Moderating effect of social support on personal financial constraints and job stress relationship
The aim of this paper is to examine the moderating effect of social support (which may be supervisory, friends, family and relatives) on the relationship of personal financial constraints and job stress relationship. Sample consists of 294 respondents from randomly selected 28 branches of 22 banks located across all major cities of Pakistan. Moderated regression analysis has been used to test the hypothesized relationships. Personal financial constraints enhance job stress and social support moderates this relationship. Job stress increases when an employee faces financial constraints but decreases in the presence of social support. Practical and theoretical implications are drawn. This research is conducted in banking industry, so its results can’t be generalized to other industries. This paper is the first which examines the impact of a non-work related variable, personal financial constraint on job stress along with buffering role of social support. Its findings have great implications for employers for increasing productivity of employees.Job stress, personal financial constraints, social support, moderating, banking, Pakistan
Service quality and customers trust, moderating role of personality traits
Customers’ trust is an inevitable asset for organizations. The long-term relationship of customer-organization depends upon the presence of customers’ trust on the organization. It’s a delicate sense of feeling derived from quality and commitment of the organizations to meet customers’ expectations. The significance of this phenomenon in services industry becomes even more critical where organizations have to know individual as well as contextual factors that influence on customers’ trust. This study tested the impact of different dimensions of perceived service quality on customers’ trust and how this perception varies depending upon the personality disposition in life insurance sector of Pakistan. Using cross sectional research design, the study taped customers’ responses regarding service quality, customers’ trust, and their personality disposition. The sample was obtained from insurance sector in different cities of Pakistan, where 242 customers were participated in the survey Explanatory factor analysis, single mean T-test, correlation and hierarchical multiple regression analyses were used to test proposed hypotheses. The results indicate positive relationship between different dimensions of service quality and customers’ trust. The finding of moderation analysis shows that customer’s personality traits have varied effects on the relationships between dimensions of service quality and customers’ trust. Finally, based on quantitative findings, proposed framework was revised. This study recommends several implications for managers of services industry so that they should develop an effective service design to build long-term customers’ trust in accordance with different personality traits

In the title compound, C10H9NO5S, the fused ring system and the planar (r.m.s. deviation = 0.0037 Å) methoxycarbonylmethyl side chain form a dihedral angle of 84.67 (10)°. The crystal structure is stabilized by intermolecular C—H⋯O hydrogen bonds. A triclinic polymorph of the title compound is already known [Siddiqui et al. (2008 ▶). Acta Cryst. E64, o859]
Surgical management of subclavian and proximal axillary artery injuries
Subclavian and proximal axillary arterial injuries are rare and difficult to manage. Eight patients were managed from January 2008 to December 2018 at The Aga Khan University Hospital, Karachi, Pakistan with mean age of 36.13 ± 14.48 years. All patients had penetrating injuries, from gunshot in 5 (62.5%), bomb blast in 2 (25%), and stab wound in 1 (12.5%) case. Six (75%) patients presented in haemodynamically stable condition. The mean time between the injury and patient presentation was 28 ± 8.39 hours. The injuries were approached via supraclavicular incision in 3 (37.5%) patients, infraclavicular incisions in 2 (25%) patients and median sternotomy in 2 (25%) patients. Three (37.5%) patients had false aneurysm, while 5 (62.5%) had transected artery. Primary repair was performed in 2 (25%) cases, while 6 (75%) patients were treated with interposition graft with polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE). All patients have salvaged limbs with good functional outcomes
Successful treatment of benign lesions by bis 3- azophenyl-4-hydroxy-6-methyl-pyran-2-one cobalt (II) in albino rats
The study of the effect of bis 3-azophenyl-4-hydroxy-6-methyl-pyran-2-one cobalt (II) as chemotherapeutic agent was undertaken with the intention of studying the effects in 7,12-dimethylbenz[a] anthracene (DMBA) and tetradecanoyl phorbol-13-acetate (TPA) induced chemical carcinogenesis on skin of 5 - 7 weeks old healthy albino rats. The animals were divided into 5 groups (A, B, C, D and E) of twenty each. The rats were treated with carcinogens for 15 weeks and then the curative effect of bis 3-azophenyl-4-hydroxy- 6-methyl-pyran-2-one cobalt (II) was observe. The bis 3-azophenyl-4-hydroxy-6-methyl-pyran-2-one cobalt (II) prevents malignant conversion of chemically induced benign tumors and did not kill cancer cells but change them to normal cells. It was concluded that if the complex is given in the pre-malignant phase of tumor development, it decreases the risk of malignant transformation.Key words: 7,12-Dimethylbenz[a] anthracene (DMBA), tetradecanoyl phorbol-13-acetate (TPA), complex {bis- 3-azophenyl-4-hydroxy-6-methyl-pyran-2-one cobalt (II)}, skin cancer
Methyl 2-methyl-4-(oxiran-2-ylmethoxy)-2H-1,2-benzothiazine-3-carboxylate 1,1-dioxide
In the title compound, C14H15NO6S, the thiazine ring adopts a distorted half-chair conformation. The structure displays several cooperative weak intermolecular C—H⋯O hydrogen-bonding interactions, giving rise to a two-dimensional sheet packing motif. The CH2 group in the methoxy linker to the oxirane ring, and the CH group in that ring, exhibit twofold positional disorder. The three-membered oxirane ring is twisted approximately perpendicular with respect to thiazine ring (dihedral angle = 60/86° for the major/minor disorder components). 1,2-Benzothiazines of this kind have a wide range of biological activities and are mainly used as medicines in the treatment of inflammation and rheumatoid arthritis

Tags: Augmenting Microkernel Messages with Lightweight Metadata
In this work, we propose Tags, an e cient mechanism that augments microkernel interprocess
messages with lightweight metadata to enable the development of new, systemwide
functionality without requiring the modi cation of application source code. Therefore, the
technology is well suited for systems with a large legacy code base and for third-party
applications such as phone and tablet applications.
As examples, we detailed use cases in areas consisting of mandatory security and runtime
veri cation of process interactions. In the area of mandatory security, we use tagging
to assess the feasibility of implementing a mandatory integrity propagation model in the
microkernel. The process interaction veri cation use case shows the utility of tagging to
track and verify interaction history among system components.
To demonstrate that tagging is technically feasible and practical, we implemented it
in a commercial microkernel and executed multiple sets of standard benchmarks on two
di erent computing architectures. The results clearly demonstrate that tagging has only
negligible overhead and strong potential for many applications
Spatial Evaluation of Waste Disposal Site Selection Using GIS-Based Multi-Criteria Analysis: A Case Study of Dera Ghazi Khan District, Pakistan
The rapid population growth and rising per capita incomes have caused the city to generate massive amounts of municipal waste, indicating a serious environmental threat. Solid waste disposal has become a crucial problem for several municipalities. The selection of suitable waste disposal sites is a crucial problem in the urban areas of developing countries like Pakistan due to unsatisfactory urban planning and management to decrease human being’s health risks. Particularly, Dera Ghazi (D.G.) Khan district is facing the issue of identifying suitable sites for solid waste disposal. This research aims to select appropriate potential sites suitable for solid waste disposal purposes in the D.G. Khan. Primary datasets used for this study are Landsat-8 satellite imagery, digital elevation model (DEM) with 30-meter resolution for slope extraction. Other criteria included roads, railroads, and rivers digitized using the topographical map of the study area. The maps are prepared to incorporate overlay and suitability analysis using Geographic Information System (GIS), Remote Sensing techniques, and Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP), a multi-criteria analysis. The final suitability map of study area is prepared using a GIS software suite and categorized as highly, moderately, least, and unsuitable regions, of which 3% is entirely unsuitable area, 70% less suitable, 26.16% moderately suitable, and 0.84% highly suitable area. The suggested disposal sites have been carefully selected to assist policymakers in determining the most sensitive areas and resolving waste management issues with the slightest contamination of water bodies and the environment
