piskolásoknál a templomba járás gyakorisága Ă©s a transzcendens elfogadása, egyetemistáknál a vallásos kijelentĂ©sek szimbolikus Ă©rtelmezĂ©se) járulnak hozzá a megkĂĽzdĂ©si stratĂ©giák választásán keresztĂĽl a jobb lelki egĂ©szsĂ©ghez.

There is a growing body of evidence proving the protective effects of religion on mental health. In the present study our aim was to explore the relationship between religious attitudes and adaptive and non-adaptive coping, as well as the possible mediating role of coping in the relationship between religion and mental health in an adolescent and young adult sample. Data was gathered from 190 high-school students (mean age 16.9) and 213 university students (mean age 21.4) with the help of self-administered questionnaires. Our results show a strong relationship between the inclusion of transcendence and the factor of emotional-adaptive coping, including social support, in both age groups. Results of the regression analysis suggest that emotional-adaptive and problem-focused coping might play a mediating role in the relationship between religion and mental health. Due to the changes in religiosity, however, it is different aspects of religion (frequency of church attendance and inclusion of transcendence in high-school students, and symbolic interpretation in university students) that enhance mental health through the choice of coping strategies
Vallásosság és személyiség = Religiosity and personality
A kutatás során a vallásos orientáciĂłk Ă©s a szemĂ©lyisĂ©g közötti összefĂĽggĂ©st, valamint a vallásos orientáciĂłk mĂ©rĂ©sĂ©re kidolgozott eszköz (Post-Critical Belief Scale; Kritika utáni vallásosság-skála) hazai Ă©rvĂ©nyessĂ©gĂ©t vizsgáltuk. A kutatás igazolta a vallásos orientáciĂłk magasabb szintjei Ă©s a szemĂ©lyisĂ©g Ă©rettsĂ©ge közötti pozitĂv összefĂĽggĂ©st (biztos kötĹ‘dĂ©s, Ă©rettebb megkĂĽzdĂ©si mĂłdok), illetve igazolta a skála magyar változatának hazai környezetben valĂł megbĂzhatĂłságát, valamint felhĂvta a figyelmet a remĂ©ny koncepciĂł árnyaltabb kidolgozásának szĂĽksĂ©gessĂ©gĂ©re. | The aim of the research was to explore the relationship between religious orientations and personality, as well as testing the validity of the Hungarian version of the scale measuring religious orientation (Post-Critical Belief Scale) in a Hungarian environment. The results confirm the positive relationship between higher levels of religious orientation and the maturity of personality (characterized by secure attachment and mature coping mechanisms). The results also confirmed the validity of the scale, and brought the attention for the need for developing a more a differentiated hope concept
The Hungarian Mysticism Scale and its Associations with Measures of Religiosity, Personality, and Cognitive Closure
The purpose of this study was to introduce the Mysticism Scale on a Hungarian population and to investigate the meaning and nature of reported mystical experiences (ME) from three different aspects: their associations with religious attitudes, the big five personality traits, and the need for cognitive closure. The sample consisted of 240 respondents who completed the Mysticism scale, the Post Critical Belief Scale, the Big Five Inventory, and the Need for Cognitive Closure Scale using an online questionnaire. Results indicated that ME positively correlated with the two dimensions of the Post Critical Belief scale, as well as with Openness to Experience. Moderate but significant positive correlations were found between ME and Agreeableness. Finally, ME negatively correlated with the need for cognitive closure (NFC) and with three of the NFC subscales (Close-mindedness, Preference for Order, and Preference for Predictability). Regression analysis using the above as variables highlighted that the acceptance of Transcendence and Openness to Experience were the main predictors of mystical experiences, whilst Symbolic interpretation might also have contributed, although to a lesser extent

Identification of similar epitopes between SARS-CoV-2 and Bacillus Calmette-Guérin: potential for cross-reactive adaptive immunity
Objectives:
Bacillus Calmette–Guérin (BCG) vaccination has been implicated in protection against SARS-CoV-2 and as a non-specific immunization method against the virus. We therefore decided to investigate T cell and B cell epitopes within the BCG Pasteur strain proteome for similarity to immunogenic peptides of SARS-CoV-2.
Methods:
We used a bioinformatic approach and analyzed the BCG-Pasteur proteome to identify similar peptides to established and novel SARS-CoV-2 T cell and B cell epitopes.
Results:
We found 112 BCG MHC-I restricted T cell epitopes similar to MHC-I restricted T cell SARS-CoV-2 epitopes and 690 BCG B cell epitopes similar to SARS-CoV-2 B cell epitopes. The SARS-CoV-2 T cell epitopes represented 16 SARS-CoV-2 proteins, the SARS-CoV-2 B cell epitopes represented 5 SARS-CoV-2 proteins, including the receptor binding domain of the spike glycoprotein.
Conclusion:
Altogether our results provide a mechanistic basis for the potential cross-reactive adaptive immunity that may exists between the two microorganisms
