Pendampingan Masyarakat dalam Membangun Lingkungan Bersih di Era Pandemi Covid-19

The KKN-Thematics Activity Program to Build a Village aims to direct the community in building a social environment during the covid-19 pandemic. Many people know about social distanting, physical distancing, always wear a mask when traveling outside the house, always wash their hands after activities outside the house, and some other health slogans, but do not realize that not only ourselves are guarded, but the environment as well. Because people get used to or teach people to live clean and healthy lives are still difficult. The method used in the KKN-Thematics Program to Build Villages is assistance to community elements in building a clean environment during the Covid-19 pandemic. People will also be taught knowledge, understanding of the environment and clean society, in an effort to minimize the occurrence of pandemics in the villages of West Pentadu and Hungayonaa. Evaluation is carried out to obtain information not only as learning materials for related communities but also related to the implementation of clean lifestyle through the movement of community elements and students of KKN Thematic Village Building

FIGURATIVE LANGUAGE IN TAYLOR SWIFT’S SONGS (A SEMANTIC ANALYSIS)

This study aimed to find out the types of figurative language meaning in Taylor Swift’s songs. There are two songs by Taylor Swift in the album 1989 with the title blank space and new romantics were used in this research as the data. This research has conducted with used descriptive qualitative method. The approach used in this research is a semantic analysis based on linguistics theory. This research used two main theories by Abram (1999), which focuses on analyzing the types of figurative language and the theory of meaning by Leech (1974) which focuses on analyzing the meaning in blank space and new romantic songs. The technique of collecting the data used library research. The data were analyzed by identifying, classifying, and analyzing. This research indicated seven types of figurative language were found in this research. As the result, there are 6 types of metaphor, 6 types of simile, 2 types of personification, 4 types of hyperbole, 12 types of symbolism,  1 type of irony, and 2 types of paradox. Furthermore, the researcher also found 5 types of semantic meaning in blank space and new romantic songs. There are 5 types of connotative meaning, 11 types of affective meaning, 9 types of social meaning, 1 type of conceptual meaning, and 2 types of collocative meaning

The Transformation of the Character Einar Wegener to A Transgender Woman in the Film ‘The Danish Girl’: A Psychological Point of View

This present work aimed to determine the process of transforming one’s identity from a man to a woman when one must overcome obstacles in a real-life condition depicted in the film The Danish Girl. It is based on Freud’s theory about the human psychological level, with the addition of Queer Theory in completing this research. This descriptive qualitative research obtained data source from the biographical film The Danish Girl directed by Tom Hopper, released in 2015. The subject studied is limited on the main character analysis, who later became Transgender and changed his name to Lili Elbe. In this case, this research focuses on changing the character of a man to a woman in a film and also the limitation used to examine this study is to pay attention to the psychological point of view by using and applying two theories as an approach to reviewing this research. Thus, based on the data, it was discovered there were 39 scenes of Einar transforming into transgender, of which 27 scenes represented ID, 7 represented EGO and 5 scenes were SUPEREGO. The objective of  this study are expected to enrich issues related to the development of the human psyche. The researcher hoped that the result of this study also could enrich the next researcher’s knowledge about the psychological problem, especially about The Transformation of the Characters Einar Wegener to Transgender Women. In conclusion, Einar's transformation does not necessarily affect what is inside of him, but everything proceeds according to the time before he becomes a Transgender. The research opens up avenues for further exploration and analysis in the field of transgender studies, gender identity, and psychological development. It encourages future researchers to delve deeper into the topic and conduct more comprehensive studies on the representation of transgender individuals in various media forms

Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Melalui Pengolahan Bahan Baku Ikan Tuna Menjadi Abon Ikan Untuk Mendukung Parawisata Lokal Di Desa Langgula Kecamatan Batudaa Pantai Kabupaten Gorontalo

Pemberdayaan masyarakat melalui pengolahan abon ikan pada kelompok usaha merupakan usaha untuk memaksimalkan kemampuan dari masyarakat dalam mengembangkan individu melalui kelompok agar dapat mencapai kesejahteraan. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini yaitu agar masyarakat, khususnya pelaku usaha dapat membuat olahan ikan menjadi abon dengan cita rasa yang berbeda dari abon lain. Dalam hal pemberdayaan kelompok usaha terhadap individu atau anggota diharapkan dapat memanajemen keuangan, memanfaatkan sumber daya manusia, dan inovasi dalam pemasaran. Dengan dilaksanakannya kegiatan ini diharapkan masyarakat dapat membuat olahan ikan menjadi abon dengan rasa yang berbeda dari abon yang lain, serta menambah wawasan mengenai faktor penting dalamkolompok usaha sehingga tercapai suatu kesejahteraan.

Pembelajaran Menyenangkan sebagai Upaya Memberdayakan Potensi dan Menumbuhkan Minat Belajar Siswa SDIT Quratu A’yun Kota Gorontalo

The purpose of this community service activity is to empower students’ potential in English through fun learning activities, as well as to foster students’ interest in learning English. This activity is conducted by implementing several games and songs in learning processes. The 5th grade students of SDIT Qurratu A’yun, which was located in Kota Tengah Districst, Gorontalo City, with a total number of 20 students were taken as the sample of this activity. This community service activity was carried out for eight meetings using various methods and materials that were considered fun for the students. The result showed that the students were interested and motivated in learning English that led to their vocabulary improvement

STRATEGI KEGIATAN LITERASI DENGAN TEMA "FUN LEARNING" UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN MEMBACA BAHASA INGGRIS PADA ANAK

  Abstrak Membaca adalah kebiasaan yang dapat di pupuk dan dikembangkan pada anak. Secara umum memotivasi anak untuk membaca adalah tugas yang sulit, apalagi membaca teks dalam Bahasa Inggris. Oleh karena itu, tujuan dari pengabdian pada masyarakat ini adalah meningkatkan kemampuan anak usia sekolah dasar belajar bahasa Inggris khususnya pada pembelajaran membaca (reading skill) yang salah satu caranya dengan menggunakan teknik Fun Learning yaitu belajar dengan kegiatan yang menyenangkan. Inovasi yang di gunakan pada kegiatan ini adalah menggabungkan ciri belajar cerdas, mudah, cepat dan menyenangkan. Pengabdian ini dilaksanakan sebanyak 4 kali pertemuan. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan berupa model pembelajaran langsung, pemberian tugas, dan demonstrasi. Dengan pelaksanaan pengabdian ini diharapkan dapat memotivasi para siswa agar lebih menyukai belajar Bahasa Inggris, sehingga kedepan mereka lebih bersiap untuk terus belajar bahasa inggris. Oleh sebab itu, media dan strategi penyampaian materi ajar bahasa Inggris harus benar-benar dilakukan dengan cermat dan matang, terutama materi yang akan diberikan kepada siswa level beginner. Dengan demikian literasi Bahasa inggris mereka meningkat sehingga tercapai masyarakat yang berwawasan internasional. Kata kunci: Membaca; Strategi; Media; Fun Learning; Pembelajaran Langsung; Demonstrasi.

Peta Ide sebagai Strategi Menulis Deskriptif Teks pada Siswa Pontren Al-Falah

AbstractWriting is a simple and enjoyable activity. Students can be helped with various strategies to express their ideas, thoughts, and feelings in writing. This service is provided to assist Madrasah Aliyah Al-Falah students in writing descriptive texts using mind mapping strategy. The students liked the strategy because it motivated them to write descriptive texts in a fun way. Mind mapping is still the recommended strategy for writing descriptive texts because it can create a pleasant classroom environment, encourage students to be more creative in expressing their ideas, and improve writing results.Keywords: descriptive text, mind mappin
